ok look there is this girl that i like and she is well one of my best friends i dunno it is just when i am around her i feel so loved and i mean she is really really beautiful and stuff. but tonight i was at her house for a party no occasion just a party and she looked so hot and she cuddled with me well she was cold and stuff.

but the question is how can i show her that i can be a good boyfriend and that i like her more then a friend.

Usually, girls can tell when guys like them...but not always. So flirt with her a lot and be really nice and be really nice to her mom and show her how nice you are to your mom (*thats like a sign...if hes nice to his mom he's a good b/f) And just be really sweet but not like...clingy. Like if shes sick bring her cookies and call her like 2 times a week just to talk and then just tell her you like her. But don't get a friend to do it or do it on IM bc thats not good (* Remember: In the end everything is OK, and if its not OK, its not the end)

Hey! I love your advice column!!! anyways i'm makin a cd with a bunch of songs on it what do you think are some good songs? i like all kinds of music

My two favorite songs are Undiscovered by Ashlee Simpson and True by Ryan Cabrera. They're like, genius songs. Also Angels and With You and Underneath by Jessica Simpson are reallly good. Plus like every song on Ashlee Simpsons CD "AutoBiography" is great.. Seriously there isn't a bad song on there. Breakaway by Kelly Clarckson and Fly by Hilary Duff are good. I blow dry and straighten my hair every day and it's really beginning to show! I was thinking of getting a leave-in conditioner or deep conditioner today but I don't know what kind to get! Or does any one know nething else that works to get ur hair looking super-good? Thanks so much! I RATE!

@ Wal-Mart and Ulta and places like that they have these things called "Hair Masques" and they work really good. They come in little packets. Go to a store like that and ask about leave in treatments. I don't know if you have an Ulta around your area but you probably have a place like it that sells tons of make-up, skin stuff, and hair stuff. It's awsome. The people there know what they're talking about and they're great people to get information about your hair. Also to get your hair shiny again melt a little bit of coconut oil in the microwave. Wet your hair w.water and then comb the melted coconut oil in. I did this once and it worked really good but it makes your hairy really greasy for a couple days even if you wash it really good, so try to do it on a weekend or sometime when you have no where to go. You can also buy hair glosser @ wal-mart or anywhere..it makes your hair look shiny, I use it on my eye brows, but its made for hair. Even tho people tell you Pantene Pro-V is bad for your hair, I use it and my hair dresser always tells me how my hairs in good condition. I use the Full And Thick kind because i have thin hair, but it really moisturizes good. I used to use a hair system my mom got me out of a vitamin catalog...it worked really good because it had tons of vitamins in it, but it didn't smell very good, so look in some vitamin catalogs or online becuase they have good stuff

Okay me and my best friend whitney love to sing we sing all the time but we've never sang in public or anything. we wrote a song one night and we made a tune to it and we sing it all the time now we sang it to our moms and they loved it my mom started crying and we really think that its a good song. We're really scared of what people might think of us we, sing really good and stuff but maybe other people won't think so we really want to become singers. we don't know what to do though like where to go to or anything.

Try going to a place that gives voice lessons and ask them what they think & they can help you become even better =) Look in the newspaper for conests and stuff and find out if your school does a talent show or anything. You can call up talent agents you find in the phone book or make a tape and send it to a record label or smthn. Also even tho it might not be the kind of singing you want to do, you can go to a musical dinner theatre & you can get you noticed by doing that and I said this in an answer to someone else but you can try writing a letter or e-mailing Oprah or Montel and try to get them to do a show on singers trying to be recognized by people in the music bizz. You can also try to get jobs @ local carnivals and parties and maybe find some other people and make a band. Even tho you live in West Virginia you can still get noticed. Good Luck!

So I am going out with this guy and my family doesn't know about it because they dont like him. I've mentioned this in my other questions. Well it seems like we are in an ongoing competition to make the other one jealous and its getting on my nerves! im not trying to make him jealous but he really doesnt like one of my close guy friends! He says I talk about him all the time and i know for a fact that i don't! and even if i did hes just my friend! So he deals with this buy talking about these different girls he's been with! Well i guess i just don't know what to do about it! Can you help me out?

