Your parents are endangering your health by smoking around you. Second hand smoke can be deadly. Instead of just throwing away your parents cigarrettes, which will just annoy them try and get the point of your health across. Both my parents smoke and I got them to cut back by coughing loudly, and consistently whenever they lit up in my prescence. I also wore a doctors mask in our house for a couple days.
They are adults though, so you can't really make them do anything. Try and compromise if they won't quit completely- ask them not to smoke in the house, or around you or designate rooms where smoking is not allowed or is allowed.

Im going to get a root canal in about a few weeks and im REALLY terrified and scared!! I just went to the dentist today and they drilled my teeth, gave me 2 shots, put a dam on my mouth and pulled out the NERVES! The worst part was the dam adn the shots. Anyways I just want to know waht a root canal feels like and if it hurts on 1 - 10 and if you know any sites that tells about them. Please if you have had a root canal answer if you havent dont because I dont want the wrong information. (link)

I had a root canal done. I have problems with my jaw so it had to be done over 5 trips to the dentist. Novacaine doesn't usually work on me, so I had to be given two or three shots each time they started to work. Even still you are going to feel pain. Basically they drill into your tooth pull, and twist on the nerve endings so that tooth can't feel anything in the end. Your dentist will be able to explain it alot better, that's just what I felt going on in my mouth.
It sounds like the majority of your root canal is done. Next time you go to the dentist though, ask your dentist to put ambesol on the area the shot will be going into first, to stop the pain. After all the nerves are pulled out, your dentist will fill it up like a regular cavity, but with this weird stuff that is hard like a regular tooth. That part is pretty much painless. What I do to keep my mind off what's going on any time I go to the dentist is see how high I can count. Can you beat 2003?

Ok, I was surfing the net, and I decided to take an IQ test to see how smart i was. Im not bragging or anything, but I already knew that i was smart because i have straight A's in school(im in 8th grade) Well I took two different IQ tests and both of the results told me that I had a genuis IQ. I want to know how i can take a certified IQ test so that i can know for sure. I rate! (link)

talk to your school, in particular your guidance counselor, perhaps they can help. Just a small warning about IQ tests, they aren't always very accurate as your results deplete as you age. There are other tests use to more accurately caterogize your intelligence, hopefully your guidance counselor will steer you in the right direction.

if your boobs are still growing its very unlikely you have breast cancer. It might be a cyst, which although not usually dangerous, need to be checked out by a doctor. Or it could simply be related to your menstrual cycle (your boobs feel different when you are on your period, as opposed to when you are not). You need to go to a doctor, just to be on the safeside. It's good that you are keeping track of these things though.

the best website to check out before any piercing is http://www.bmezine.com They have a bunch of reviews by different people, with different pain tolerances who have gotten their belly button pierced (among others). You can check it out and judge how much it will hurt you, plus the reviews include who the piercer was, the studio and cost. You might be able to find a good recommendation of studio in your area.

that sounds like the start of an abusive relationship. Talk to her about the way he's treating her, and if she isn't willing to listen, get outside help. Maybe tell her family, to see if you can all talk to her together. Try not to stop being her friend, if things get worse, she'll need you more than ever.

I work at an arcade. I was your basic level grunt for a while: Did all the cleaning and such. Then I started getting more into repairs. Then my boss started to trust me with bigger responsibilities. I always carry two important keys with me on the same keychain with my keys for my car, home, etc: The key to the building, and the key to all the machines. I know the passcode to the security system, and have full access to the register, change machine, basically anything to do with money. I know exactly how much money the business makes, how much goes towards expenses, and how much each individual machine makes. I am trusted to run the place myself on several days of the week. That, my friend, is a LOT of trust that has been placed into me.
I started working there in Summer of 2003, so it's been about a year and a half by now. My starting pay was $6 an hour, and I was paid in cash right after the work day. If I worked for 4 hours, I'd take $24 out of the register and go home. No taxes to deal with or anything. Nice huh? But now I have been promoted to Assistant Manager. Now I am an offical employee. I will be paid on Mondays with a check, taxes taken out. The thing is, I'm going to get a raise, but I am to decide what it should be. Help me out.
Take these factors: I have worked there for a year and a half for the same pay, taxes are now being taken out, and I have to do so much more work than I used to. My pay has to be about $6.50 or $6.75 just to receive the same pay, because of taxes now. So what should I ask for? I hate to have made this so long, but there are a lot of factors at work here. hmm it's hard to think out of Canadian dollars for this. But are you still part time? on average how many hours are you working? and what is minimum wage in your state? Did anyone else hold this position before you? and what were they making? That would be a good indication on what to go on.
Without all the above information, I'm going to go with you were making $6.50 originally, with all the taxes now being included and say you should be making around $7.50 now.

it doesn't hurt too much if it's done properly. The best advice I can give is not to go to Claire's. I had to have mine done twice, because the first time at Claire's was done improperly. Wear your hair up to get it done, and it helps if you hold someone's hand. Right after it might be a bit hot, but that's about it for discomfort. If it's cold where you live right now bring a hat to wear when you go outside right after. As for healing, try not to talk on the phone or sleep on that side of your head. As for cleaning listen to their instructions, they'll usually sell you an after care kit, and your ear should be fine with that. After you wash your hair clean your ear with the solution they give you, to get the shampoo out.

I've been tring to use a Neutrogena deep pore cleanser when I take a shower to keep my skin looking good. When I put it on my face, it feels normal. After maybe 20-30 seconds it begins to burn to the point where I have to wash it off. I don't know if it's because I'm doing something wrong, or if that is supposed to happen because it's cleaning out my pores. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks alot! (link)

you could be allergic to an ingredient in the cleanser. If your face is red and tight afterwards, that's a dead give away you are allergic to it. Alot of neutrogena products use salylic acid which could be causing you problems. Try a different type of cleanser without salylic acid or an entirely different brand.

it's most likely a urinary tract infection. Make a doctor's appointment or go to a walk in clinic. They'll make you pee in a cup, test your pee and then give you some antibiotics for it. To avoid them in the future try drinking cranberry juice or taking cranberry pills.

I have filled out my college applications and I was wondering besides my application and the essay what else am I supposed to send it. I signed all the papers do they can get my transcripts. Another thing can I send in the applications in plain envlopes or do I have to use the ones they send me?

Unless the application requests extra information (eg a portfolio), don't send anything extra. Admissions will just get annoyed with having to wade through the extra stuff.
I'm not sure about the envelope issue because I applied online. I'd assume you'd use the envelope they give you unless you lost it or something. Good luck with your choices!

like others have said you should consult a doctor. There is a chance that you could become pregnant naturally, and you're doctor will be able to tell you these chances. If you can't there's always the option of in vitro fertilization in which your eggs are fertilized with your husband's sperm outside of the womb, and then implanted in the uterus. Women at your age have a greater risk of carrying a baby with down's syndrome so you may want to consult a doctor about that.

it's extra bacteria in the vagina that makes it itchy, and gives it a burning sensation. When you have a yeast infection you often have clumpy cottage cheese looking discharge. There's medication that you can buy in a drugstore, they're all grouped together. Errrrr the only brand that comes to mind is Monistat, once you find monistat you will find others and choose which one meets your fancy.
