I think I may be bi... I never really thought about it before a few days ago, you see my friends and I were playing Truth (it's like truth or dare without dares)and "David" asked what my deepest, darkest secret was. I said that it was that I used to make out and do other things with a girl that used to live by me. Then I realized I do a whole bunch of other things, like look at women's faces and breasts. I never really enjoyed doing things with her, but it felt nice... sorta. I don't really want to be Bi (no offense!!! I'm an activist). Do you think this was just a phase or do I truly have feelings for women? I haven't had any feelings since and I don't intend on doing anything with girls again.

I think youre most likely just curious. Its totally normal to look at other womens bodies and face and think they are attractive. It doesnt necessarily mean you want to have a relationship with a women. These days, pretty much anyone can make out with anyone and not be gay or bi. Sometimes girls make out with girls because its fun and to get guys attention. Also, you cant really choose to be bi so if you are, you have to accept it.

i have trouble sleeping at night.. what can i do besides sleeping pills?
Dont eat/drink anything with sugar or caffeine for 2-3 hours prior to sleeping and dont do anything high activity such as dancing or working out. Usually, relaxing and soft music and candles help me to go to sleep. Also, taking a hot bath before you go to sleep and being in comfortable clothes.

It sounds pretty normal. Its probably just discharge which everyone gets. You usually get it before you get your period for the first time. But it doesnt mean its going to come in a few days. You can get discharge for a few YEARS before your period starts. If it smells very bad and itches, it could be a yeast infection (common and easy to treat) and she should tell her mom/go to a doctor to get it treated.

ok wow. today i went to this party. all these people were like drinking and smoking. i felt so bad! i almost felt like crying. this was my first *drunk party* or whatever you call them. i didn't get drunk or smoked or anything. but, i feel so bad. all these people doing all these things. the cops came and arrested this kid because he was above the alchohol level or w/e. i just fee so weird and so dissapointed about this. it's not that i'm a nerd. it's just that i see it on tv and stuff, but i didn't expect this from some people. we all go to private schools. i'm not saying that people that don't go to private schools drink and stuff. but, i mean, that we all live pretty sheltered lives, you know? we go out and stuff, but we go to small schools and i just don't see why they would do this. i just want advice from anyone that maybe has gone through this sort of thing and maybe to give say something uplifting relating to this

Well, drinking is everywhere. When I first figured out people were drinking, I was sad too. And the first person I found out that did it was my SISTER. But, you have to realize that kids drank way before now. Its not a new thing. And theyre going to continue to drink, so you need to get used to it. Im NOT saying you should do it because I dont even think its right. But if you go to a party you should expect it. Dont worry, you just got freaked out seeing it the first time. Thats normal..just most kids never say anything about it because its "not cool". Its good that you did though! and its good you dont like drinking. Youre smart! :] anyway theres no 2 ways around alcohol, lots of smart kids drink and dumb ones too. They probably dont even want to - theyre just doing it because its "cool". So if you feel like you really cant stand being around it, then you have to give up stuff that is fun or you need to find a group of people who DONT. There must be some people who dont in your school. And if you still want to BE at the party, you dont have to drink. Sometimes, people just get beer and hold it. They dont drink it.

Um, are you asking how to make it not smell bad down there? If so, the columnists are answering a totally different question. By the way, this is SOOO normal! When you take a shower, make sure you wash down there with lots of soap and water. If it doesnt work, you might have to use a douche bag which you can buy at a store and it cleans out down there. If it really does smell fishy and you tried both these things, you might have a yeast infection or some kind of infection down there and you'll need to talk to your doctor to get medication so it can be treated.

Im 17. My mom keeps pushing me to get a job. I want a job, because I want to get a car. But I realise that once I get a car, Ill have to pay for insurance and gas, so basically once I start working, I wont stop until Im like 60. That makes me sad because Im not ready to grow up yet. I think youre mom is trying to prepare you for the REAL world in which you will need to actually work and sacrifice. But, I agree with you totally. Youre only 17 once. Why work when you could party?! But, people I know get jobs that dont make them work that much and they get paid! And they still have tons of time to party. Its best to avoid jobs that dont pay much much and make you work long hours. Like a supermarket or a clothing store. Its better to work at a restaurant as a hostess (you only have to work a few hours at night and at most restaurants YOU pick what days/times you want to work.) And people who work at restaurants (washing tables, making salads/desserts and hostessing) only work a few hours and then have time to go out after work. Get a fun job, like lifeguarding or working at a health spa/gym. Also, babysitting is a job that lets YOU pick when you want to work. So, thats a good job. You CAN have both a life & a job..it just takes balance. Also, try negotiating with your Mom to pay for half of something. For example, my parents bought my sister a car with insurance but she has to pay for gas + anything else extra she wants like clothes.

Theres no medecine or special food. You are only 14 so youre still growing! If you havent had your period, theres also a better chance you will grow more because after your period, you dont grow as much. But, just try to embrace your height. Theres not much you can do about it. Oh, and buy heels. Thats what helps me. :]

I got my first period yesterday and when i look in my underwear they were all ruined because of the blood. Theyre not ruined. If you wash them well with stain remover, it will come out. Theres not really a lot of ways to know when exactly youre going to get your period..its really irregular. Sometimes it comes in your sleep! So, next month, if you start to get moody or you get cramps and its AROUND the time you got your period, then you could start wearing panty liners just to be safe.

I would wear a tampon. Its the most sure way you KNOW you will not have any leaks which would be really bad. It really hurts me, so sometimes if Im at the end of my period, I just put panty liners in my bathing suit or I wear a big pad with shorts. Hope that helps.

If you want to clear your pores, what I do is I boil water on the stove (without a lid) and I put my face close to the water so I can feel the steam. I use a towel over my face to trap the steam so it works better. It cleans out your pores and feels so refreshing. All you need is 10-15 minutes. Besides that, wash your face every day, eat healthy, and drink water!

I'm 17/f. I'm about 5'11". I've never been kissed, been on a date or had a boyfriend. Not to sound arrogant or anything but I am pretty. I have a great personality. Me and this boy really got attached to eachother at camp. We both REALLY liked eachother, but we couldn't be a couple becuase it was the last week of camp! You could have an overactive bladder which can be treated with medecine and should be! I mean, it doesnt need to be, but its not convenient to have to go to the bathroom all the time. I imagine it gets annoying. The only way you can get medecine is through your doctor, though. And if youre taking any medecation you have to tell your Mom. Who cares if they laugh at you? They shouldnt if theyre your SISTERS but I know how that goes.
