Whenever I am around people in my school or at concerts...I don't really talk. People say I don't talk that much. But I never know what to say! What do I say to people?!?! I am just quiet and I never really noticed it! I want to be more random and everything but I don't want to scare people haha. What do I do???
haha I was the same exact way, and still am sometimes (rarely now). Honestly, it may seem cliche- but just be yourself. People are just people like you. Just ask people how are you, or ask them something about school or what you're doing at the moment. Just start talking to them about anything. And don't worry about what people think, If you're just talking about normal things, I don't think anyone is gonna be scared by you=p.

They actually aren't singing with a girl. I believe it's just Nick's voice that's high-pitched. I thought it was a girl at first too. lol.
Ok I really dont like bugs. I hate them, I wish they didnt exist. When I see a bug I panic and run and scream. I feel so stressed and sad when I see a bug. I feel like Im gunna cry and I feel dirty like I need to take a shower. bugs are like my greatest fear i think. in fact right now im on the computer because there is a bug in my room and im not even sure if its in there any more but im not goin back in. Everyone else is asleep, my dad is out and the living is too dark for me to sleep there and for all i know the bug could be there. Ive been up for two hours now trying to avoid this bug. I havent gone to sleep at all yet. Im so tired that im literally seeing things. I really want to lay down in my comfy bed, but i cant explain how afraid i am to step in there and possibly see that bug again. It took a lot from me to do that the first time, becuase I seen it and didnt kill it and a few minutes later i eventually slowly dimmed the lights till it was off and went to lay down again but sat up the whole time nervous. I seen it again and ran out the room and havnt gone back since. Your probably laughing but I just have this feeling of extreme scaredness or w/e and like I just cant do it because Im going to cry. What should I do now and in the future when it comes to bugs ?
Honestly, I know how you feel- but you really have to face this fear. Just remember- It's just a bug- it should be scared of YOU. And it's not going to harm you. Just march into your bedroom with something to kill it with, and go in slowly, close the door, and search around your room for a few minutes.
If you find it, just slowly go up to it and kill it. I know it's hard, but nothing bad is going to happen- and then you will be able to sleep. If you don't find it after awhile...just go to bed with the door closed because it's prob not in that room.
Just face the fear, and remember there are much worse things out there then a bug.

okay, so i have a family of 5. A sister who can be a snob, and is 21. A brother who can be nice and caring and is 18. And a mom and dad, and well.. me who is 14.
My mom is always paying attention to my sisters problems and not mine. Yeah, my sister has alot of problems but i need some help sometime too.
How do I get my mom to open up to me instead of telling her??
I dont have a good relationship with my mom. Shes not a friend or best friend , shes just my mom. And i've always wanted to be closer. We do have those " cute, daughter and mother" times but i want to be able to talk to my mom about anything.
ALSOO; My mom cant trust me for crap. She wont let me go to the park because she said she doesnt trustt the "world". i understand shes trying to protect me but.. she has to let me out sometime. i cant be cooped up in this house all the time. And i want to go to the park or six flaggs or the mall with my friends too. And i dont want to have to lie to her that im going to there house or something. im sick of it. How can i show my mom that im old enough a to go places. Dont get me wrong, i go to parks and everything, its just my mom doesnt like it. and thats what i need help with!
Also i want a cell phone really bad, i do chores everyday. im the only one in my family who helps my mom with cleaning and everything. oh oh an i do it for FREE. i never ask for money. And since my sister invades my calls i need a cell phone, but my parents wont get me one! how can i persuade them!!??

Wow that's how my mother was when I was younger. Honestly, it takes a lot of time and not giving up to get past this. You're obviously already showing her you are responsible, but now you need to slowly push the boundaries of your parents rules. Talk to your mother and tell her that you want to go to the park and that you'll be with a lot of friends so that you wont be alone. If she agrees then go, but if she doesn't, make her EXPLAIN why not. And try to answer all those reasons. the world is a bad place...but you do need to grow up sometime.
Don't just back down when your parents say no, fight to be able to go- but don't be disrespectful.
Also, I agree about the phone- tell your mother that with one she will be able to always reach you if she gets worried. And promise to not run the bill too high.

