However being 37 there are certain health risks that your doctor should inform you of. Most woman your age who are trying to get pregnant for the first time may also use fertility drugs to help conception. Best of luck! [ superGiRL21's advice column | Ask superGiRL21 A Question ]

I'd also recommend seeing a doctor. Because of your age, it is important that you get pregnant as quickly as possible - complications skyrocket after the age of 40 - and perhaps your doctor can offer methods to help increase your fertility.
Notso answered Monday November 22 2004, 1:28 pm: like others have said you should consult a doctor. There is a chance that you could become pregnant naturally, and you're doctor will be able to tell you these chances. If you can't there's always the option of in vitro fertilization in which your eggs are fertilized with your husband's sperm outside of the womb, and then implanted in the uterus. Women at your age have a greater risk of carrying a baby with down's syndrome so you may want to consult a doctor about that. [ Notso's advice column | Ask Notso A Question ]
selectopaque answered Monday November 22 2004, 12:52 pm: The option of adoption is always a good way to go. Are you certain that you and/or your husband are medically able to have children at any age? This is obviously something you need to find out from a doctor.
I'm sorry I can't give you specific ways to help you get pregnant, but I mostly wanted to put the option of adoption into your mind. My aunt has always wanted children, but at around 37-40 she found out that she had an extremely small chance of even being able to handle the pregnancy. So she adopted. She now has two beautiful boys and is looking to adopt a little girl.
The best part about it is that she can know that she has "saved" these children from a life with a extremely unfit mother. Both of the boys are biological brothers who were adopted at two different times. The mother had many problems and various partners. But, the children are both very healthy and extremely smart. RedNeckShOrTy answered Monday November 22 2004, 12:08 pm: My aunt recently had a baby six months ago. She was 37, turning 38 in March. All i can say is keep trying. My aunt had a few miscarriages before she gave birth. I'm going to be serious...it might not be easy. She had problems during her pregnancy. It might not go perfectly...i think she had problems because of her age but im not 100% sure. If you want, you could always adopt. Ihope I helped!
