about

I'm a mother of 2 boys who are 13 months apart. Talk about a handful. I'm a wife to the best husband I could have ever dreamed of.
I'm one of the very blessed.

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.
I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

advice

I have a boyfriend that's 18 who turns 19 in August. And I'm 16 and I turn 17 in October.Would it work out if I was going in Highschool and he went to college in the area.Or do you think he would get tired of me and get someone better who's in college or whatever.Or even I would find someone in highschool.I just want some opinions if you don't mind.

**EDIT** With you turning 17, it is very HIGHLY unlikely that he would face any charges as a pedophile by dating you. You are almost a legal adult...

Well, if you care enough for each other and he is is attending school in the area, then I don't see why a continued relationship wouldn't work.

ok 15/f...if that helps. Ok so one of my best guy friends is like in love with me. I know it, he knows it, the world knows it. I don't like him back. And the world knows that too (including him). I hear everyone saying that he is such a sweet guy and he would do anything for me but I just don't like him. I don't know what to do. He's liked me forever and he can't seem to get over me (sorry if that sounds cocky). I'm not leading him on or playing with his emotions b/c I'm just trying to be his friend. And he complains to everyone about how much he likes me and how I don't like him back and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I've even tried taking a break from him for a while but he's said that he would rather get over me on his own than have us take a break from our friendship. Help?

Thanks.

Hey, look. He is just going to have to get over it. Otherwise, how can you continue to have a healthy friendship?
I have said it before, and I will say it again: Changing some one's feelings is just as easy as changing the past. YOU CAN'T DO IT. Period.
He will have to realize that your feelings are FRIENDLY ONLY and get over it.
Talk to him, and inform him of that fact. If you feel you need to take a break from him to help him open his eyes to that fact, then DO IT. Weather he likes that or not.
Obviously, this idea he has of getting over you in his own time is a goal too far out of his reach if he is complaining about how much you don't like him in that way.

Okay, well this is as basic as it gets.
I have two choices, one go to a [certain place]
for 3 days and be happy with my life. Because i REALLY REAALLY would like to go to this place.
The thing is that there are other certain people that don't want me to go, for personal safety and such. Even though i know nothing bad is going to happen.
The person said that if i go, it would never be the same with us again and so on.
But i still really want to go.
I just don't know what to do.
:[

Well, it's kinda hard for me to give you advice on this, considering I don't know what certain person you are referring to (parent? sibling? boyfriend? friend?). Parents can be quite protective, as well as siblings, and friends and boyfriends can want to talk you out of going for fear of you moving on with your life without them. See my dilemma here?

It's hard for me to advise you on weather or not the place you want to go is truly safe, or if you are blind to it's lack of safety out of your great want for going. Get it?

Otherwise, I would have to say that it is your life to do whatever makes you happy, though I wish I had more to go on to give you better advice with your particular situation.

Remember: When you ask questions on this site, it is completely anonymous. I have a paid account, so I get a little more information than those who don't. But the most extra information I know about you is that you post as a female, age unspecified. So no worries on giving more detail, ok?

I have this weird sense of humor, and I laugh at a lot of things and everything is funny to me- like inside jokes with my friends and stuff...
And when we say something REALLY hilarious and stupid that makes me literally laugh until I cry, I can't stop thinking about it for hours or days or weeks or months or even years after it happened.

And these funny thoughts always come back to me randomly at the WORST possible times- when it's only appropriate to be serious. And honestly I can't control how my face turns bright red and I try so hard to hold back my laughter, but if it's really bad it comes out as sort of snickering through my nose, and sometimes i'll even sort of start to cry. Sometimes people notice it and then they just think i'm some weirdo.

I've gotten in a HUGE amount of trouble for it before. But I honestly can't control this i'm telling the truth!

so please tell me what might be up with my mind.

So I guess I don't see what's wrong with having an outstanding sense of humor.

Hey, I have a strange sense of humor, personally. For example: I used to have a schoolmate whose last name was Sledd. I just thought it was hilarious wondering if her dad's name happened to be Bob. (Get it... Bob Sledd... LMAO still to this day...)

Now, I would laugh about stuff like that at the most inopportune moment, and would occasionally be scolded by my teachers, but I NEVER thought there was something wrong with my mind.
There is nothing wrong with yours, either.

What is even worse, was I once had a laughter break-out in church, of all places, and no matter how hard I tried not to giggle, I couldn't stop. I would try to think of something non-funny, and I would somehow find that even MORE comical.

