I have been having sever pain around my bladder and that area. I know I have a cyst on both of my overies, and they could be getting bigger. I am scared to go to the doctor, because I don't like getting invaded. Should I go no matter what?
karenR answered Tuesday March 15 2005, 8:46 pm: Yes you should go no matter what.I understand the invaded feeling but you don't want to be in pain either. Better to know whats going on for your own piece of mind. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
dreamingkat answered Tuesday March 15 2005, 11:45 am: First, find someone to help you locate your appendix. If the pain is near your appendix you needed to be at the doctors 10 min ago. Seriously.
Pain anywhere else in your abdominal region can be monitored. As silly as it sounds, gas really does cause the majority of abdominal pain, and it can hurt really bad. Muscle cramps of various sorts are next in line. It's probably not horribly encouraging, but most of the things that go wrong in your abdominal region don't hurt.
The cysts are quite unlikely to be causing the pain, and are also unlikely to develop into anything really serious. If you have a large number of cysts on both ovaries, it might cause difficulty conceiving, but it wouldn't cause pain. [ dreamingkat's advice column | Ask dreamingkat A Question ]

mgh12 answered Monday March 14 2005, 7:27 pm: Yeah I would say go to a doctor if you arent sure. You could always ask for them not to surround you and invade your personal space, they might just listen. :) hope everything's better.
kleokriesel answered Monday March 14 2005, 4:19 pm: Invaded? Um...ok.
Either you could deal with the pain and whatever is wrong with your pubic area will just stay that way. Or you could go see a doctor, find out what's wrong, and get it fixed. [ kleokriesel's advice column | Ask kleokriesel A Question ]
Sophie_xxx answered Monday March 14 2005, 4:02 pm: Yeah, you definitely should. I know it might seem really embarrassing, but it's better that than becoming seriously ill or whatever.
You can ask for a female doctor and they probably see this sort of thing all of the time, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. You'll be glad you did someday.
Good luck hun,

xxASKAWAYxx answered Monday March 14 2005, 3:26 pm: Ovarian cysts can grow five or six centimetres wide and usually last four to six weeks. They’re very common, normally painless, and usually go away without treatment.
In a couple of weeks just go to the doctor or tell your mom .. but that thing above ^^ is from a website so dont worry.
mrs_radcliffe answered Monday March 14 2005, 2:08 pm: Yes i think you should go because its very important that you get it cheaked out no matter what. Good luck

YES! It's better to find out what you have than to let it develop further and pose further health risks. Although you don't like getting invaded, you'll be relieved to discover what it is instead of dealing with the pain of not knowing. [ mylinhthan's advice column | Ask mylinhthan A Question ]
craazylau answered Monday March 14 2005, 1:44 pm: You definitely should go to the doctor. It'll be definitely worth it because it'll either put your mind at rest or sort the problem out and both of those are good things! Let the doctor know that you dont like being examined and hopefully he'll keep this in mind and be extra kind to you. Hope this is helpful [ craazylau's advice column | Ask craazylau A Question ]
