Hey, I'm Elana... I'm 15 years old and I love to help people.. I know I know, everyone says that on this site, but I can be pretty good at giving advice sometimes. I'm into lots of sports, tennis, softball, and my new thing... Track, haha... I also dance, play piano (obviously) my saxophone (love it) and go online... A LOT! lol

Random stuff about me: I'm 5'1 and a 1/2".. I LOVE music..favorite bands are: switchfoot, green day, rooney, foo fighters, stone temple pilots, and any jazz music, my friends and family mean so much to me, things don't always go the way I want them to..(when does it ever work like that?) bowling rocks my world!! haha even if I suck! :) I'm extremely energetic and bouncy as my friends know, and I like to laugh, at anything...

I have a chichuah and it is really submissive. You cant walk in the house without it peeing. friends come over and it pees. if u pick it up in the morning it pees. we tryed egnoring it. doggy dipers. yelling at it (which makes it worse). and even being really nice, so it doesnt get nervious. Do you know what to do? I NEED HELP. my parents hate it cause its destroying the house. i love the dog and i dont want to get rid of it :'(

This sounds like it might have a disorder of some kind. An over-active bladder? If you haven't taken it to a vet yet, do take it soon. Maybe it needs training of some kind. Don't give up! Research it online and talk to people who have chihuahuas. My dog is small too, and they do tend to get nervous very easily. Just keep calming it and maybe it'll outgrow this phase. But talk to the vet about this too! Don't worry you won't get rid of it! Good Luck!

there's this kid that i really really like and well when i'm around him he is always all over other girls ( is he doing it to make me jelous??) and he doesn't really talk to me anymore cas i'm to affarid to go up and talk to him so i think he thinks i don't like him ( do you think thats why he won't talk to me???)

He probably doesn't even realize he's doing this. Don't be afraid to talk to him. He'd probably love it. Just take a deep breath and have a conversation with him. Sometimes when you don't talk to someone they tend to back off, so don't let him. I wouldn't worry so much about being around other girls just keep talking to him and flirting! that's important too :) Good Luck

I just wanted to suggest that Advicenators should get like an Art&Literature and Poetry section. That way if people who like to write want ideas for their next story\poem, they can ask advicenators. I, myself, have written a few poems that I wanted peoples comments on and they have been deleted.

I actually really like that idea.. I don't know how well it would work though. Many people would use it to make fun of others hard work or something, I don't know. There should be a section with Art & Literature though, for maybe questions about books or poems, or like you said, get advice on their own poetry. Good idea!

Ok there is this senior in my art class and I know him from our mothers because they work together.By the way I am a senior.I told my mom I think he likes me because of the way he acts around me and she said dont even try it.I wouldnt anyway because I only like him as a friend.Then on Friday he gave me his number and said call me if you want to hang out.I dont want to be mean but I want to hang out with him but I am afraid he will ask me out and I dont want to so does anyone know what I should if he does??Ill rate high for any answer

If you want to hang out with him then go for it! He may or may not like you.. He may just think you'd be fun to hang out with like you think of him.. You could try hanging out with him in a group so he gets the idea of "friends." but if you hang out alone and he does ask you out.. You may have to do the old "I like you as a friend but nothing more" line. It's harsh but it's the only way to get your message across. Good Luck!

Aww I know how you feel hun. Before my bf and I started going out we talked, but it never felt like he really laughed like he did with one of my other friends. I know you don't want to talk to him, but honestly that's the only way.. Or strike up a random conversation with him and make him laugh. But really I think talking to him is the best way. Just be like I feel silly asking this but am I special to you? or something of the sort. You really are special to him.. he may be shy, or just didn't realize he was doing that.. Good Luck!

yeah hi. well um i cant figure out the dam tampons. i REALLY want to use them soo bad cause pads are so nasty! i need a freakin like DRAWING to help me because words dont work. idk if you can help but im just putting it out there!

by b/f and mines anniversary is comming up and i dont know what to do. its 2 years for us and i want to do something really special. thing is its kinda limited because we're only 16 so theres some things i cant do. last year i made him a scrap book. i dont know what to do this year. i want to do something really special. any ideas? im not too good with making things. but im good with writing...if that helps any. thanks.

Ok well this may sound really lame, but since you're good with writing, write a poem for him. complete it with photos of you two and put it in a picture frame or something. Show him how much he really means to you. Candy and teddy bears are always a safe choice too. And music of course like a mix CD or something. The scrap-book idea was really cute though maybe you could continue it this year? Whatever you choose I'm sure he'll love it. Good Luck!

Running or walking a lot either way is a way to lose weight. Running has it's benefits because you'll lose the weight faster. Walking though is just as good for you. You also burn the same amount of calories if you walk a mile or you run a mile. So yeah if you want to walk that's fine. Good luck!

me and my best friend were hanging out the last couple of days because shes having issues with her boyfriend and ex boyfriend so i spent the night on monday and we tried to figure things out for her. on tuesday things only got worse i told her a couple days before i went to her house she could sleepover at mine on tuesday so after things got worse 30 minutes before my dad came to get me she was like im going to your house she went down stairs to tell her mom and her mom went crazy yelling and telling her that she had no respect for her moms rules or for her mom and it kinda freaked me out im not used to alot of yelling bc my parents are pretty laid back when we were leaving she was like i dont want you over here anymore but the thing is i didnt do anything wrong i was just there to help out a friend and there really isnt a reason for her mom to dislike me so much her mom already didnt like me bc i have different ideas about how a family should be run and my friend tells her mom everything shes my best friend and i would hate to stop being able to hang out just because her mom doesnt like me bc that really isnt fair whats up with her mom and how can i change things??( her mom scares the crap outta me!!) sorry this is so long but please help!!!

