LoveNJstyle answered Sunday May 8 2005, 4:31 pm: i wanna start off with IM SOO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE! i was grounded for like..ever. and this is a long article ...heres the second part:
"im not gay but i thought i could be...i was a junior in high school when my older bro told our family that he's gay. mom and dad were fine with it, they always taught me that being gay is somthing you are born with. but it got me thinking:if my bro is gay, could i be gay too? id always been boy crazy and dated a lot of guys in high school, but i started to wonder what it would be like to kiss a girl. would i like it? i knew one lesbian in high school, but in college i met a lot more. i liked that because ever since my bro came out, i really wanted to understand what being gay was all about. then, during my sophmore year, i realized i had a crush on my good friend katid, who was a lesbian and told me the previous semester that she thought i was cute. it was just like my crushes on guys-id wonder if id run into her, or think about how great she looked when i saw her in the hall. so one night when we were in her room, i decided to tell her. "im starting to have a crush on you" i said. she was into me too-so we decided to date. she and i just kissed and cuddled which felt good. but a month later, she asked if i was ready to have sex. i realized i didnt want to, and that i wouldnt be as turned on by the idea of having sex with a girl as i thought i would be. katie wasnt mad at me- she knew i had never been witha girl before. so we started to just be good friends. soon after, i started dating a guy i'd met at a party-and being with a guy felt a lot more comfortable."
i really hope this helps with the confusion. if yuou decide that you are bi...theres a "how to" comeout if you need it. let me know. again, thanks for asking! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
