LoveNJstyle answered Saturday June 2 2007, 8:19 pm: it means they don't mess around with a bunch of stuff to "give you what you want to here" or "lie to agree with you/make you feel better"
example:
"i'm 4'11, 200 lbs and my doctor said i'll have a heart attack by 20 if i don't lose some weight. should i lose weight?"
sugarcoated answer: hmm maybe you could try to shape up a little for your health. you seem ok though, there are a lot of big-boned people out there.
not sugarcoated: yeah you should really go to a gym...you are really overweight and unhealthy. listen to your doctor and lose at least 50 pounds.
if you need anything else, let me know. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
yarmica answered Saturday June 2 2007, 8:12 pm: well whoever it is means that the truth is not necessarily told in a "diplomatic" way... i.e be warned the responses you get from that columnist may be harsh or just blunt as much as truthful.... [ yarmica's advice column | Ask yarmica A Question ]
