MyHappyShoe answered Thursday May 31 2007, 1:32 pm: The safest way not to get drunk is to not drink at all. Since you're 14 alcohol is very dangerous to you since your body is developing. Do you want to know what alcohol does to your body and why the legal age is set to 21? Ok, I'll tell you. Your body is constantly growing and changing, especially since you're so young and probably going through puberty (which makes alcohol intake 100 times more dangerous). When you drink alcohol it re-butes every system in your body. Has your computer ever crashed? If not, I'm sure you know what happens. You have to restart everything on your computer so it's like brand new and then re-do important things (projects, downloads, etc.). That's how your body reacts to alcohol at your age. It's like making your "inner computer" crash so it restarts every system. The legal drinking age is set to 21 because that's when every system in your body has fully developed and wont re-bute itself. There are also other reasons like addiction, alcohol poisoning, liver cancer, liver failure, heart problems, and depression. Now, do you want to drink on Saturday? If so the just eat before hand, drink a lot of water, and don't down 2 drinks in 30 min (drink sparingly- make 2 drinks last atleast an hour), but what you're doing is illegal and the fines, if you get caught, are pretty heavy and whoever is supplying the alcohol will definately be fined for letting minors, especially at such a young age, drink.
EDIT: Well someone had said you were 14. I also answered your damn question better than any other person would, but since you got more than you wanted you gave me a bad rating. Thank you very much for the smart ass feedback also. I was giving you a heads up on what you were getting yourself into and I also answered your question. uisforukelele answered Thursday May 31 2007, 10:59 am: it depends on your weight. somebody said that you're 14, so 2 drinks would probably be too much. the best thing to do is make sure you have eaten beforehand. also, drink water at the same time you're drinking whatever alcohol so that the alcohol is diluted as it enters your bloodstream. the best way to not get drunk is to not drink. you already know this, but it is illegal for a minor to consume alcohol, and it is illegal for somebody to supply a minor with alcohol.
EDIT: did you rate me a 4 because i told you the alcohol laws? that's fine, really. claiming ignorance to the law does not make one immune to the law. judging by this scenario, i will not be surprised if you learn that through firsthand experience. and if you want to look up how much you can drink based on your weight, hello google or any driver's education source. Sabine answered Thursday May 31 2007, 12:24 am: You start by eating a good meal with your alcohol. Get a weak alcohol (beer is much weaker than tequilla, for example). You drink it slowly.
Actually, never mind that. You're 14, according to your profile. You should not drink. There are health, safety, and legal reasons. Don't do it.
