I think you need parents permission to get a tattoo if you are under 18. Search google for "tattoos" or "tattoo galleries" to get ideas. Or look at http://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/bme-tatt.html, which also has a lot of tattoo galleries, as well as personal stories about getting tattooed.
Whether or not a tattoo hurts is a relative question. It feels different to different people. My tattoo felt like an annoying burning feeling that hurt just a little bit. It made me light headed and sick to my stomach. My husband has four tattoos, and he smiles and talks while he gets them, and feels very little pain at all. My best friend cried through her tattoo. So, like I said, it depends on the person.
Getting a tattoo feels nothing like getting a piercing, because piercings are over with so quickly, and the needle is only in one place. A tattoo generally takes between half an hour and three hours. But it can be shorter or longer depedning on your design.

I've been with my boyfriend [we are both 18] for almost three years. Ever since he started college, he began experimenting with pills. I honestly don't like people who mess around with drugs, and I've told him that I don't want him poppin pills. He told me he likes the feeling, and that he isn't going to stop until he wants to, whether or not I like it, and if it bothers me that much, that he wont tell me when he does it.
I'm not saying that I want to leave him or anything, but I don't like the fact that he hasn't put my feelings into consideration. He gets mad at me when I get mad at him, and I can't stand that. I'm not the one doing anything wrong, unless caring about him and his health is wrong.
I really don't know how to go about this situation, because it does make me very upset. When he goes to parties, I tend to wonder if he's doing drugs [pills] and I get mad. It's not like I can ask him either, because really, it doesn't make a difference, and I know that, and because he even said it himself, he's not going to tell me when he does it.
Now I feel that there is lack in communication and trust. between him and I. Am I being overprotective? He had said to me before, "watch when you go to college, you'll see how the world is really like, and you're going to experiment in a lot of different things." [I will be attending college this fall] But I know that I wouldn't do drugs because I live in a big city, where drugs are put out in the open, and I haven't tried anything besides weed. Besides, I absolutely HATE people who pop pills.
With that also being said, I'm beginning to feel a type of way because he is one of those people. I don't hate him though and I don't want to end a three year relationship with him just because he is taking pills. I just don't know what to do or say to him anymore.

When I met my husband, he was on so many different drugs. I told him we could be friends while he was on drugs, but we wouldn't date. He loves me so much, that in order to have a chance with me he quit pot, coke, ecstacy, elephant trumpets, shrooms, and pain killers. He cut back from dirnking every day to a few times a month, and he never drinks enough to get drunk.
I think that if you are really important to this guy, he will do the same for you.

15/f- I want to go on the birth control pills called Seasonale because they give you a longer cycle so that you have fewer periods a year, who wouldn't want that, right? well...my mom won't let me get them because she says i'm too young...and then she started giving me excuses such as "the doctor doesn't perscribe birth control unless you're sexually active" well...if i were sexually active, wouldn't i have wanted the pills BEFOREHAND anyway??? and i was under the impression that sometimes birth control is percribed to those with irregular periods to help regulate them. so, was my mom correct? and if she wasn't, how can i convince her to let me get seasonale? thanks!
Your birth control is your choice. Youre doctor will prescribe it if you want it. Your mom is probably afraid that if you get on birth control you will be sexually active, and as long as she keeps you off of it, you won't be.
If it's really important to you, you can get seasonale yourself through planned partenhood, without parental consent. But be sure it's what you really want before going behind your mom's back.

Every time you run out of shampoo and conditioner, switch brands. Also, you might try a hot oil treatment. That's what works good for me. Next time you go to the salon, ask your stylist for some recomendations.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I've been trying to think of something that would work, but I haven't come up with anything great. I think building on your idea of allowing hand-gagging in semi-public places is a great idea. If she really likes doing it in front of people, perhaps you might find a sympathetic friend to go out with, or have over sometimes.
I've been trying to think of a "replacement" thing that she could do in very public settings. I'm sure that it would be something that keeps her hands on you, but I haven't thought of anything definate.
I do feel that she should continue this behavior, since you both seem to enjoy it. I think you're right that cutting it out entirely is not a solution.
I have some thoughts for a temporary solution. I could be wrong, but it seems to be a dominance fetish. Perhaps allowing her something subtle in public, like "leading" by a loose bracelet around your wrist. Maybe when she really feels the urge, you could sneak off to a slightly more secluded place.
If she's open about it, the two of you might be able to brainstorm what ideas might work best for you.

I don't know what to tell you to do for now, but next time just pluck them. If your piercing itches or turns red and puffy, then there's something to make it better. Combine 1 cup of very warm water and 1 tsp of sea salt. Use a cotton ball to soak your piercing, and that should clear up any problems.

The best thing is time. Try rubbing them with a vitamin E lotion with aloe. Drink lots of water, which will also help to prevent them in the future.

We're doing a lab in school next week which involves the murdering of goldfish so that we can look at its circulatory system. Who cares? It's just a goldfish, right? Wrong. Goldfish are animals too. People, like myself, have had golfish as pets. Mine lived up to be 7 years old, which is a very long time for a goldfish, but it created a bond between us. My teacher even made a joke about it, that her turtle likes this lab the best because he gets to eat all the dead goldfish. Which I guess is good in retrospect because they aren't just throwing them away once they've dug out all of their organs. It's the principle of the thing though, I know the boys in my class with be nothing but immature about this and torture the goldfish before killing them. I can't watch any kind of death, the only time I killed a fly I cried for an hour. And she has them swimming in glass bowls in our room now, so we get to watch them every day, only to murder them later on. When we did frog dissection, an alternate computer program was offered to observe their organ systems, so why are we buying so many fish each year that could have ended up as pets for other people and lived 7 years? If we killed just one fish and made a video on it,though it's still cruel to that one fish, the hundereds of fish we kill each year would be limited to one fish, once. Or even if our teacher was going for a hands-on experience, she could just kill one at the front of the class and have all of the students take a look. It's just wrong to me that we are going to be graded on the procedure of taking a beating heart and making it stop.
So, what can I do to stop this? How do I try and get my teachers and classmates to understand? Or am I overreacting?
There's not much that you can do to stop the whole class. But, you might be able to get yourself out of it. Be prepared to compromise. Insist to your teacher that you really can't do it. She if she has any alternate suggestions first. If not, suggest writing a paper, watching over a classmates shoulder and taking detailed notes, and so on.
Maybe you'll save at least one fish.