okay, well this is a long and confusing story. this guy broke up with his girlfriend and started to like me, i had a boyfriend... so i go over this guys house and we hook up, so i dump my boyfriend, then he tells me he dosnt want a relationship even though he liked me? wtf. so he asks me to hook up with him agian at an upcoming party but i dont instead i hang out with a shy guy the whole time and alot of girls like him. it was nice he put his arm around m [possible] we were wrestleing and i guess he just kept it there, so i sleep over the girls house and she tells me that the guy who wanted me to hook up with asked her too. thanks alot? so im like whatever im done with it. but now this other guy is too confusing and i can't tell if he likes me.
Obviously the guy just wanted to hook up with anyone, that is why you should truly get to know someone before going out with them and dumping your boyfriend over him. With this other guy...get to know him before doing anything with him and make sure that he actually wants a relationship if that's what you want as well.
I REALLY like this guy. [lets call him Frank] I've known him only for about a month or so but we talk alot [on myspace, rarely on the phone] and his friend told my friend that he liked me and my friend told his friend that I liked him too. [sry if that was confusing] So, I was happy and figured that if we both liked eachother that we would go out soon. That was about 2 weeks ago and then 'Frank' was talking to a different one of my friends on myspace and I don't know the whole convo but he told her that he didn't like anyone at the moment. I'm really confused, I really like this guy and I would have already asked him out or something but one of my biggest fears is rejection and i couldn't handle it if he said no. We've only hung out twice [he lives about 30 minutes away from where I do so its kind of hard to hang out] but a week ago I asked him if he wanted to hang out again sometime and he said yeah but not that upcoming weekend but maybe the next [whick would make that this weekend] we haven't really talked about it after that and tomorrows Friday. I'm just wondering, how do I ask him (again) if he wants to hang out without sounding desprate or something like that? Like, how would I word it?

Just call him up and ask him if you're going to hang out or not. If he told you he wanted to, then there is nothing wrong with you asking again- it doesn't seem desperate. And plus it shows you actually WANT to hang out with him. And I suggest calling him, because you should get comfortable talking to him- online can be sometimes misleading. I know that was a big mistake in one of my relationships. In person is always better.
Well I'd have to say my current reputation at school isn't the one i want. I'm dating a guy that everyone likes. People think I'm a bitch but i'm not i'm just sarcastic. I want to be one of them people that is friends with everyone. Pretty and is on school teams. You know that type. How can i turn into someone like that. I shop at hollister so its not like im emo or anything. How can i make more friends and become like that.
Well, it is very hard to truly change your personality and who you are. If people think you're a bitch- it's probably just because they are jealous of you- and that usually just goes away with time.
If you want to be on school teams- join them. And you obviously are already pretty if you're dating a guy that is popular. As for being friends with EVERYONE- that is not always possible, especially if you have a real personality. Not everyone can get along, but you can try and just be nice to everyone but don't change your ideas and who you really are just to be friends with others.
Honestly, just be yourself- it pays off in the end.
I want to be the type of girl that shops for designer stuff like Coach, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Channel, etc. I want to be able to do stuff like that but my parents aren't rich and im definitely not a spoiled brat. How can i do that... like i'm only 15 ill be 16 in feb. what kind of jobs can i get to be able to afford that?
To tell you the truth, that stuff is really not worth the money you pay for it. And soon enough, the trend will die and some new trend will come around. But if you really want to spend your money on it- get a job. At your age, you probably wont find many high paying jobs- but you can make a decent amount to be able to afford some of that. Check around at stores around where you live and try applying there.
Also, ask your parents or friends if they know anyone who is hiring.
Even so, I recommend saving your money for something more useful.
In your opinion what would you think about someone that you write messages to they read them and don't reply. Like this girl from school, she's real popular. At the end of the school year she told me that she wanted to hang out with me sometime because she discovered we had a lot in common. I sent her a message over myspace with my number and she never calls me and when i ask for her number she doesn't reply. Actually she never replies. She knows that I've beat the $#!% out of people that we talking behind my back. So do you think she had no intention of hanging out with me she was just afraid of me? The thing that doesn't make sense is she told me that "we should hang out".
Honestly, most times when people say that, they do have an intention if it- but never get around to doing it. Don't take it too personally, just wait it out- and if she doesn't reply, then just let it go. Sometimes people just have other plans during the summer.
There is a chance she was just being nice to you, but I kind of doubt she would say that and not mean it even a little. Just wait it out, and don't keep messaging her because then it will seem like you're desperate to hang out with her.
Ok well im going to be a sophomore this august and my dad says that if i get straight a's he will buy me a car. If i get a b he wont. But the problem is ive never gotten straight a's im always getting c's. I mean i guess i never really try that hard. but how can i get good grades like that?
Study hard, of course, and make sure you do ALL your homework. If you don't understand something- ASK, because sometimes people are too afraid to ask, but teachers really help clear things up.
Also, if you're struggling, ask your teacher for additional help- or if there are tutors in your school go to them. Spend time studying- and just remember it's worth it not only for the car (which is pretty nice itself) but also when you have to apply to college in two years.