Tell him if you talk about the other guys, its just because they're your friends. Doesn't he ever talk about his friends? And if I was you I'd be extremely mad about him telling me about all the girls hes been with. Tell him you don't think that has anything to do w.y'alls relationship and it's making you really mad. If he says its payback or whatever for you talking about your guy friends, I'd stay away from him. He sounds like an idiot and your family probably doesn't like him for a reason. But talk it over with him first, maybe hes going through smthn rough w.other friends or his family and hes just really angry and hes taking it out on you. Find out whats going on and hopefully you can work it out. And maybe try mentioning your GIRL friends a little more so he doesn't get jealous

I think you should tell him. If you guys are like hanging out somewhere..just tell him. Be like "We are really good friends so I don't want to mess anything up, but I think I should tell you that...I like you, not just as a friend, but as more then that. I hope this doesn't change anything between us and it's cool with me if you don't feel the same way, but I didn't want to have to hide it." It might turn out bad, like he gets freaked out or smthn, but if you two are really good friends, he might be a little confused about how you liked him without him knowing and stuff but I really don't think he would start to ignore you. If you don't want it to be akward, don't let it be. If you walk past him in the hallway or smthn @ school and he doesn't say Hi to you, say Hi to him. If you have trouble starting conversations after you tell him, just pretend hes a guy you don't like or another one of your guy friends. And once he knows you like him, you can kinda joke about it. Like if he gets a haircut you can just say (*jokingly, so he doesn't think you're obsessed or smthn) "Your hair looks so hott right now" or smthn like that..just remember hes your friend and he won't hate you just because you like him. I am not racest at all..but I have a problem..Okay well I have a really good friend..hes black..im white..I have liked him for about a month now..I really like him..hes all I think about! I found out a week ago that he liked me and wanted to go out with me..he even wrote the sweetest peom ever about me..I cant go out with him because my mom would flip if i went out with a black person..she just doesnt believe in black and white..and neither do some of my friends..It just wouldnt work..I really like this kid and I need to get over him! what should I do?! please help...

I know exactly what you mean. I'm kinda outta that stage..but for like the past year, I thought black guys were like really really sexy. I went out w.a couple, but I kinda figured out that just because I thought they were sexy, didn't mean I liked them. People found out that I liked black guys and now everyone knos and it pisses me off because its not really true anymore and everyone is always like "You're the girl that likes black guys" and I'm like "Whatever leave me alone". But my friends always thought it was wrong. But you like him for him sooo..talk to your mom. She'll be the hardest one to convice black and white people going out is ok. No matter how heated the conversation gets..don't yell or make her too mad @ you, that'll just make things worse. What I would do is kinda play a little trick on your mom. Instead of TELLING her about liking this black guy..ask her for advice! Be like.."Mom...I need your advice on something..theres this guy named blah blah blah...and I really like him a lot..but hes black. I know you don't really want me to go out with black people and I don't think my friends do either. What should I do?" Instead of being mad @ you..she'll try to help you!! and if it doesn't work (*which I think it will..but it depends on your mom) to get over him..try to find someone else. Its hard but I think the best way to get over a guy is to see what other guys are out there and find one with qualities you like that this one didn't have.

Tell them your underwear is not their buisness and if they make a big deal about it just calmly tell them why you wear thongs. If they don't get it then they're just immature (*or the girl might be jealous if shes not allowed to wear them) Its not like they're uncomfortable (*at least i don't think so) So tell them how you feel and if they keep bugging you, tell them again and ignore them till it stops. And why do they care if you wear thongs? It's not like anything shows...

I really need to find out whats wrong with me. Im almost 17 and ive never had a bf or my first kiss. Not to sound conceited, but TONS of people talk about how "gorgeous" and "nice" I am. Some people WONT even beleive me when i tell them ive never had a bf. I always see these nasty, uglier, RUDE girls get ALL these guys. But ive never even had one. I guess maybe its cuz im shy around people i dont know, but if you talk to me im NOT. Ive became more outgoing and flirted with guys.. but i cant seem to find anyone im actually interested in. I just wanna know what it feels like to have a bf. (I dont just want one to have one.) I feel almost like im missing out on my teen years. Sometimes i even get depressed thinking im doing something wrong. Any advice?

