i deffinitly go with swimming, i'm a swimmer and i just got out of my freshmam yr. and let me tell you something swimming was AWESOME! The team was great, the season isnt too long soo you willl have time for your busy life and it gets your in great shape..especially for the summer. but if your still un-sure i would ask your sister the things about cheerleading that she likes and then you can think about the things you like about swimming and then go from there. =] glad to help

sarah.

Maybe you should ask your sister about how she likes cheerleading.. and ask her if she wished she could have picked swimming.. and ask her what all you do in cheerleading and stuff!!
I hope this helps!

Definitely whichever one you like better. Swimming will probably get you in better shape, but cheerleading is still good. Don't think about looks, what your friends are doing, or following in your sister's steps. Just think about which one you will regret skipping. It's YOUR choice, and no one but YOU can choose. You may not think I helped much, but just think about it- it's your life! Hope I helped!

personaly i would say swimming. i am a swimmer in highschool and i had to choose between dance and swimming. i am soooo glad i chose swimming because i do club dance outside of school and swimming deffintely keeps me in shape. i also do waterpolo. be different from your sister and chose swimming. it's a whole different enviorment but it's a great sport that you shouldn't give up.

You need to do your research. If you want to get a scholar ship on sports then choose wich one your better at. See whos doing cheerleading and see your compition see whos doing swimming as well. It depends how good you are. tryout for the one your most likely to make. If you dont make it, then go for the next one. I hope this all works out!! good luck:) xoxo BLONDE911

Kaydee! I Use to swim. But I had to give it up I mean I loved to swim so much but we went every night 6 -830 except fridays which was 6-730.See I dance cheer and I play fastpitch and all together thats enough for me. I mean if you love to cheer go ahead and cheer. But see in swimming you get a lot of more excercise. I think to make a hard decision like that you could either : Try one year of cheerleading and one year of swimming .. and then choose or you could just sit down and really think hard about it. Hope i helped XOXO Michelle PS: if u ever need anymore advice ask me..OH AND SORRY I GOT LIKE PERSONAL.. SORRY KAYDEE

Thats a hard decision... well even though cheerleading might get you more popular, i guess, swimming is a whole lot better for you physically... you use your arm and leg muscles and you use your lungs physically which is a great for your health. but the decision is up to you!

ok i say do swimming because it works every part of your body and at school the cheerleaders are always picked on/hated by other people who think their all preppy and stuck up

Okay, well it all depends on you. Like some people on here might like cheer, so they would tell you to cheer. and some people here might like swimming so they tell you to do swim. I say you should do something that you have never done before and/or havent really got to experience. So which one have you havent had a chance to do? Pick the sport that you havent really experienced a lot!

Karen answered Tuesday March 1 2005, 3:52 pm:
I think cheerleading would be better for you, since you will have more friends and you will always have make up on and your hair will be neater, rather than swimming where your make up and hair is messy and such. Even though that has nothing to do when deciding what sport to choose, it does if you think about it. If you want to be different from your sister, then pick swimming but I think you should be cheerleading.

I'd choose cheerleading. It's a lot of fun and gives you great work outs. You meet a lot of new people and become friends with everyone. A lot of younger people start looking up to you and always want to be like that girl who cheerleads. Since your sister cheerleads, you could always cheerlead together around the house. She could even teach you new things and stuff that could make you a better cheerleader. It would even make you and your sisters bond better!

S_C answered Tuesday March 1 2005, 3:31 pm:
Well cheerleading in my opinion would be a lot more fun. You'd stay fit, you'd make lots more friends (from the people on the squad, and people on the teams) you'd get to go to all the games (FOR FREE) you'd get to go to competititons, and well you're hair doesn't get all gross. I love to swim, but if I had the choice between the two I'd choose cheerleading. Though I'm more of a basketball person myself. I find that sport a lot of fun, well basketball and soccer. I'm super good at soccer, but I'm pretty good at basketball. But I'd go with cheerleading. It's all up to you though.