If you've never thought about it before, it probably IS your friends just putting these thoughts in your head. I can really relate to this. But before you do ANYTHING you have to consider how important being friends is to you. I went out with a guy friend that I was REALLY close to and when we broke up...we hardly talked, and the whole time I just wanted to go back to being friends.
I'm not saying it would ruin your friendship, but consider it a lot before you do anything, and make sure what your true feelings are.

I have a sore throat. And the hangy ball thing, haha i dont know what its called, is touching my right tonsil. This happens everytime i get a sore throat, but sometimes its the right tonsil and sometimes its the left. Whats wrong with me?
Hmm have you had this checked out by a doctor? It seems your tonsils must get very swoolen for this to happen. I would suggest consulting a doctor about it, because it doesn't seem right that it should actually be touching your tonsils themselves.

lol that's actually a really good question. Usually you just say "someone's in here." and make sure they hear...cause if they don't...that could be a bad experience=p.

It's understandable to get nervous, epecially when you are quiet to begin with. I was a very quiet person, I still kinda am. It's your personality. but sometimes you have to break that barrier, and it's very hard to overcome nervousness and all, but the only way to do it is to keep trying. It may be hard at first, but over time you'll get used to it. We all have to change as we grow older, and you can't be quiet if you want to get things important to you.
Ok well one of my close friend got into an argument with my little sister. So when there's nothing to tlak about with other peope my friend talks bad stuff about her and calls her a bitch.
And my sister always runs up to me during school at recess time (yeha really annoying) and then when she goes away my friend would like like "bitch..hope she gets run over by a car"

A family bond will probably be longer than a certain friendship. If a friend talks bad about your sister, tell her you don't like when she says that stuff, because well, it's your little sister. Just ask her nicely to stop saying that stuff about your sister, and if she was a real friend- she would stop.
I just finished The Book Thief (about the holocaust/bombing) and it honestly changed my life. I want to do something about genocide and war, but I don't know what to do- I'm only 16.
I looked up Amnesty International, but they honestly do nothing but complain and write letters/petitions. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can do? Organizations that help places such as Darfur? I feel so helpless and I want to DO something...
As a member of Amnesty International, I know that we don't just complain. Petitions are currently the only way of helping those IN Darfur. There is also donations to refugees from Darfur (savedarfur.org). Currently, China, who is part of the security council in the UN, is too worried about keeping it's oil in the Sudan that it is preventing the UN from going into Darfur. WE are petitioning the Chineese government to take action, so by getting people's signature from everywhere, we can hope to achieve this. Also, by getting your legislators to pressure our own governmet into doing something. nothing else can be done for those IN Darfur, as any money you send to those actually in the country will be taken by the government. Also, spread the word- best thing you can do. Can you believe some people don't even know the crisis in Darfur is a genocide? I'm really glad you're informed about it and wanting to do something.=)

Honestly, you can't truly love someone you haven't met. I know what it's like to really like a cleberity,I did when I was younger, and look up stuff about them constantly and feel like you know them- but you don't, because you don't know how they REALLY are. I don't think those kids are right for making fun of you, just don't talk about it as much to those people. I know it may not be what you want to hear, but it's the honest truth.