DON'T WORRY! because there are tons of girls out there your age who have never had a boyfriend or been kissed and its normal. Some guys might be afraid you'd reject them, or they think you're too good for them. Maybe they don't think you're flirting with them. Or maybe they think you have a boyfriend!! Find a guy you like and really flirt with him a lot..look him in the eyes, say his name while you're talking to him, copy his body language (*I read like if he touches his hair, you touch yours and if he crosses his arms, you cross yours and it subconsiously tells him you're flirting with him, but don't copy everything or you'll look like a monkey!) Make plans for you and a bunch of your friends (*including the guy you like) to go bowling or something. See how it works out and then plan some one on one dates. I seriously think guys go out with trashy girls just because they know 'better' girls are harder to get, just wait for the right guy..when he tries to get you, you'll know hes not just a low-self-esteem piece of scum and he has confidence and goes for what he wants. If you haven't had a boyfriend yet, all the guys were probably all wrong for you!

Its not wrong unless you only hang out with him to make your crush mad. I know tons of gay guys and they're a blast to hang out with..I've never shopped with them but we have checked out guys together..its fun!

Hey, I have this friend and well shes obsessed with Ireland. And she also looks Irish, which adds to the obsession. Well she met this guy on an irish-penpal thing and they email and write to eachother. I read one of his letters and he calls her like "Princes Jenny" and all that good stuff. Well, shes going to Ireland and its not just because of the guy. Shes always wanted to go but shes gonna meet him there. Shes 16, hes 21..and I'm kinda worried..I joke around saying "If you get raped, I'll kill you" But I really dont think meeting this guy is a good idea. Should I tell her something or is it not my buisness? Thanks~

DEFINATELY say something to her! Meeting people like that is bad...and she should really think about it. Perosnally, I would really NEVER let myself or one of my friends meet up with someone I met online, even in a public place its dangerous if they have a gun or something. As her friend it is your buisness and my aunt was all into that meeting people online and online dating and stuff (*she married one of them)..and once u meet someone once...you want to meet someone else, and then someone else. The fear of them killing you or raping you goes away with every time you meet someone safe. Remind her of the long-term effect. I know this sounds dumb but its the truth!! also, if she wants to meet irish guys (*even just as friends)...shes going to Ireland, soooo there are plenty there to meet...she doesn't need to risk it!! Talk to her and don't stop warning her untill she takes you seriously

my bday is comin up i wanna have my bf over for halloween but my house isnt the place. i have 2 bros and my parents r the type of ppl where..idk im just confused i guess i cud have his friend have him over and we could meet up but idk. my moms met him before but i hate haven ppl over.

I would try to meet up @ a friends house, but not w.just you, him, and his friend because it will be ackward for his friend. Maybe talk to his friend about having a couple other people you guys know over for a little party but not a real party just like hanging out. Tell him your situation and he'd probably be more willing to do it for you =) or maybe you and your guy could hang out @ the mall (*seriously its a really good place to hang out) but not go to a moive because you can't really talk, unless thats not what you want to do...

I don't know about getting in trouble (*but you can for sex), but people might think you can't get a boyfriend/girlfriend you're own age or they might thnk you're using the younger person and you are in two different points in you're lives (*assuming you are almost in college and he/she is just starting high school)...just smthn to think about

I think you still have feeling for him. Do you know for sure he was cheating on you? If you're really upset call him and ask him if he was cheating on you. If he won't come striaght out and tell you...just tell him its a yes or no answer and you need to know. Tell him why you thought he was cheating on you and tell him you're upset. and in the future...if you are positive a guys cheating on you like its a SURE THING..ask yourself if its better to dump him...or cheat on him back..sometimes if you're really mad its funner to cheat back but only is you're positive!!

Okay well i told one of my ex bf that i loved him like in the end of the converstion and hung up before he said anything now today when we were chattig i told him that my brothers were making fun of him and he got all tough boy like and he never acts that way ad what not.he began cussing and he know that i hate when he cusses.so i told him ill stop talking to him and then he was like okay bye.so now we arn't talking and it sucks. i miss him and he seems like he doesnt even care about me should i just let it go i dunno!help

