You've pRobably heaRd a ton of RumoRs about all the teRRible things uppeR classmen do to "fReshmeat" [fReshmen], and you would *THINK* high school would be like that, but believe it oR not.. high school kids aRe veRy accepting of diffeRences!! And theRe honestly isn't much teasing going on. CeRtainly NOTHING compaRed to the teasing that goes on in Middle School. You see, high school, to be honest, IS HARD!! And it's haRd foR EVERYONE, so EVERYONE KNOWS THIS. And since they DO, they definitely won't waste theiR time tRying to make it HARDER FOR YOU, when they wouldn't want it HARDER ON THEM, you see?? It's honestly not a big deal!! Give it a week oR so, and you'll know the way to youR classes NO pRoblem!! The haRdest paRt would be GETTING TO THEM in time!! Most high schools give you a five minute passing peRiod, sometimes less, sometimes moRe.. it vaRies fRom school to school.. but even then.. five minutes is neveR enough time.. so you gotta Run youR butt!! As foR making fRiends... I know this seems typical, but just be fRiendly. Speak out in class - this is a GREAT way to get noticed. Say hello to fellow classmates if you see them in the hallway. Join some clubs also.. that's a good way to meet people; then Right off the bat you know you have something in common with them. And always smile.. smiles definitely get noticed! And wheneveR you see someone sitting alone at lunch oR in the moRning befoRe school, just walk Right up to them and be like, "Hey! How's it goin'?", oR if you have them in a class just say.. "Hey! ARen't you in my [whateveR class]" I know it seems difficult, but you just have to Roll with the punches. Be bold and talkative. High School is Really NO big deal, tRust me.. you'll do just fine!! And in case you weRe wondeRing about PE: not *ALL* schools make you showeR; it vaRies. PeRsonally, the G.U.Y.S in my school HAD to showeR. If they neglected to showeR 3 times peR ONE semesteR... they failed the class automatically. HoweveR, the G.I.R.L.S *DID NOT* have to showeR. They could showeR if they wanted to, but they DID NOT have to!! I think it's because the giRls have that time of the month when it's veRy embaRRassing to showeR aRound otheRs, and boys don't.. if you get my dRift theRe. If you'Re still feeling afRaid, just ask anyone who goes/went theRe. They should be able to ReassuRe you moRe than I can. UnfoRtunately, the odds aRe against you heRe. FEW places hiRe at 14. The FEW places I could even think of that hiRes at *15* even, would be Subway, Pizza Hut, and Wendy's. Uhm, the only thing I can suggest to you otheR than babysitting, would be looking into being an assistant at youR local animal hospital, or plain hopsital, some small Mom & Pop pizza joint, and even a neaR by nuRsing home. You could also look into weekend Road side clean up, though they may not pay foR that; might be volunteeR woRk. AnotheR option, I suppose.. you could do lawn mowing. You could post up flieRs on the bullentins of youR closest gRoceRy stoRes -- fRee adveRtising!! It COULD be a lot of woRk, but sometimes you can get $15.00-$50.00 peR good size yaRd!!