So the best thing I can tell you to do is when you feel a comic outburst, try to let it unnoticably come and go. Try not to allow it to escalate by trying to force your train of thought elsewhere, as I did (THAT was so very embarrassing...) unless you think it will work. :)

Other than that, be proud of your good sense of humor. There are too many people in this world who are too serious to know how to take a joke.

hey guys, my boyfriend told me last night that "he knows" that I am deleting text messages from my cell phone that I don't want him to see...Well, he's right, but of course, I denied it. I'm not flirting with any guys or anything like that! I love him to death and I would never think of doing anything stupid to mess up our relationship, but I do delete stuff that i don't want him to see, like things I'm talking to my girls about or stupid stuff I dont want in my message box...But I cant tell him that or he will assume its cuz its a guy or something blah blah blah...So, what I'm asking is how CAN he KNOW? He told me again today!! I delete them from my inbox and outbox and from a message recipients list I have in my nokia...He doesnt go online to check our account so I dont know how he knows!!! can someone who is savvy in cellphones help me figure out how he knows I'm deleting stuff? It's weirding me out...

Ok, you say "our account" so I assume you share a phone plan?

It says on the bill how many texts came to each phone number on the plan. It shows the phone number each text went to and came from. With TMobile, if you have unlimited texting, it only shows the number of texts per phone, per month, but it may depend on your phone provider. If he reads the bill, that is how he would know.

But my question to you is, why is he so worried about your text messages? That is your personal business, not his.

Hell, my husband and I have separate phones, and he gets a lot of calls and such, but I never fret over what is or isn't on his phone. It isn't any of my business or concern. It's called TRUST.

There are two key ingredients to a healthy relationship. Trust and honesty. Without that, you are getting nowhere fast- you just don't see it until it slaps you in the face.

I hope this is something you can resolve by being honest with him by letting him know he has nothing to worry about, and that he trusts you and lets it go. If he doesn't trust your honesty, then, sadly, you need to seriously reconsider this relationship.

alright, so tomorrow we're going on a field trip to metro beach and we HAVE to pack a lunch. i don't pack lunches (i buy them from the cafeteria) so i really don't know what to do. we have to have them in a paper bag and so far i have:

-Blue powerade
-Sunchips

that's all i can think of. what else should i pack? please no sandwiches or anything that requires a container. thanks!

**EDIT** Yah! Lunchables! That's it! LOL

How about one of those snack packs? I forget what you call them- they have meat, cheese, crackers, stuff like that. Handy Packs or something? Shoot, I forget. Surely you know what I'm talking about, here LOL.
Anyhow, they don't require a container, so that may be something you could take along.
Also, maybe a fruit, like an apple or banana?

How exactly do the orthodontists take OFF your braces..?? im getting mine off in july.. and im kinda freaking out... THANKS

He'll remove the rubber bands so he can pull out the wire. He will then use his little needle nose pliers to remove the metal bands on your molars, and the metal brackets glued your teeth. It doesn't hurt, just feels like a pulling pressure. It hurts worse to have them tightened, so no worries on that.

He will then take his little scraper and scrape the remaining glue from your teeth. No harm will be done to your enamel, but it is a good idea to set up a cleaning appointment. He may even take his little buffer to the front of your teeth.

Don't worry. It's nothing to freak about at all. But I'll tell you, it's a strange feeling for the rest of the day to not feel the metal against your lips and tongue!

i recently had a sleep over and i asked my friend b4 bed if she was gunna take her bra off and she said no, she wears it to bed, and its bad not too. then my other friend said you shouldnt wear one to bed cuz its bad for you or something. should you? will it change anything if you dont?
thanks xx

Well, it depends on weather you find it comfortable to sleep in or not.
I, personally feel like wearing a bra 24/7 is like how it would feel to wear your shoes 24/7. So I prefer to have a little air and freedom while sleeping. But I absolutely hate wearing anything on my feet, so wearing shoes all the time would be torture for me. :)
Do what is comfortable for you. It won't change anything either way.

I need help. I've been watching my weight for an extremely long time. I do ok, I eat about 1200-1500 calories a day & run 4 times a week for about 20 minutes. I eat a lot of fruit, yogurt, cereal, veggies, etc. I was really depressed today. I'm not sure why. I went downstairs & I just started eating. I had 100 calorie pack chocolate chip muffins. I have no idea why I ate them. That's usually not the way I behave. I don't eat those sort of things, but they were in my house because they're 100 calorie packs. After I finish eating them & drinking milk, I just lose it. I start crying & basically have a panic attack. I work so hard & randomly I just eat something I know I normally wouldn't eat, but my mind just does it's own thing & I end up eating something I don't want to. I'm going to be upset for the rest of the day & I'm not sure if I want to eat dinner. How can I get over this?

You need to realize that with your normal every day healthy diet and your good exercise regimen, it won't hurt you to cheat and munch on things that aren't good for you now and again. It's nothing to be upset over, and it's definitely nothing to be skipping meals over.

