my sister's letting me babysit her baby more and more. and i liked at at first. but now it's getting ayyoning. like last time i had to be there by 6.30 AM. im thinking of asking for 2.50 an hour,and i dont wanna be selfesh and greedy, but with her i have to be really flexible. should i charge her money, sotp whining and just do it, or just not do it at all.

I'm sorry if what I'm about to say sounds a bit on the harsh side - but you definitely deserve something for doing it. I mean, I know she's your sister, but after all, it's your time, and you are doing something for her. $2.50 an hour is not even greedy at all. It's actually a bit underpriced per hour. If I was you, wait another week or so. See if she says anything to you. If not, just say '___, well.. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but would you mind giving me a little something for watching the baby because I could use some spare money whenever you have it - even if it's once or twice a month.' From there, you are giving her the option to give whatever she feels you deserve, and you aren't really putting her on the spot. what are good ways to exersise and burn a whole lot of colories in a little bit of time

Hey ♥ Believe it or not, yoga, which doesn't require a ton of energy, burns a lot of calories. Tennis, swimming, running, and tae-bo are also GREAT alternatives =]

im going to the mall tomorrow to by new clothes and i was wonderin if there are any other stores like hot topic or stores that arent really "preppy"?

Hey - unfortunately I don`t know the name of the mall you are going to, nor the stores there - but here`s my advice - window shop. If you like what you see, go take a look =]Sometimes, even a store that might seem preppy.. has alternatives that are really cool, or atleast a cool T-shirt =]. And even if the store looks so-so, just check it out! Trust me, I`ve seen my share of stores that looked crappy, but found great pieces of clothing that you could never tell where they are from =] MOST malls have Delia`s..and trust me, MOST of the stuff is preppy.. but they have changed ALOT over the years, so go check it out =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥

Okay, I'm 13 and i'm 5'0 (yeah im small!) and i weigh about, lets see 60-70 pounds. And I'm very concerned about it. Do you think I'm TERRIBALLY under-weight, or just little low?

And also, I HATE milk, so I dont drink that.
I eat alot of meat.. probally 3 times a week.
I eat ALOT of junk foods... i'd suspect to be fat by now.
I drink alot of soda, if that helps. And water also.

Last time I had a check-up, I was 12, and I weighed about 58 pounds.
And everyone is jellous for some reason that I'm that weight.

So, can I have your advice on how to gain about 10 pounds? I'm really into your advice, I'll read it thougly, completly untill im 100% okay with it and rate it what it deserves!

Hey! I think you're somewhat in the middle of being terribly underweight, but you are also just extremely petite. I have a best friend who is 5'1 and she weighs about 85 lbs. I'm 5'1 myself, and I HATE milk. There's loads of alternatives to getting the calcium you need, like cheese, ice cream, and maybe if your doctor okays it, they have those calcium chews in chocolate. With the meat, eating meat is good because it will nourish your body very well. As for the junk food - it sounds like you just have an excellent metabolism. Drinking soda is okay, but drinking water is even better - it keeps your system healthy. Everyone is jealous because - let's face it, most teenage girls are very unhappy with their bodies. There WAS an article in Seventeen or Cosmogirl a few months ago on how to gain weight healthy [from what I remember its basically good portions, and adding lots of foods that 'bulk' the weight on quickly and healthly]. You can try searching the archives on the magazine websites. If you can't find it - let me know, I will look for you =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥

Hey Tiff!
I just started using Cetaphil face wash (I used to use it a while back) and it seems to be making my face very tight and overly dry and flakey. Is this normal for just starting it? Am i using the wrong temp. of water or putting too much on? HELP!!!

Hm, it usually SHOULDN`T do that. Wet your face with like lukewarm water first, put some on, and don`t leave it on too long. I notice that if I leave it on for longer than a minute, my face itches a little bit, but don`t put a lot on either. Use a little bit nad sorta rub it in. Hope it works for ya =]

what are some quick and easy ways to lose 10 pounds?

Swimming/running/volleyball/tennis, and cutting back on junk food/ not eating late at night will help you loose 10 pounds healthy and quickly! Tae-Bo also works WONDERS, try buying a DVD of it =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥

In any store or local pharmacy, they USUALLY sell kits to help it go away, but you might want to see your family health council just in case and see what he or she says first. ok so i really want to know if this guy likes me.i swim and he is on my swim team, and like when we go underwater he always smiles at me and waves, and when we do drylands he always pats me on the back or playfully hits my arm, and when we kick and stuff like that we always talk the whole way. i mean he is great, he is nice to me and everyone else, he is actualy my height and everyone likes him. whenever we go to swim meets he tells me to cheer for him because he wont do well unless i do. and he asks me to hold stuff and he just goofs around w/ me and he talks to my friends a lot. does he like me?

