Me and my best friend were having such a good time, going out away from our children together and then her b'friend goes and gets jealous. Jealous of me, like I'm competition for him or something...I'm not unless she's looking for a lesbian relationship, jesus christ!! So now she feels like she can't talk to me, she even hung up on me tonight!!!!! She said her b'friend doesn't want her to dress up or put on makeup when she goes out...WITH ME!!! He's so controlling that she can't even go out with her g'friends?? That's sick!! I miss my friend!! What do I do?? Nothing? Let her be retarded?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

She seems to be slipping into an abusive relationship, and the worst thing you could do is leave her alone and make her think that the best thing is to be with this guy all the time. Tell her that you are worried about her and that you aren't going to just go away or let him treat her like that.
If she tells you to leave you alone or repeatedly blows you off, keep trying and don't let her boyfriend get in your way of seeing her. Make her realize that the best and most welcoming situation isn't a situation where she is with her boyfriend 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Notso answered Wednesday December 8 2004, 1:10 am: that sounds like the start of an abusive relationship. Talk to her about the way he's treating her, and if she isn't willing to listen, get outside help. Maybe tell her family, to see if you can all talk to her together. Try not to stop being her friend, if things get worse, she'll need you more than ever.