He sounds really confused. Try to call him, and if he doesn't answer his phone leave him a message saying like "I'm sorry, I really miss you and I just feel like you don't care about me. We really need to talk, please call me back" but you might not want to leave a message like that on his home answering machine because other people might hear it, so try his cell phone and if worst comes to worst IM him or write him a note. Personally, I don't write notes or IM people about important stuff because I think its better to tell them in person or actually talk to them, but if its the only way you can get ahold of him, then go for it. Ask him if he wasn't talking to you because he is mad @ you or doesn't care about you and be honest with him. Tell him you miss him and you told him you loved him because you meant it. Theres nothing wrong with a girl liking or loving a guy its normal and a girl might have never told him she loved him before and now he looks at you differently, not just as a girlfriend but like..as a lover. It probably just made things ackward for him because he didn't know how to react and got tough because thats the first thing he thought of. Don't forget guys get upset when they're made fun of..so I wouldn't bring that up for awhile. But I would talk to him and ask him if everything is alright or if theres a reason why he got tough acting and started cussing and that it really made you upset and you miss him. Let me know how it wokrs out and if you need more advice!

Alrite i know acting doesnt go along with music but you see, ive always wanted to be a singer...always been my dream acting is also another dream of mine...does anybody know how to get recognized by people within the music biz?? If it means anything I live in Tennessee and also near nashville but i dont want to sing country just not me! any suggestions?? :0\

Look up managers/agents in the phone book. A good way to find them out is to go to a place that gives voice lessons and ask if they know of any talent agencies or agents and then get in contact with them. Or you can make a tape of yourself and send it to a record label. You could also do something like e-mail Montel or Oprah and suggest they do a show on singers trying to get noticed by people in the music buisness..and of course they should include you! or get in contact with some MTV people and maybe get on a show like Made and then try to get a record deal or something. The more creative ideas you get then the more chance you have of being recognized. I know Shia Labeuf or however you spell it actually lied to an agent about comericals and jobs he had done so the agent would be interested in him! Good Luck!!

I don't think it means you're a lesbian. @ different areas of the world everyone kind of has a different sign, but right ear piercing only means being gay on a guy where I live. And I think pierced cartlidge looks really cute, I'm jealous!! My mom won't let me get it done =( So don't worry about it and if someone says something to you abotu being a lesbian just tell them you're not and a piercing has nothing to do w.sexual preferences...(*you're friend might be jealous of you..or just confused)

There's this guy in my last period class of the day tha i use to like. He's very good looking but i don't like him like him because i dont wanna lyk sum1 for there looks cuz thats wrong. I wanna start to get to him but im to afraid to talk to him. I had an incounter with him but nothing speical he juss let me go first while walking down a asile and i was very cool about it which suprised me. Im a very shy person when it comes to good looking guys cuz im afraid i'll come off as ugly or annoying so i usually feel lyk im being annoying. I dont think i can approach him but there's prolly no other way to get to know him...If you have an idea of how i should then what should i do?

Try something like dropping your paper or pencil right near him...and if he is worth liking he'd pick it up for you (*if not hes not very polite)..and then be like "Thanks for getting that for me!" And then maybe a little later in the class period or whenever say something like "Can you help me with this question" or "This class is fun" or anything that could have him pay attention to you and talk to you. If you don't sit near enuff to him try to really talk try to get to the class early and ask him if there was homework last night or maybe about something that happened that day in school (*like a fight or if your school won the football game...) and since it's last period try to walk with him while leaving the class and say something like "These halls are so crowded" or "I'm glad it's time to go home!" If you're afraid you'll come off as ugly or annoying just think about what you say before you say it..and imagine what you'd think if someone said it to you..try to avoid being negative or saying something like "That girl has really ugly hair" or something mean. Be yourself and if he doesn't like you then...ask yourself if hes worth changing for..because hes probably not

Hey uhh how do I start?? K well my family always go out places and I always stay home and its because I love being at home by myself, or I just want to stay online or I'm lazy. Sometimes I do go out but rarely. I dont know..I thought this was just a stage..but Its been going on for like 2 years! So whats up?

OmGoSh! I know what you mean...I like staying home by myself too. Its not like I don't want to hang out with my family..but being home alone is just...fun! I def. think its normal..but I would try to hang out w.my family @ least sometimes. I don't know if they're just not any fun or just embarrasing or something but they're your family and you should try to make a point to spend time with them. If you really hate it, invite a friend along w.you and your family if you guys are going shopping or to the movies or whatever. It might be a stage...just a long one..but its normal and I wouldn't worry about it
