My friend lost his mom about 8 years ago, and his Dad promised him he wouldnt get married again. well now his dad is getting married. he's really pissed and hurt about it, but he cant really say why. she is a nice girl and eveything and my friend doesnt like her just because he is takeing the space of his mom. i dont know what to say to him...and the way he talks about her pisses me off. please help! what should i say to him?

well tell him that he does have a right to be mad and that he doesnt have to like her right away. as with all relationships, it takes a lot of time to warm up to them. his dad deserves to have happiness in his life and im sure its hard to raise a kid without a spouse. let him vent if he needs to, a lot of people have problems adjusting to new parents.there might be something he isnt telling you, dont force it out of him...just listen when he is sad about it. hope this helps and thanx for askin! <3
