How old are you? A lot of people think they have lumps especially just before or after they get their period. Has it grown in size since you found it? The best thing to do would be to go to the doctore and then you can put your mind at ease. They will be glad you have come to see them as it shows you are sensible and aware of the importance of checking yourself and checking anything you are worried about.

You can't be sure until you go to the doctor. Tell your parents first and go to the doctor to make sure nothing is wrong. It'd be a shame if you did have cancer and you died from it because you didn't get it checked out early enough. Tell your mom that you have a lump in your breast and see what she says and tell her that you want to go to the doctor to make sure that everything's ok. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Don't panic. You have to go to the doctor before you are sure you have breast cancer. It could just be a stopped up lymph node, which isn't terrible. So tell you parents and find out for sure, and then decide from their. It's very good that you are testing yourself.

PepeLePew answered Monday December 13 2004, 3:11 am:
It's less likely for a teen to have breast cancer, but if you think you have it, you should see a doctor right away. I once had two tomatoes. One had just a litle rotton piece, i cut it off and ate the rest, but the other one was even more rotton. More than half was rotton, I bet. So you see, the sooner you see a doctor, the less danger you will be in..or your breast.

well i don't know how you plan on telling for sure if you don't go to a doctor. hopefully your comfortable enough to talk to your mom. let her know the situation. if she needs to check it out you should let her. if she thinks it's serious enough you should make an appointment to go to the doctor. cause breast cancer is serious situation. and even though your not sure it's better to be safe than sorry.

It isn't right to not tell cuz if you have breast cancer it's not good. Tell somebody like your mom they're your family they'll always except you no matter what!

You said: i dont want to go to the doctor until i am for sure that i might have it.
But really, you don't know you have it until you go to the doctor.
See what I mean? You seriously need to go as soon as you can. It might be nothing, it might be something. The only way you'll know is if you get tested for it.

Don't wait to find out if you're sure you have it... Go get it tested right away. Wouldn't you be relieved to find out it was nothing.. (which it may be) as for telling your parents just say, you're not sure what it is but you want to have it checked out soon. They'll completely understand... but hun, go to the doctor!

Hope I helped!

Notso answered Sunday December 12 2004, 4:23 pm:
if your boobs are still growing its very unlikely you have breast cancer. It might be a cyst, which although not usually dangerous, need to be checked out by a doctor. Or it could simply be related to your menstrual cycle (your boobs feel different when you are on your period, as opposed to when you are not). You need to go to a doctor, just to be on the safeside. It's good that you are keeping track of these things though.

It depends on how old you are. If you're a teen, it's normal to have lumps as your breasts are growing. Just see your doctor and get it over with.

You can never be sure. You just have to go to the doctor. I've been through someone telling me they have cancer many times so what you should do is sit them down calmly and tell them. If I was you I would go to the doctor first. You don't want to get them worked up over nothing. I hope I helped. God blesses you through this time.
P.S. If your family needs to talk to anyone who has lost someone very close to cancer leave one in my inbox (thet will either be able to talk to my mom, grandama, or one of my cousins) (mom lost sister) (grandma lost daughter) (cousins lost mother).

Well the only way to truely know that the lump may be a sign of breast cancer is if you go to your doctors and get it checked out! You could also look online for lumps I guess but you should go to your doctors! If you don't go, it may lead to a lot of problems! Hope I helped :)
