Someone has already recommended Melatonin which is an excellent recommendation as it is all natural and already something your body produces. You can buy the pills or just have a tall glass of warm milk which already has a good amount of melatonin in it. If you do get the pills, don't go above 3mg per dose. ifonlytheskywasgreen answered Saturday August 12 2006, 5:42 pm: I had the same problem for a while. 1) about an hour before you want to sleep, do not go on the computer, because the screen light actually signals your brain to stay awake. 2) Try reading to make yourself sleepy. 3)Try drinking milk before you go to bed, that usually helps me fall asleep.
xomichelle891xo answered Saturday August 12 2006, 4:20 pm: Dont eat/drink anything with sugar or caffeine for 2-3 hours prior to sleeping and dont do anything high activity such as dancing or working out. Usually, relaxing and soft music and candles help me to go to sleep. Also, taking a hot bath before you go to sleep and being in comfortable clothes. XkittyOkatX answered Saturday August 12 2006, 2:51 pm: Make sure there is nothing around to distract you. Sleep with everything around you off, excluding a night light if needed. If you try laying down for about half an hour, try doing something calming, like reading...NOTHING ELECTRONIC!!
