i was wondering, why are there so many groups in skool? like preps, goths, punks, metalheads, populars, secondary populars, loners, gunks(a mix of punks and goths), and just "others". it all just creates mayhem, like a popular cant go out with a goth, or they will loose all their friends. i think it is so stupid. can you explain to me why people must insist on putting people in different catigories? does it really matter?

I think it's dumb, but people feel more comfortable when they have other people who they feel are just like them that they can hang out with.I think it would prepare us for the future more if everyone hung out with everyone people who are different than them.But thats just high school.

i have this really good guy friend who is a year older than me .in fact , i call him my "big brother" and he calls me "little sis" . LOL . anyway , the other day when i was just talking to him , i reached across him to get something from the person sitting on the other side of him . ( we were sitting in a row , with him in the center ) and i sort of brushed against his chest while bending back . After that , i noticed that he got a boner and there was a lump in his pants . well now i'm kinda freaked out cos i never thought that he would like me ( especially bcos of the little sis big bro thing ) . i'm confused and don't know if i like him .. what should i do ?

Boys will be boys.It's human nature for guys to get turned on when a girl rubs against him,and its not like you guys really are brother and sister.You can't hold it against him,because it's something he can't control.

Hi there, I'm 14 years old and I have a problem with self harm. It used to be controlable, but now it's an addiction. No one else knows, and I don't know how I can stop, because it's getting really bad. How do I control it??

By self-harm do u mean cutting?The only effective way to completely control it is through counseling.Also try to find something else to replace your cutting, that helps get your frustrations out like cutting does such as listening to music,dancing,writing,reading,or my personal favorite which always makes me feel better watch movies, movies that have adventure in it so you forget about reality for lose couple of hours.If you ever need someone to talk to im me on aim my sn is sp0iled shedevil or leave on in my inbox.

ok this is weird for me just to say out of nowhere, but i'm Mexican. ok where do i start? ok, my parents are kind of racist. they are always making fun of my white friend (of course not in front of her face) and think my other friend is weird just because she is black. my other friend is asian and they don't want me to be her friend. actually, my whole school is full of racist kids and they think a lot of the same things as my parents, since about 90% of my school is mExican. anyway, its not just my friends, my parents are totally judging everything i do and say i'm turning into some kind of white girl or something. when i lsten to rap songs, they tell me "dont be listening to those black songs. they use bad language and send the wrong message to people." i get really mad at my parents for being like that, but they tell me its for my own good and they want me to stay mexican. does that make any sense to you? because i don't get it at all. i guess what they mean is that, since i learned english when i was 3, listen to almost all english songs, and almost never speak spanish, they think i'm forgetting my roots, but that is sooo not true!!! it's not like i can just stop being mexican! anyway, they are trying to get me to be "more mexican" by pushing away eveything else and being racist. the other day i was listening to the radio and eminem's "mockingbird" came on and my dad got mad and told me that he doesn't want me listening to that crap. i honestly felt like hitting him...but he's my dad.why are my parents so mean and racist and am i really to blame for "not being a real mexican"?

I think your parents are just really proud of their roots.My dad is italian, so he only wants me to date italian guys, and he wants me to appreciate that side of my heritage and stuff, even though i don't think of it as that big of a deal.Just tell your parents that america is full of different races and customs and you just have to learn to be around people who are different.But don't expect them to change overnight, and even if they don't change their views, it doesn't mean you can't be friends with whoever you want, it's your choice and they can't change your beliefs no matter how hard they try.

Yeah I think he likes you.If he said no when someone asked him if he liked brooke,but smiled when they asked if he liked you it seems he likes you but doesn't want to let anyone know because he has a girlfriend.He might be confused about whether he likes you or his girlfriend more, so give him sometime to decide what he wants to do.Or you can talk to him about it, and let him know you still like him.If you want to know anything else leave it in my inbox

Pros:
*It shows your individuality.
*It seperates you from everyone else.

Cons:

1.)The changes of a word in the dictionary to be spelled wrong is very slim,maybe impossible.

2.)Hmm interesting question.I'd guess yes, because they know they are one,but thats hard.

I've started using a gothic appearence. (I dressed in black a lot and use dark black make-up on my eyes and either brown or red lipstick.) Nobody even understand why I'm doing it. I'm sort of doing it as an expirement. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong.)It freaks out my teachers, classmates call me a vampire, my boyfriend acts scared of me, and my parents don't like anything about my new look. All I've changed is how I look. I don't want to lose my friends just for the sake of looking gothic. But, if they can't accept how I want to look, are they real friends? What should I do? Advice please!

If people can't accept you for who you are, and love you despite the way you dress, then theyre not worth your time.Nothing matters besides whats inside, so no matter what you look like your friends should stay by your side.

I've got shoulderlength fine brown hair. I was stupid and my round bristle brush got rolled up in it and i can't get it out. How do i get it out

Get the hair that your brush is stuck in and gentley wiggle it to get it out.Just be patient and keep doing it it will come out eventually.

I’m 14/f and no one have ever asked me out on a date. I am not ugly in fact I recently learned that the boys from my old school which I left 1 ½ years ago thought I was the prettiest girl in the class. I am extremely shy and I really can’t flirt. Also usually even if I like someone I am very cold to them for a long time, it’s like a protective action. But now I just feel so lonely!

I used to be just like that.I was always so shy, and was taught (wrong) that you shouldnt talk to boys they'll think you're easy which isn't true!just start talking to a boy you feel most comfortable talking to, like the boy sitting next to you in math class.And then maybe you can gather the courage to talk to a boy you like!And think positive about yourself, if you think of yourself as beautiful, you'll have the confidence and ability to do anything:-)

What is the difference between a bowl? a bong? and a joint? Im so lost when my brothers talk about this.

I don't smoke weed, but i know what all that stuff is.A bowl is a bowl-shaped thing kind of like a pipe and they put the weed in there and light it and smoke it.a bong is a long tube like thing that looks kinda hippish that they use to smoke out of.and a joint is a cigarette-looking thing but instead of tobacco theres weed.