Oh gosh! I would definitely not worry about this too much.. I'm sure your friends mom doesn't hate you or anything. But maybe what you can do is talk to your friend about this and have her discuss it calmly with her mom.. (without you there) maybe her mom will see how harsh she's been if her daughter points it out to her. Or, if your parents are friends with hers, then they could discuss it together. OR if you're really feeling "bold" sit down with your friends mom and your friend and all have a "heart-to-heart" of the sorts. Hopefully talking will take a little of the tension away and calm everyone down. Don't jump to conclusions just yet though, she could've been having a very bad day or something.. Good luck!

Hello,

First off - I am appauled that there is no reading or literature category. If you feel you need to put in "Home Decorating" then you should put in "Literature" - the few of us cultured folk have questions too.

I went to my local book store seeking a copy of the books - Ishmael by Daniel Quinn and Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegurt Jr. (not positive on the spelling of Vonnegurt)

The books all together were something like $40 - which is a tad above my budget for reading material at the moment. I was wondering if anyone knew of some site online (not an ebay kind of thing - something more focused on consumer happiness than general profit) where I could maybe find a less expensive used copy of each.

Im aware I can use Amazon or something like that - but i'd prefer something different. Please only post something that you have used, or know someone has used and walked away satisfied.

I appreciate the help folks.

First off- it's "apalled" and your question doesn't really have anything to do with literature.. you mainly are just looking for an online bookstore of the sorts..

However I would suggest to use Amazon.com because their prices are very affordable and they have most every book you could want. what sort of different thing are you looking for? I'm sure you'd find these books on Amazon. Good luck!

what you do is when you're looking at someone's profile and it says in the about me section "this profile was designed using tom's myspace editor 2.5 or 3" click on that link.. then choose your background and it'll give you a code. Then just put that code into your profile in the about me section and you'll have a background..

OKay, well this might be quite odd, but you see I been with this guy for about 4 years, then we broke up b/c our parents starting talking and eventually dating, NOW their getting married. Both of our parents know we dated before, but they think its over, but...its been over, but we still "fool around" if you know what i mean once and a while. I mean, this is the guy that taught me like everything and what i know today is because of him.So anyway, he's coming up aoon for the wedding next week and he wants to ...you no before we are "offically" brother and sister..So should i do some things and have a bit of fun or would it be wrong?

nooo... I wouldn't do anything with him.. as fun as it may be, you guys are about to be brother and sister now so you might as well start acting like it now, before the wedding. If it gets really uncomfortable though, talk to your parents or something. It's awesome they're getting married, but it will be awkward at first for you and your new step-brother. hmm.. very good question.. lemme try to explain:
The 2 cats would not make it across the road at the same time because of an oncoming car in that case one of the tigers would get very angry and instead of eating the ice cream would let it melt. That way the 8 penguins would not go bowling on Tuesday..

my grandmother is making me go to therapy again. i don't wanna go, and i don't see the point of wasting the money for me to talk to someone just so they can't say anything about it to her. my grandmothers reasoning is that she feels that my friends may talk to their parents about what i say and she wants me to be able to talk to someone that won't be able to say anything about it to her. now im not normally rebelious and something that i just got back is at stake if i tick her off, so should i just go though it to please her or say something??? ill rate high for good advice!!

If you don't wanna piss her off, I would just go to therapy.. that way you get to talk to someone, and you still get to keep whatever you just got back. Point out to her though that you're fine and it may be a waste of money. But don't push it, if she still wants you to go, do it.. Good Luck!

Okay, I'm 15/Female if that matters and I've liked this guy for about a month. He liked me at the beginning of the school year for a long while but he never told me that because I had a boyfriend at the time. Now, I'm single and I'd like to go out with him but here's the problem .. he's been dating this girl for a month. I don't get why they're together though because everytime he wants to hug her she just pushes him off, she never wants to hold his hand, kiss him, or anything and I don't know why because they're going out .. but my question is, should I wait until him and his girlfriend break up so I can ask him out or should I go ahead and try and like some other guy or do something else?

Tell him how you feel now... It's better if you get it out in the open. That way if he still has feelings for you, you can leave it up to him if he wants to break up with his girlfriend or not. But don't wait. It's always better to tell someone you like them, rather than just wait. If he doesn't like you, move on. He's missing out. Good luck, hope everything works out for you!

i like this guy at my school..and he seems to like me but i'm not sure in 4th and 5th pd. he always like tlaks and playfully messes with me when the teacher isnt around and he like picks me up and stuff..blows me kisses and stuff like that..but one day this girl that also likes him told me friend that he said he didnt like me he just likes messing with ppl cuz he likes to flirt..could she be telling the truth or just lieing b/c she likes him too?

Watch him carefully.. see how he really is with other girls. If it seems like you're getting special attention, then awesome! sounds like he likes you! Some guys are flirts though and you need to watch out for that too. The best way to find out if someone likes you: ask them. Just make casual conversation about who he likes and whatnot. Maybe he'll tell you it's you! That girl might be lying, cause girls do that, especially when the guy they like likes someone else...haha good luck! sorry this took awhile to answer..
