I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

Hey, tomorrow I'll be going to an interview for a job where I'll be helping sexually abused teenagers over the phone. The thing is, Im not sure they're aware of the fact that I'm only sixteen, but even if they are.. I need advice on how to get this job. (not actually a job, I'll be volounteering, so i won't be getting payed!) What kinda thing would they like to hear? Should I dress in any sort of way to show how strong I am as a woman? What do I do if it gets really quiet and awkward and we're all just sitting there.. ?! Do you think they'll judge me by the fact that I'm so short for my age? Thank you for anything you can tell me, I'm so nervous I'm starting to regret that I ever applied for this!

Oh and do you think they'll ask if I've ever been through sexual abuse?

Wear what you would to any interview -- nice dress pants, a nice shirt & nice shoes. Don't be too dressy though. Do your hair nice, and make your makeup look natural.

I doubt the interview will get quiet. They ask you a lot of questions which you'll answer, so I'm pretty sure there will be no awkward silences. They want to hear strong/honest answers. Keep them short but sweet, and only make them long if you have to. They won't judge you because you're short, but they will judge you on your appearance [what you're wearing, your makeup, how your hair is done], and what you say. The possibility of them asking if you've ever been through sexual abuse is a 50/50 chance. They may ask, they may not. It all depends.

Don't regret this. It's great you want to help sexually abused teengers! Honestly, I'd love to have a job like that, for right now my job is my advice column. Good luck at your interview. Let me know how it goes!

Okay, so. I work at Six Flags & this new guy named Alex just recently started working there too. So, we started talking, exchanged numbers & what have you. I never exactly told him that I liked him, because I knew he had a girlfriend.

Basically, him & his girlfriend were on a break, because she had chosen to be on it. Like, a month before he even met me and then we went to the movies last night & two nights ago. She was sooo furious. She got SO mad like, and Alex's younger sister sent me a message on Myspace, and she's like freaking out because she loves his ex girlfriend.

I don't know what to do. Because, Alex's ex girlfriend works at Six Flags too, and even though I won't see her all the time, I just don't want her starting crap with me.

Is this like, normal that his younger sister like totally hates me? Because, I don't want her to hate me already. Haha, it sucks. & also, is it wrong that I'm like dating Alex too? Has anyone else been through this?

I honestly don't think it's wrong. His girlfriend decided to go on the break & basically dump him, so why should she be pissed that he's out having fun dating again? If she's pissed about it, she's a hypocrite & she's two-faced.

Anyways, it is/isn't normal for his younger sister to hate you. In a way it is because she feels like you've stolen her brother away from his ex & in a way it isn't because she hasn't even met you yet to decide & make a judgement.

Basically, get to know him & his family some more & if you like him -- keep dating him. He could be a great boyfriend. Maybe if it's at all possible -- explain to his sister the situation & see if she ends up changing her mind about you. Younger kids can be easy to influence/trick unless they're clever for their age.

And if this girl starts trouble with you, walk away. She has no reason to be pissed, remember that.

Lately I've been having weird dreams, not bad weird, good weird.

And they haven't been about the same thing over and over they've been totally different things so it's not something on my mind.

I was just wondering, what might be causing them? Because whatever it is I want to keep doing it. These dreams ROCK!

Dreams almost always show you things you didn't notice during the day. When you're awake, your subconscious sort of records things that you don't really pay attention to during the day, and then it replays it to you at night when you dream. It can make it a good dream, and it can make it a bad dream. Sometimes you remember the dream, and sometimes you don't.

Other times, when you think about something before you go to bed, you end up dreaming about it. So, it's basically all in your subconscious mind & it'll probably continue to happen. Other people have these dreams too, so you're not alone. =)

And in case you're wondering how I know this, haha, I've learned this all in pyschology & from books I've read.

Go to the pet store & ask if they have any tips or pamphlets on how to train your new puppy. Since they work there, they could be pretty helpful. You could also try googling information about it & learning more.

But my guess about why your puppy is crying & following you is because she loves you, and wants to play with you but you're ignoring her so she's going to cry/follow you until you give her the attention she deserves.

I was raised Catholic.

Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, Baptists, Prespiterians & whatnot are all branced off from Christiantity. It's Christianity with some beliefs that are different.

Being "Christian" is believing in god, following his way, praying, going to church, being saved, not commiting sins, doing confession, getting baptized, accomplishing your communion & confirmation, getting saved, & staying a virgin until marriage.

Click searh for all of those, and it'll bring up sites with information about what you need to know about each. But you don't necessarily have to conform to Christianity. There are a ton of other religions that might interest you.

This will sound horrible but here goes the story. I was and am not really close to my dad's side of the family. I'm in total love with my mom's side but I basically loath my dad's side of the family--not my dad, though. It's mainly b/c his family hates us b/c of my mom--long story short: they hate us and they're total bitches to us. Anyways, well, my grandpa on my dad's side died today.

With the exception of our family, the rest of our whole entire fmaily lives in S. Korea [We live in US] So my dad is going to fly out there tomorrow or on Monday so he can attend the ceremony thingers. Well, the problem is that I feel really bad b/c I don't feel anything about my grandpa's death. I mean I was never close to him, I talked to him a couple of times--most of which being getting him a glass of water or something. Anyways, I guess what my question is:

What am I suppose to do? I don't feel a thing about my grandpa's death and I don't know how to comfort my dad. I'm just a useless person sitting there not really caring about the fact that my granpa died 3 hrs ago. Or am I in denial. GAH I don't know what I'm in. Help?

