cartilage piercing....
Hey all, well, on Saturday, im gonna get my cartilage pierced! (Like at the upper ear, where actress Raven-Symone has it). And i was wondering, if all of all of you that have one could tell me about the pain, how 2 make it go good and keep my mind off of it, and healing processes?!?!?! Im getting it down with a gun if it helps any....

hey well i can definatly answer this one because i have my cartilage done too! i love it so much, that i actually got it pierced 2 times because the first time it fell out and i loved it so much i got it done again.. that should help because i dont think it hurt that much, i mean it hurts more than ear lobes but it is definatly not bad.. but just warning you it is pretty soar for a while but it will get to where it doesnt hurt at all anymore, just make sure you clean it and everything like that and you will be all set! i love cartilage piercings i think they r so cute and look good on almost anybody! x3

hey i haven't gotten it done yet! but my aunt has and she said it doesn't hurt! it will hurt sum but not like pain all day or ne-thing like that! just maybe a sting or sumthing like that! it's kind of like a shot so i would relax and think about going 2 the beach or getting your first kiss!(if u haven't or think of how good it was if you have)! lol hope i helped :)

It is a lot less painful with a gun and it barely hurts at all. My third piercing at the bottom hurt more than that. Dont even think about what you are doing just sit there and act like you are waiting for dinner or something!!! That is what I did and it didnt hurt!

i've gotten my cartilage done twice, and it doesn't hurt when they do the piercing, but for a week or so after, your ear will be sore and you won't be able to sleep on that side.just make sure to clean it everyday, and remember to turn it, and you should be fine.

well here is what you do, 1. you never take it out even for a half and hour or else it will close up. 2. you can only take it out when you want to change your earing. and 3. it will bleed. and 4. dont worry it does not hurt, i had it pierced on both sides.

hey hun, i have my cartilage pierced on each ear. i have 2 next to eachother on one ear and then one at the top and then one in the middle of the outside part on the other ear. if you are gettin the top done then the pain is less then if you were getting the middle part. it is like a little pinch. i use to work at Claire's and i would do ear piercings. i can tell you that about 85% or so ask themselves why they were so worked up over nothing. it is 1,2,3 and your done. then there is a solution put on that helps take away the stinging. it honestly isnt that bad!! the healing process takes 8-12 weeks. well you can change them after then, however i know from experience that you should keep it in longer. you do have to keep it in for at least a year before you can go without wearing an earing. you need to clean it and turn it twice a day. when it starts to crust at about 4 weeks or so DONT WORRY it is not infected. that is just a sign that it IS healing. as gross that it might be its a good thing. well i hope that this helps you out and good luck!

just sit there and think of anything i ahd mine pierced before and it doesn't hurt at all to my....for it not to hurt or anything just take really good care of if.......

Theres no pain and i just counted when i got mine pierced and just make sure you twist it and clean it

I had mine done before and when you get it done its honestly not that bad just keep thinking how good it will look after wards. Make sure you clean it daily or it will get infected. I had to take mine out b/c i got a big bubblish type of thing on the back of my ear but i think it was b/c of the type of earing i had b/c I cleaned it every morning evening and before i went to bed. But I think yours should look pretty good!

it doesnt hurt!!!!! i was soooo scared t0o!! i got mine done with a gun...ppl say its worse 2 get it with a gun bc it gets infected but its not true......mines is fine i had it pierced for two years now and it didnt hurt...but it does hurt lyke after...it hurts to touch it and to sleep on it so just take some tylenol or someting....but its worth it...and the healing process takes long...just clean it and itll b fine....make sure u dont get hairspray or nothing it in.....but it doesnt really hurt....good luk!!

it doesn't hurt too much if it's done properly. The best advice I can give is not to go to Claire's. I had to have mine done twice, because the first time at Claire's was done improperly. Wear your hair up to get it done, and it helps if you hold someone's hand. Right after it might be a bit hot, but that's about it for discomfort. If it's cold where you live right now bring a hat to wear when you go outside right after. As for healing, try not to talk on the phone or sleep on that side of your head. As for cleaning listen to their instructions, they'll usually sell you an after care kit, and your ear should be fine with that. After you wash your hair clean your ear with the solution they give you, to get the shampoo out.

It dont hurt. Just think about someone you like thats what I do when i do stuff and i go GREAT! really in tech. lol i type and like of the boy i like and i get A's in that class!

don't worry about it, it doesn't actually hurt all that bad... i mean getting anything peirced is gonna hurt...but i'm sure you can fight through it

ahh it doesn't hurt.. don't think about it when it happens, you won't feel anything. and when u get it done, don't sleep on it.. because it hurts for the first day or two. and put the stuff that they give you on it so it doesn't get infected! good luck w/ it!