Skipping meals is a bad thing. When you do, your body thinks its starving and needs to store fat, so it stores extra when you eat next time. It is your body's natural survival instinct, weather you need to store fat or not.

It's wonderful that you watch what you eat and do healthy exercise, but don't turn it into an obsession by flipping out every time you eat something unhealthy, or you are opening yourself up for trouble with eating disorders.

Yah, you slipped up on your healthy diet for the day- IT IS OK. You will be fine, I promise. No since crying over drank milk, right?

I need advice!!! I'm 21, had 11 sexual partners, been in two serious relationships, and very happy with my body and feel confident in sex but just can't have an internal orgasm and never have!!!! What's going on!?!?!?!?! It's attually starting to worry me now. I'm in a serious relationship and i feel totally comfortable, so it's not because I'm trying too hard or don't feel comfortable. HELP?!!!!

This is totally normal. Women don't always orgasm without stimulation to the clitoris. Some women don't orgasm from their G-spot at all, and some always do. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you, because there isn't, or that you don't have a G-spot, because you do.
You may consider trying different positions to see if he can hit it.

okay like 3 nights ago me and my bf broke up, and i found out yesturday he made out with this chick. it makes me think he never ever really liked me because he said he still cared for me after we broke up.and i'm really depressed,it sucks. i just need help,i need advice, how do i feel better?

It doesn't mean he never liked you, it just means he has chosen to move on. Yah, 3 days seems rather quick, but she may just be a rebound. It doesn't mean he doesn't still care for you, either.
Take pleasure in knowing he doesn't care for her, and he likely won't keep her around.

is there a way to stop your period for like a day? i've heard something about drinking vinegar or something like that..i just want it to be at least lighter for a day.
thanks!

No. You can't control your body like that, though it would be nice if we could.
Drinking vinegar will only give you a belly ache, and make your breath smell like salad. Also, vinegar has fumes that will take your breath away. You don't want to try it, ok?
Sorry, but you just have to let nature take its course.

ok, theres a guy in my class who i really like and where really close friends. Everytime i see him i have to be with him... today i think we had a "moment" we just looked at each other.... and walked on. I really want to be with him. Although could our friendship be messed up and feel awquard when around each other? My best friend used to date him. This makes it worse as she really liked him. I cant tell her i dont how she will react. How can i see if he likes me back without him knowin i like him?

Since you are close friends with him, the best thing would be to just tell him and sit down and discuss with one another the pros and cons of having a relationship with a friend.
If he doesn't feel about you as you do about him, he won't hold it against you, if he is a true friend. He will most likely be very flattered, and quite possibly be glad that you said something.
As for your best friend, the key words here are "USED to date him". She shouldn't react like a jerk or anything, because obviously they weren't meant for each other, or they would still be together. And, if she does act sour about it, she will get over it.

i do feel weird writing this but im scared and need to no well lately if been having weird thoughts like heaps scary, like a crazy person wouldi think im going crazy sometimes i hear things and not sure if they were there just everythings gone weird from one night i was smoking pot cause i no what being stoned feels like and its not this i been smoking it for a few years now im just paranoid and stuff about like evereything and dont just blame it on im stoned because it fees differnt all thats in my head is death anything to with dying like not me i dont want to kill myself but like me already people dead or some one around me going to die
or that there not really there that there just in my head please tell me what you think

Well, something is triggering your increasing thoughts of doom and gloom. It may be the pot, but it may be something deeper in your mind than that.

I would highly suggest you see a therapist and talk out these things. Don't avoid telling them about smoking pot- if you aren't totally honest with them, they can't give you the help you need and deserve. They can't tell anyone about your drug use due to doctor/patient confidentiality.

But like I said, it may be something hiding in your mind that is causing these thoughts, and a therapist can help you to see the cause of the problem and teach you how to deal with it and move on to lead a happier existence.

I make about $10 an hour right now. When the minimum wage increases to $7.50, will my wage increase, too? And won't the cost of everything go up? If it does, then why make the minimum wage higher if everything is gunna get more expensive?

Well, it's like this- with the huge increase in gas prices, everything has ALREADY gone up in price.

I mean, I walk into the grocery store, and I pay over $9 for less than 5 pounds of hamburger, when I used to be able to get it for $5 or $6. And that isn't the only thing that has gone up in price.

Everything that is shipped requires the use of some sort of fuel, weather it be by plane, train, or truck. Since the huge price increase for fuel, it costs companies more to ship their products. They have to make ends meet somehow, so they raise their prices to the stores, etc, and then they in turn have to raise their prices on the consumer.

So, increasing minimum wage is an overdue relief on the poor guy, like me, who can only buy a gallon and a half of milk for her children for every hour worked. Thankfully, I'm lucky enough that my husband has now got a decent paying job, so I don't have to worry about my son's next meal anymore, but many, many others are not so lucky.

