A: The difference between love and lust is this: in lust, you only want the physical attractions of a person. In love, you see all of that person with perfection--their mind, soul, body, and heart. You're connected to them in more than a physical way. Moreso a mental connection. If you feel love for this Derek guy, I'd go back to him.

Q: today has been the worst day of my life. Ok, so i've liked this guy for over a year and i found out that my (one of my best friends) is moving in on him. She's after him and i think he likes her. she knows i like him, but doesn't care. My other best friends says we cant be best friends anymore. Everything is ruined at school for me now, what am isuposed to do? HELP

A: If the guy you like likes her, there's really nothing you can do about it but watch it happen. I'm sure this guy knows how you feel, but if he doesn't like you, why should he hold back from liking a girl just for you? Like the first person said, there are other guys in the world. Maybe this guy isn't the one for you. Tough luck, but wouldn't you rather go out with someone who loves you instead of someone who doesn't really like you? Wait and the right guy will come to you. As for your other best friend, is there a reason she doesn't want to be your best friend anymore? And how is everything at your school ruined for you now? If you simply are having this one problem at school, it can't be entirely ruined. Feel free to ask for help if you have any more problems.

Q: Hey I'm trying to look up guitar tabs for nirvana and I went to a website but I'm not sure how to read them.
Can anyone explain please?

I want to learn "smells like teen spirit." I tried asking my brother for help because he used to know how to play it but he hasn't in a while and probably too busy to help me now..

Ok, the lines represent the strings of a guitar. The numbers in parentheses on the lines represent which fret the fingers are on. For example, the chord G is shown on the tab above. This is a pretty easy way to read guitar music...more like cheating. But I find it MUCH easier than reading it like you would read...say...piano music.

A: If you didn't like the guy, and you dumped him, that's your decision. Other people have no right to say crap like that to you. My advice would be to just ignore the stuff they're saying because it's not true. Just be happy knowing that they're a bunch of immature retards and you're not what they say you are. Have a fun time being yourself!

Q: I play se;ect soccer. I get really really nervous before games and i don't know how not to be. I won't eat anything and i won't talk and i need a way to make my stomaach not hurt before a game and to be less nervous and calm!! Please help thanSS!!

A: I know exactly how you feel. Before my first soccer game, I was so extremely nervous I felt like puking. My team captain pulled me aside, and gave me some little tips to help me feel better. She told me to drink alot of water and to take really slow, deep breaths. She told me stretching would help alot, too. It really DID help me, and even though I was still nervous, my stomach didn't hurt anymore. Maybe you should try this and see if it helps you any.

Q: Are ghosts real? only if you know the answer then answer my question. only if you're sure.

A: Ghosts...more like spirits, if you will. No one knows for SURE whether there are spirits among us. Maybe not spirits, but angels. God says in the Bible that angels walk amongst us unknown, so maybe that's what "ghosts" are. I really am sorry but no one knows for sure.

A: A bladder infection is basically an infection inside your bladder. It can cause you to have a slight burning sensation when you urinate, so if you have that sympton you might want to check it out with your doctor.

A: Well, what is this woman's relationship to the guy you like? I'm not really clear on that, but even if she has some relationship to him in any way, don't believe anything she says unless you hear it come from that guy's mouth. Q: i have a coughing problem and i have no idea what im going to do because it comes so fast and at random times its ruining my life!! okay so in class il just be sitting and il get this feeling in the back of my throat and sometimes its only on one side, and it will make me gag if i dont cough!! and when i do cough my eyes get all watery, and the itchy/weird feeling in my throat wont go away. il have some water and itl go away but then it will come back. im not sick, and this comes only at random times and i always make a big scene cuz i gotta get up and go to the bathroom cuz its so loud and..bad. i hate the feeling!!!! somebody PLEASE HELP ME! ive tried coughdrops/water/gum and it doesnt help!

A: I have the same exact thing going on right now. I went to the doctor this morning, and he said that it's probably allergy-related. He told me to make sure I drank alot of smooth liquids with nutrients in them (ex. orange juice, milk, apple juice) and get plenty of rest. If the coughing doesn't go away in a few days or a week, I would go talk to your doctor about it.

