im 14 and ok im kind of a prude and believe no sex before marriage and you should wait for someone special before going out with them... especially when you're young... and my best friend is turning into a hoe. she got her first boyfriend, and i was reaally happy for her, but then on their first date they made out, and other people were around. they werent even going out for a week, and they didnt even kiss normally before that. then she wanted me to grind with her at the last dance, and i was like NOOO. i would only grind with a guyyy and if i had been going out with him for a while.

i know this is how like old people think, but i want a guy who cares about me, not just a guy that wants to do stuff with my body. and i dont care if i wait for that. but my friend is alwayss bringing up her bf and its soo annoying. she hasnt been a good friend for the past year either, although she says im her bff... shes been ditching me for her other group of friends a lot, but hangs out with me mostly in schol.

i am really sick of her and im afraid shes going to do something that she regrets... should i keep being friends with her, try to help her, or ignore those problems?

Honestly at 14, I was in the same position... except I was in your friend's position [sort of]. I made out before most of my friends and i did grind.... but I have morals! i know it's a crazy idea to think that someone that does those things does but i grinded and made out but no one got furthur than that with me. guys respected me because i picked out the ones that didn't want just a hookup. so really, don't worry about that. she's being young & not doing anything too bad. if you had said she didn anything above making out in a week, then yeah, i'd be worried too. but just chill...i know you don't want to hear that but there's nothing wrong with kissing/making out. i used to be like you, i did stuff like your friend and i turned out fine.
if she's ditching you, that's a whole different thing. tell her calmly that you wish you could hang out more and be like normal. don't get all in her face about the stuff she's doing, though. if you need anything else, let me know.

15/f. I've never had a boyfriend before. And looking around me, I see people who have boyfriends. And it kind of tears me apart. I want to have a relationship like that with someone. I want to be close with someone. But I don't know how to go about doing that...getting one. I'm sometimes even embarrassed at the fact that there are 13 and 12 year olds who have had boyfriends, and those who've changed them many times. Do I care if he's older? No. I just really want one. Going on 16 and entering the 10th grade, I feel as though I will never get one. Is being smart a turn off? :( I wouldn't consider myself ugly either. But my self-confidence isn't that high. There's nothing wrong with that and it's not a turn off. honestly, relationships when you are 12 & 13... are not real. I don't care what anyone says. there could be a few exceptions but not many. 15 is a good time to start going out with people because you've seen how everything works from your friend's experiences and you won't do as many stupid things. You don't NEED a boyfriend but it is nice to have one. don't rush into anything & learn to love yourself first... the boys will like that.

I feel kind of ridiculous asking this, but it's really bothering me. Today I was wearing a denim skirt and the zipper fly was stuck for some reason. I was wearing a long top with the skirt. Since the zipper fly was stuck and unzipped, it was kinda sticking out, forming a little bump in my shirt in that area. Hopefully I explained that so it made sense. But yeah, anyway... what would you think if you saw someone with that happening to them... I just hope I didn't look like a complete idiot.

im 16/f. im a little bit underweight. my ex bf moved 3 years ago and we were in love. but weve been drifting. he would never ask me to do something i wouldnt want to do. but as im trying to find someone else, i find that guys are using me for sex. im a pastors daughter, and im not willing to drop my dignity at someones feet. if i lose it to anyone at this moment, it will be to my ex of 3 years. but that cant happen.

My graduation is coming up and i bought those fake manicure nails to glue over my real nails. They are kind of long and the problem is im going to an amusement park the next day. Should i keep the nails on? On the roller coasters i would be gripping the handle so would it make a difference? Also, it doesnt say it is waterproof, so when i go in the water park what should i do? Keep it on or take them off?

they're fine to wear on roller coasters & stuff but i've had those before and usually they start getting loose after a couple hours one a shower. you can wear them to graduation and the rest of the night and then the next time you shower, pull them off. (start at the bottom after you've been in the shower a while).

Most places don't hire anyone under 15-16. However, you could be a golf caddy (good money), soccer reff (i got $17/game), or work for a family or small business doing small jobs like making sandwiches or organizing stuff.

hey well i'm 14 now and i still don't have my period. i know it's normal, but my sister got hers about my age and my mom got it when she was like 12. so you know how people say you're supposed to get discharge about like a year before your period? well it's been way over a year, maybe even 2 and nothing's happening still. and also you're supposed to get it a little bit after your boobs start to grow? yeah well that's been about 2 years now. it's so annoying. it's not like i'm looking foward to it or anything, but practically like every girl my age has it already. even my bff who is like 85 pounds and tiny. i would have expected her to get it after me. but no. is there anything wrong with me? i don't want to talk about it with my mom or anything, because well, you don't know my mom. and also a doctor because i'm not open about this kinda stuff. any advice?

I know how you feel... i got mine the summer before 9th grade at 14 1/2. You are fine. i know you're probably freaking out and maybe even anxious & left out but really, it's better if you don't get it at 12. everyone that knows i got it that late is jealous of me. if you don't get it by 16, then you should check with a doctor but for now, enjoyyyy life!

Nope! I know people that are 15 that take it and they're definitly not slutty. It's a form of dance/art. if you were taking pole dancing, it might be a little over the top but belly dancing is ok. shakira took it in her early years :)

I'm friends with at least 6 Athiest people. I don't really want to change them. It's just why doesn't people believe in God? My one friend say me wearing a cross to school one day and told me to take it off. I asked her why. She said some very unkind things about God. Then she said, How can God be real if he doesn't save anybody from death? I couldn't answer that. SI asked around and found out she wasn't always Athiest. She used to believe in God until her grandparents were murdered. defend your beliefs... don't freak out at her but you have a right to wear a cross if you want to. tell her it's not God's fault that bad things happen to good people... God gave people free will & that's how there are murderers and dealers. just tell her taht you respect her beliefs and she should respect yours.