So see, it's a good thing. It makes those who make merely $5.15 per hour able to afford to eat more than just potatoes, with the rising cost of consumer products, such as groceries.

As for your wage going up, that is up to your employer. You make over the required minimum hourly wage, so they don't have to change your rate of pay at all if they don't wish to.

Hope I got your questions answered, and didn't just bore you to sleep or plant question marks of confusion over the top of your head. :)

The closest college to me is 45 minutes away. I want to go there. There isn't housing, though (it's a 2-year school).

I think I'll end up driving there to class everyday. Is that a stupid decision, considering the cost of gas and spending over an hour driving to and from class?

It's definitely worth your money spent in gas. If you get a student loan, financial aide, or school grant, see if you can get money that will be applied towards paying your travel expense.
45 minutes isn't all that far. That's about how far I am from the nearest college, too.

how much do you pay at TMOBiLE when you tell them you want a 2 year contract? Do you even have to pay?

First you have to be 18. It is illegal for anyone to make a contract with a minor. Just an FYI if you are a minor...

It works like this- They do a credit check. If your credit is good, you will be able to get your contract with little to no deposit. (Most likely no deposit) If you pay a little bit of a deposit, it isn't much at all. I forget how much, exactly, but it's not a lot.
If no credit, or bad credit, they will ask for up to $300, or $400 in deposit.
All deposits are returned to you in one year if you make all of your payments on time.

Then you have fee to connect your phone. This is generally around $25 or so.

You choose a phone and phone plan. They will offer you a free phone, but you can buy one of your choice. Phones range from $30 upwards to over $100. Phone plans are generally start around $40 and go up from there, depending on what all services you want.

Beware: if you break your contract before the 2 years is up, you will have to pay cancellation fees. I had a 1 year contract with TMobile, and to cancel before 1 year would have cost me over $200. I wanted to cancel in the last month of my contract, because I moved and couldn't get any signal, and it STILL would have cost me the whole fee, so I kept it for the remaining month, though I couldn't use the darn thing. :/

If you have never done business with TMobile before, I would suggest getting the 1 year contract first, to ensure you are happy with their service, because if you aren't, you are stuck for 2 years. (This goes for any phone company.)

I was pretty pleased with TMobile, though I had a hard time getting signal quite often because I lived in the sticks, and couldn't get signal when I moved, because I moved from the sticks to the logs. Their customer service reps are very, extremely friendly and helpful.

ok i moved the last 2 month of school and at my old school i was popular and could have any guy i wanted i play sports and was the president of the student counicl but at my new school i have no friends and no boyfriend and the other girls said i couldent play sports and her dad is the head of that stuff how do i get friends PLEAZE help

Well, you have to have a little patience with changing to a new school. You'll make new friends and find a boyfriend in due time. It would be nice if we could walk into a new school and right away have a lot of friends, a lot of guys, and a high social status, but it just doesn't work that way.

Get involved in the activities you were involved in at your old school. Run for student council. You were president at your old school, so you surely have the experience and credentials to prove you can do a fine job.

Get involved in sports. Don't let some bratty girl tell you that you can't because Daddy's the head of the sports. It's not for her to say- she's just trying to throw her weight around, is all.

Get involved in other extra curricular activities, as well. Even if you weren't involved before. Sports, student council, drama club, etc are ALL good ways of meeting and getting to know other students.

ok so first of all i was supposed to get it on the 4th and i was about a week late and now that i have it it's just been brown discharge for like 3 days and normally it would just be brown discharge for a day or less and then it would start with the blood. is this normal, am i just having a light cycle this month?

Yah it's very normal. If you are a teen, your menstrual cycle is doubtfully regulated, so it can change from heavy to really light, and sometimes come late, sometimes early, and on one month last 2 days, one month last 6.

Now, since you are having the discharge for 3 days rather than 1 or less, it could be a light one, but be prepared- it could be a sign of a heavy one.

No worries. You are totally fine. :)

P.S. If you ever have an abnormal period, or go an abnormal length of time without one, you should schedule yourself a pap/pelvic exam with your doctor or OB/GYN just to make sure everything is ok.

ok so im a 16/f and i need a new look for 11th grade. like i want a makeover basically. ok well see im really skinny and i need help in gaining some weight and not only that i have really bushy eyebrows. and also where should i shop and what kind of clothes should i get?

Rather than eating more, which may form a nasty habit of over eating, try protein shakes to help you gain some weight. There is a link below to some recipes you may be interested in trying.

As for bushy eyebrows, try waxing. You may want to go to a salon first, so when they start to grow back, you have a good idea of where to wax yourself to ensure you don't end up with two different shaped eyebrows.
