does high school really suck? Should I be freaking out about it, or am I just overreacting?

well, ive never been to high school but i do know some tips.

1.be nice to everyone
2.ask someone if you can sit by them at lunch
3.smile alot
4.always be friendly
5.have fun
6.dont talk about people you dont know
7.dont talk about anyone you do know.
8.laugh at stupid jokes
9.brush your teeth like 10 times
10.and last but DEFINITLY not least...be yourself

ok well there is this guy at my school he i really like him he isnt in any of my classes but gym and im too shy to talk to him lol but he knows i like him but ive never talked to him i really wont to meet him thought like talk to him... so maybe then he would go out with me but im too scared to talk to him

1. take a DEEP breath before you talk to him
2. think about wat you are going to talk to him about before hand. for exaple, what he thinks of the p.e. teahcer.
3. smile alot when you talk to him
4.laugh at his jokes even if there not funny
5.if your too nervous to do it yourself have a friend go with you when you talk to him.

I can't find the perfect boyfriend. I tried sticking to one boy but something messes it up. I just hate walking down the halls in school and see couples around me. I never tried putting myself out there,lol. Is there something wrong with me? I sometimes think I'd be lonley forever. I daydream of me in a steady,smooth relationship. alright sista, i am here to help. i know im gonna get some nasty feed back for this but you should try to look at the good in people. if that doesnt work then my only advice for you is to just keep looking. there are MANY fish in the sea so dont be sad. you'll find someone. God has a plan for you, so just trust in him and you will go far. i know i must sound like a christian freak but i went to chruch today and i found out that God will always be here for me and you! so if you feel like your not important or speical then talk to him, i garentee he will listen to you. i hope i helped.

I've been invited to a party by a girl I don't know that well and I can't decide whether to go. One one hand, I know some people who are going, and it should be fun b/c theres no parents or anything.
On the other hand, she knows some kind of... rough people, and it could turn nasty. She is always going on about how many people they beat up etc. Also she is telling everyone to bring someone, and in our neighbourhood if the local chavs (hooligans, yobs, call them what you want) might well gatecrash and beat people up.
So what do you think?

i think you should go. you never know what could happen. life is short so live it, dont just sit around and watch it pass by. if something like that happens then just call your mom or you dad or whoever to come pick you up. you cant get in to trouble for that can you? well, i hope i helped.

I am a former self-injurer, and I finally stopped cutting at the end of 8th grade (I'm going into 9th). I've been happy since the end of 8th grade and haven't had a reason to cut, or I'v refrained myself from cutting. But that's how I deal with stress. And I'm afraid I'll relapse this year from stress. I've been to therapy, and I write a lot. Is there any other way I could possibly deal with stress that isn't destructive?

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to go to the NJ shore with one of my best friends, Sam. I was very excited...each of her siblings is bringing a friend, and she chose me to go for the week with her & her family! Just today, however, she called me and was like "I just found out Catherine is coming too, is that all right?" Obviously I said yes...I wasn't going to be rude & tell her no. However Catherine is Sam's friend (their families are good friends too) and she does not go to my school. I have met her before, & she is very nice, but I really don't know her well. To be honest, I am not sure that I am so psyched to go anymore, because she is going to have Catherine there too. I know it sounds mean, & I have nothing against Catherine, but it just seemed rude that Sam never mentioned she would be there before. I BELIEVE SAM'S MOM INVITED CATHERINE'S WHOLE FAMILY, WHICH IS WHY I AM UNCOMFORTABLE. HER PARENTS ARE SORT OF "WILD" THEY DRINK A LOT AND ARE BASICALLY PARTY ANIMALS. THIS MAKES BOTH ME & MY MOM UNCOMFOTABLE. ALSO, MY DRIVING TEST IS SOON, AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRACTICE FOR THE WHOLE WEEK IF I GO. ALSO, MY SISTER & COUSINS ARE GOING FOR A FEW DAYS TO MY GRANDPARENTS HOUSE, WHICH I WOULD MISS OUT ON. I honestly don't know if I want to go anymore...I mean I am sure it would still be fun but it is just not the same. Do you think it is silly for me to be upset? Should I just go, or should I decline? I do have reasons (as noted above -more than one) of why it might not be the best idea to go, but I would also feel like sam would be upset if I didn't go. What should I do, and how do I talk to her (either way i need to talk to her).

wow, it seems like you have a pretty big problem on your hands. anyway, look, if you dont want to go then dont go. if you go you probalby wont have very much fun because cathrine and sam are gonna be hanging out alot and i bet ANYTHING your gonna feel left out. it happens to everyone one time or another. and the parents wont really be any help with your problem. i mean if they are as wild as you say they are then it could be dangerous. plus you should really practice for your driving test, bc thats really important to focas on. i dont think its silly to be upset! to tell you the truth i would be consernd if you wernt. look, just tell your friend that you cant go because you really need to work on the driving test thing. thats my opinion on it. i hope i helped and feel free to ask me anything else.