You're not supposed to do anything. Although you didn't know your grandfather & didn't care for him, it's alright to mourn. Don't cry your eyes out though because in a way, it'd make no sense.

Just tell your father that you're there for him & that you love him. But don't beat yourself up for not feeling anything. Death is a normal thing & very good part of life in some cases. Numbness is something I usually feel when people die as well.

The last day of school is on Tuesday, and the boy I like is moving away during the summer a few states away. It's not very far, but it still means that he won't be at my school next year.

I know that this boy likes me because he's sincerely told me he has, but I don't know how to tell him that I like him, too. And I think it's kind of weird to just say, "Hey, I like you!"

When you talk to him [on either Monday or Tuesday], just say "You know how you told me that you liked me?" and then when he says "Yeah." tell him that you like him too.

When you finally tell him, exchange phone numbers, email addresses, house addresses, and IM names. That way, you can keep in touch by any means possible. Who knows, he might come to visit when/if he can. =)

Tell your friend not to talk, and to just listen to what you have to say. Tell her everything you feel & ask her everything you need to know.

If she's still being a bitch, then give up. You'll get nothing out of her. It could blow over, and if it does -- great, she pulled her head outta her ass. If it doesn't, then learn to accept the fact that your friend isn't a very good one & that you're better off without her "friendship."

No, you're not. My brother chews with his mouth open too and I always look at him and ask "DO YOU NEED TO CHEW THAT WAY!?" And his answer is always obnoxious, and the same -- "Yeah."

If it's annoying you, take your food somewhere else like the living room or your room & eat there. That's just how certain people eat, and they can't help doing it.

How bad is it to cheat? I mean we always hear about it being the lowest of low, but I have friends who've had sex with other people and their boyfriends forgave them. Is it really all that big of a deal? My boyfriend is in Europe with some attractive girls that are always crushing on him, I've pretty much accepted the fact that he might cheat because I know how flirty he can get without realizing it. How bad would it be if I cheated, just kissing or so? I would like to know, so I'll be prepared to react in the right manner if anything happens by either of us.

It all depends on who you ask. Everyone has a different view on certain topics so you'll never get the same answer.

Personally, however, I find cheating awful. I used to be an idiot, and I had a great relationship with a boy I loved. I cheated on him losing my relationship & everything in my world. Not only did I hurt the person I loved, but I fucked myself up & it was a really hard thing to deal with. Now that I've learned from that & have grown up a bit, I view it as a horrible thing.

If you really love someone, you'll stay faithful because you know that they would do that for you as well. Although some people will not stay faithful, it's best you do it to them. Two wrongs don't make a right, so don't cheat. It sucks to do it because then you lose someone you love & you'll never get them back. Most people don't give second chances too, and if they do, then they're either too forgiving, or they love having their heart broken. Honestly, stay faithful. You'll be proud of yourself in the long run.

And if your boyfriend does happen to cheat on you while in Europe, dump his ass. Flirty or not, I don't give a damn. There's no reason to cheat on someone you claim you love.

After I go swimming my hair is just a mess. Its past my shoulders and naturally wavy. After I go swimming, my friends and I usually meet up with people and go out so I'm always going out and my hair looks terrible. I have side bangs, so they curl up and look funny as well, so just putting my hair up in a ponytail never works.

Get some hair clips. Brush your hair back & leave your bangs out. Clip your bangs back with the clip & go. It's easy. =)

Yeah. You're 15 years old. When you're a teenager, you question everything, and that includes your sexuality. You could be bi-curious, or maybe you're questioning, but this is completely normal. So don't worry.

My boyfriend & I have been dating for 4 months now & he's going off to college while I'm stuck here in high school. Would things change between him & I? Should I dump him because of the distance we'll be having? (He isn't moving to a different state/country, just not the same school) My parents are hardcore strict! & they never let me out and there's no way of convincing them to let me go out w/ people or my boyfriend (I'm not asking for advice to talk to my parents, they can't understand English anyway lol). It's possible that things will change. He's in college now, and he's going to be busy. Not only that, but there will be new faces, new challenges & new decisions.

Don't dump him just yet. See how things go for the first month of his college year. If things aren't going well for either of you, a break would be good. See if things will work out in the future. If neither of you think they will, then it's best you break up & move on.

Honestly though, do what makes you happy & what you think is right. Just consider the things I've said & the make your deicisons or thoughts from there. Good luck.

I'm saying this for your best interest:

Don't break up with him just yet. If you do, you might start to like him & then regret your decision & you may not always be able to get him back. Keep going out & see if feelings form. If they don't, then break up & remain friends.

Whether you break up now or later, it's still going to hurt his feelings, & it's still going to be hard to do. It always is, but that's life.

I agree with you. You guys are 14 & it's way too young to be drinking. Not only is drinking illegal, but it's a depressant type of drug which is addictive. And people change when they're drunk. Not only do they spill the truth, they may do some things that are opposite of who they are when they're sober.

Anyways, talk to your boyfriend about this problem & how you feel. If he likes you, he'll take your opinion into mind & try to see if he can change a bit. If he doesn't respect what you've gotta say, then break up with him & date someone who cares about your opinions & what you have to say.
