Heyy! ok so i really want a new cell phone!! the one i have now is SO boring/ugly/retarted/etc! it works great i have awesome service, but I never use it, my brother broke his phone so he eneded up gettin a new one that he uses ALL THE TIME!! if i had a better phone i would use it for ALL of my calls... my parents say if i get staright As i can get any cell phone i want... yeah, GOOD LUCK TO ME!!! i always get at least one b and then all a's!!! ive only gotten straight a's TWICE!!! i dont wanna be a brat and break it on purpose because i appreciate that i have a cell phone at all, buu seriously i NEED a new one... any tips on how to convince my parents without gettin straight a's????

whatever you do, do not break it! lol you could offer to pay for half of it or show that you are really making a sincere effort to do well in school. it works like a charm in my family and theyre not easy! good luck!

Just recently, a man apparently came to my school. I don't really know who he is but they've been calling him Prophet Murphy. He's this guy that predicted the 9/11 fiasco and now he's like, come to my school and talked to the principal. I go to a high school in Vermont and he told the principal that there was going to be a shooting at the school this friday, the 13th of May. I'm a little bit confused because I don't know if the guy even came. It could all be just a rumor that some idot circulated. One of my best friends ex-boyfriend had told her that he planned on shooting up the school. I told her to tell the principal but I don't think she's going to. My other friend told her mom about the rumor and now she's not going to come to school because her mom's not letting her. Kristin's dad doesn't believe her and neither does mine. I just don't really know what to do. Should I take this seriously and cut school or something or is it nothing?

it could just be a rumor but if someone made a threat i wouldnt go to school. i would take this seriously. i meant the prophet dude is prolly a bunch of bull but id still be scared to go to school and no one should be going if their safety is being comprimised like that. i would either have my parents keep me home (if possible), cut school, or hide all day long. please be safe, whatever you choose to do.

How bad is it that I hate my husband's parents and they hate me? Will this ruin my marriage?

A lot of people have trouble with their in-laws. just dont make your views to prominent in the marriage and it will be ok. dont try to use your husband against them, it will only make matters worse. good luck and take care.

My friend lost his mom about 8 years ago, and his Dad promised him he wouldnt get married again. well now his dad is getting married. he's really pissed and hurt about it, but he cant really say why. she is a nice girl and eveything and my friend doesnt like her just because he is takeing the space of his mom. i dont know what to say to him...and the way he talks about her pisses me off. please help! what should i say to him?

well tell him that he does have a right to be mad and that he doesnt have to like her right away. as with all relationships, it takes a lot of time to warm up to them. his dad deserves to have happiness in his life and im sure its hard to raise a kid without a spouse. let him vent if he needs to, a lot of people have problems adjusting to new parents.there might be something he isnt telling you, dont force it out of him...just listen when he is sad about it. hope this helps and thanx for askin!

I wasnt really sure what to put this under, sorry. I need people to give me alot of ideas for fundraisers because my church is trying to raise money for our teen group to go to church camp. We need to make alot of money in a short amount of time. thank you very much.

i know what its like...my church is well in debt! have a sing-a-long or some kind of concert in the church and then have a little reception after and collect donations there. this helped us get out piano. you could try selling the rubber bracelet things with some kind of religious message. car wash in the parking lot woulf make soe money, not much tho. have a festival for the little kids and their families...have games and food and charge them like $5 dollars for unlimited games and facepainting..stuff like that. my friend made a ton of $ that way for charity. hope this helps and good luck!

I'm 17 and I;m not allowed to go to dances. I feel really left out sometimes when my friends talk about it on and on for age. My mom and dad think I'm too young and they think bad stuff happens at dances. Another problem is, I don't know how to dance! Please help! I rate!!

tell them about all the chaperones that are going to be there or have them go as chaperones. is there a particualer reason your not allowed (i.e. you were caught doing something) ? i can see how you would feel left out. as for dancing, just move around. theres not right or wrong way to dance. have a friend show you or just slow dance. dances arent that great anyway, having ppl over for a movie is honestly more fun cuz theres no drama and minimal adult supervision. hope this helps n let me know if you need more on this.

Ok well when I started going out with my boyfriend (about 2 months ago), my mom told me that she didn't want me kissing him, but only hugging him and holding hands. She said that she didn't think that I was old enough to be in the type of relationship in which you kissed in. Well, I felt I was ready, and so when my boyfriend asked me on IM if he could kiss me the next day, I said it would be okay. Well, he kissed me (it was like a one second kiss on the lips), and I have kissed him about 7 or 8 times since then everyday at the end of school. I don't know what to tell my mom, because she will probably eventually find out about it. If I tell her, however, I'm afraid that she won't let me go to the movies, dances, etc. with him, because she won't trust us together. It just doesn't feel right not telling her. So what should I do?

its really not for her to decide. its not a horrible thing either. i can see her being upset about you 2 doing other things but this she will have to get over sooner or later. just be responsible about it- meaning no sickening pda's. well if you decide to tell her, she might trust you more because you did. just reassure her that you did it because you wanted to and you wont do anything else because you dont want to. hope this helps.

it really depends on your weight and how much alcohol you are used to...some ppl can take wayy more than others. if your planin on drinkin some, i suggest limiting it to 1 or 2 servings.

just keep them all as really good friends...some may back off, some will just get more aggresive. it will probably keep them undercontrol tho then you dont have to pick. you cuold try to find someone else, i would advise you to. follow your heart and do what you think is right.