Q: O.k. I have a.d.d. and all my teachers Know it, but they push me to hard. I told them about my issue just in case they forgot, but they still push me to hard. Should I tell my parents? A: Your teachers are pushing you hard because they want you to get better. Of course, alot of kids in this generation are lazy bums that don't want to do their homework and don't really want to get better at any school subject. I hope you aren't one of these kids, but...Anyway, back on topic. No, don't tell your parents. There's no reason to. Just work your hardest in class and try to improve in all areas of your school work. If you're absolutely, possitively certain that even with you working your hardest you can't keep up with the school work, then you should talk to the teacher, NOT your parents. If talking to the teacher doesn't work, then I would take the last resort and talk to your parents. Also, a d-hall for talking? Are you sure that's the only reason they gave you one?

Q: Ok, so i like this guy and well... i finally think he likes me back. For example, he laughs alot around me and we always have an awesome time together. The thing is.... my friend doesn't exactly like him..I don't really like her boyfriend, so we're even, right?

A: The question isn't about being even. And you shouldn't care whether your friend likes him or not. If you like this guy, it shouldn't depend on whether anyone else approves of him or not. You're obviously too concerned with what people think about you. You shouldn't care. It's not about what other people think, it's about what you think. So if you like this guy, that's fine. But really, stop being so frickin' sensitive to other people's thoughts. It doesn't MATTER what Jane thinks about Bob. She could think Bob was a frickin' manslut. But if you know Bob isn't a manslut and you like Bob, why should you care what Jane thinks?

Q: 14/F. Next time my dad goes to the movie store I get to pick a few movies. I prefer scary movies rated pg-13 or R. Movies I like were Saw and the Ring. I personally thought the Grudge was stupid. Any ideas? (I will take suggestions other then scary movies if they are good)

A: If you want a really freaky/scary movie, rent the Exorcist. I believe it's rated R for disturbing images and nudity. It's a REALLY freaky movie though. I do advise you not to see Boogeyman because it's an extremely STUPID movie. If you have any additional questions feel free to email me.

Q: I am a virgin and I am ready to have sex i think about it all the time but i'm afraid that it might hurt. My question it what does the first time haveing sex feel like? Is is digusting and painful or is it wild and crazy in good way?

A: I honestly have no clue, but listen: you say that you're ready, but are you? I know you don't want a rant out of this question, but please just take a moment to read this. You aren't ready physically or emotionally. Are you able to take care of a child at this point in your life? Birth control (any form) is NOT 100% effective. You could use all forms of birth control combined and still become pregnant. You need to be an adult and able to make your own decisions without having to worry about your parents' opinions (unless, of course, your parents just don't care) and you need to be in a stable relationship with someone you love/married. At your age, you are not emotionally ready. Please wait until you're older and with someone that you love because it'll be worth the wait.

Q: I'm British and have no idea about the American schooling age.
Please can someone tell me how old juniors, sophomores, seniors and freshmen are so I can relate to some of the questions being asked. Thanks in advance.

A: Basically, Freshman is equivalent to Grade 9 in highschool or the first year of college, Sophomore is equivalent to Grade 10 or second year of college, Junior is equivalent to Grade 11 or third year of college, and Senior is equivalent to Grade 12 or final year of college.

Q: i like my hair curly (waves not spirals) but i always burn myself using hot rollers and can't stand sleeping in soft rollers. can ne1 recommend and hair products or shampoos? i have just-above-shoulder length hair blond, a itsy bit wavy in the back,blonde. hope u can help. i will rate 5 for any good products. ♥

A: After you take a shower while your hair is still wet, braid it in loose braids. Sleep with your hair braided and leave it like overnight. The next morning blow dry it and then unbraid your hair. Voila! Pretty braids. If your hair's a bit frizzy from blow drying it, rub a little bit of conditioner in your hands and run your hands through your hair. Q: i’m asian, and my eyes are on the small side and i don’t have a double eyelid. what kind of eye makeup do you suggest? most fashion magazines just ignore asian eyes when dealing w/ eye makeup which is kind of annoying. also, i read ‘bobbi brown and teenage beauty’, which has a section that deals w/ asian beauty, but bobbi brown just suggested skin-tone eye makeup (tan, beige). colors like that are low-key and good for everyday wear i guess, but what if i want kind of a punk-rockish look? with dark makeup? and what if i want to wear (dark) exotic colors like violet and turquoise? serious answers please.

A: For a punk-rockish look I'd suggest black liquid eyeliner, maybe some violet, blue, or even jade green eyeshadow.

For everyday wear, I'd suggest a light violet or light green color eyeshadow and maybe some black eyeliner. You can make your eyes look bigger by lining only the corners of your eyes with dark eyeliner.