There is a DEFINITE high chance of him liking you, but don`t get your hopes up just yet. Try flirting back and seeing what happens. Ask him if he wants to go see a movie with you - that should definitely tell as well, because he`d be alone with you for the movie, or you can invite friends and ask him to sit with you. ok so im trying to lose 5 pounds but i go to so many pool parties and 4th of july parties. how do i stop myself from eating all the junk at the party, like chips,soda,chocolate,cake,ice cream ahhhhhhhhhhh its sooooo hard. please help!!!!!!!!!

It`s extremely hard to resist junk food at parties, especially when the party is for celebrating a holiday infamous for food. Unfortunately, you just have to look at the food and ask yourself if the food is worth the extra lbs. Before going to a party, eat a small healthy snack, such as fruit, and don`t even bother looking at the food, or don`t eat before you go and eat in small portions - small portions won`t make you gain as much weight, after all it is just a holiday treat. If you`d like, bring a vegetable or fruit platter to a party and see how it goes over - and even if you`re like, the only one eating it, which I doubt because everyone wants to stay trim, fit, AND healthy, you had a healthy alternative at an awesome party =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥ and if you need anything else, feel free to message =]

Can one get sick from eating old graham crackers? They're probably about 3 months old, and I guess the package was left open. haha They're not dusty, but they're soft and chewy, very bizzare...

You won`t get SICK as in hospital sick, but you might feel a bit queasy.

I was working on Friday night with this guy, and he was sick the whole night, he shouldn't have even been at work but my boss wouldn't let him leave. So, it turns out he has mono. And I remember I accidently drank one of his drinks that night, and I'm really worried that I'm going to get it. How long does mono normally take to set it, and what are the symptoms?

My cousin had mono a few years ago. You will feel extremely weak, sluggish, tired, and not really that hungry. It`s pretty much the symptoms of the flu. Mono takes different times to set for different people, but just watch out and stay rested since you are at very high risk. If you do get the symptoms, go immediately to the doctor. Unfortunately to say, mono lasts anywhere from like a month - a few months :-/ Hope I`ve Helped ♥

It really depends on what state you live in and what the store hiring policy is. My friend is 14 and she has had a job at a local Blimpie`s since maybe April or May [I live in NJ]. Most places start hiring at age 15 though, but next time you are at Wal-Mart to go to Customer Service or ask to speak to a Manager or someone who knows about Employment and qualifications. My bro is in iraq and its hard to deal with cause one of his friends was killed and the other one shot last week. how should i deal with it?

It must be so hard to be going through this right now. I honestly can`t imagine what you`re going through. There is no exact way to get over it and deal with it, but you have to talk about it, don`t keep it bottled up. Confide in a family member or very close friend, and if you can`t express your emotions through them, get a journal online or for you to write in for just your eyes. i dont feel myself lately. i dont like me. i cant sleep. i cry for no reason. im really mean to people around me. this year my grades went from A's and B's...to all F's.

Don`t feel ashamed or nervous on how to tell your mom. Just do it. Once you do it, you`ll feel sooo much better. Just sit her down, or when you are alone with her, say "Mom, can we talk?" And explain that lately, you aren`t yourself and how you truly feel. Your mom will support you in every way - you`re her daughter. Just do it, get it over with, and you`ll feel SO much better. I don`t think you`re abusive, but maybe it`s more of a nervous reaction. Not that you`re nervous or anything, but it`s just an automatic thing you do to signal them to sorta stop. Next time someone gets on your nerves or whatever, just simply say "Stop it okay." and if they don`t get the point, just walk away so you don`t hit them. 13/f--->Hey guys, i have a weight problem, i weigh about 215 and well i never realized how fat i was until i really looked in the mirror. I started to run and im doing volleyball so we have to run for like 2 and a half hours straight and i'm going to start excersizing with my friend.I also don't drink any soda or eat junk food now. Do you guys have any ideas, i know youve seen so many of these, but im talking about motivation. Also any websites, ive heard of teentone

Hey - you might notbe overweight actually, if you`re tall. Try finding a BMI calulator by using www.ask.com. You type in your height and weight and it tells you if it`s a healthy weight and what your healthy weight is.

You`re doing PERFECT with the volleyball and running! Drink loads of water (8 glasses a day if you can, unfortunately, teas don`t count). Don`t eat late at night (that causes belly buldge). Try going to a health food or all natural grocery store, since the products are better for you- they might be a bit more expensive though, but it`s worth it! Look for things low in trans fat + cholestrol as well =]

For motivation, treat yourself to something every so many pounds you drop. Or ask your mom or someone else to try to do that for you =]

For websites, I don`t know any more besides the one you mentioned, but read SEVENTEEN magazine, they ALWAYS have an easy, very effective excersize pull-out AND a little guide on how to eat healthy or a little diet plan for the month!
