Q: I am really bored.People tell me to get a life.How do I do that.Please tell me how I should get a life,get rid of my boredom,meet new people and make new friends. Any answers are appreciated

The Internet is a mighty place and most of you know the social sites already. Sites like hi5, Orkut and Facebook help you network, meet new friends and strengthen old relations.

Take a walk

Sometimes, meeting new people is easier than it looks. Just go out for a walk and maybe you'll find a person who could turn out to be a great friend on the streets or at the nearby park. Bumping into people can be a positive thing. Moreover, walks are a way through which you can get fit and exercise.

Hobbies and pastime

It is a good way to find people with your own interests. There are hobby clubs in the city and hence joining these could serve you a dual purpose — of building a social circle and pursuing your hobby.

Team effort

Team sports are a great way to socialise. They build team spirit in you and, as you continue to play with and against each other, there is a bond that builds which can sometimes last a lifetime.

Course through

Learning a new thing with a new person may then make that new person your new friend. Learning is a rewarding experience and so is meeting new friends. When you join a language course there is a possibility that you end up making new friends and also learning the language more effectively.

Group culture

Join a group of some sort with which you have a common goal. Try joining that society as a way to be around people with the same passions and wishes as yourself. It does wonders to your sense of identity too.

Be more visible

Maybe you already have a number of acquaintances but very few friends. Maybe that's because you are less visible as a person who is into meeting new friends. Try a makeover, some chatting with your colleagues and new actions that will represent you; this will help you a great deal because people will know what you are like.

Venture out

You won't meet a whole lot of people by sitting in the confines of your home. You need to be more active, go out, have dinner at restaurants, go into clubs, go to the cinema — anything that will help you meet interesting people.

Something’s different

As a famous song says, start wearing purple today. Bring some changes in your life. Change is good for you and they will help you cope with a lot of life's unpredictabilities. With all those changes, you'll find new friends, and maybe even some best friends.

Q: I need your help deciding what the ideal menu for a public dinner would be.

Not knowing what would be the best dishes to serve is making this an impossible task.

If you will tell me your favorite foods, or point me to your favorite recipes, it would really help a lot.

You can list as many things as you like. They don't have to be fancy things at all. I am all about the comfort food baby! :)

This will be a mixed group of people so I would like to have something for everyone.

Cooking for a banquet is not as hard as trying to figure out WHAT to cook!

ok hey, I have this really annoying cousin that thinks she's WAY better than everyone else. especially me.

ex: ok, like, whenever i get a bf and bring him over to the house to meet my mom or whatever, she'll constantly flirt with him and try to get him alone and certain stuff like that, just to boost her ego and pretty much show me that she can get any guy i can.

another ex: ok, so...we both sing, which is REALLY bad 'cause she always gets pissed if anyone says i sing better. like one day, me and her were sitting on my bed talking and her mom comes in and says "hey can you sing me a song" so of course, she leaps for the chance and starts singing and as soon as she does, her mom was like, "no marisa, i was talking to Nikki. maybe you can sing backup" and almost instantly (she needed a few seconds to let the shock blow over) she says " THERE IS NO WAY IM SINGING BACKUP FOR ANYONE!!!! ESPECIALLY NOT HER!!!!"

and she's always bragging about herself in some way like " omigod!!! Im like, sooo gonna start my own band and get all these super hott emo guys to be in it and of course, IM gonna be the lead singer!!! hahaha!!!" and then she calls herself fat just to hear people say shes skinny. and frankly, im just getting absolutely sick of it!!! Is there ANY way possible i can prove that she's normal, just like everyone else??? she's really getting on my nerves!!

There has to be a reason why she acts the way she does.It will not change overnight just because she "matures".Do you live with her?If you do it is very important to have a good relationship with her,othervise,it is not that important but it is still important.If not,she seems to be stressing you out too.She obvioously suffers from low self esteem.If you are troubled by such a troubled person,it will have negative effects on you.You should talk to her and try to sort everything out.You are human and have human emotion so you will have to try to not be accusing and to be kind.She needs to be shown kindness,exceptance and love.Remember,people are not born mean and like her.Her experiences have made her like this.When talking to her,you will have to be her therapist(lets face it,she obviously needs one).But mabye you shouldn't openly tell her you're being her therapist.Therapists just ask people question and come up with more questions from their answers.If you don't live with her and none of this works you could just avoid her.

But that's nothing weird or unusual to a man.
To men swear words are just words.To women they are insults.
The words "F*ck you" probbably meant totlaly different things to you and him.
YOU THOUGHT he meant "We hate you"
HE PROBABLY REALLY MEANT "hello"
It's just a silly little habbit of his.It doesn't mean anything.He might say this to a person one day and give them his kidney the next.

If he is annoying you,he probably just wants your attention.You could keep some time for him and play with him or take him out some where.Keep some time for yourself too.Get out or sit in your room.You could find him some one else to play with.

You could try talking to someone.Try keeping a journal or a diary and write about how you feel and what makes you feel like that.Never keep you feelins bottled up.Ask yourself if you are really satisfied with you life.Ask you self when you felt the happiest(constantly).Repeat to yourself "I'll be allright".Play music,draw,paint, try letting your feelings out through art forms.

Stretch marks are normal at your age.You can get them from
1)Puberty
2)excessive amounts of a hotmone called cortisol
3)weight loss/shrinkage of skin for whatever cause
there may be other causes I'm not aware of but stretch marks are common at your age and you don't have any thing to worry about.

Q: I'm 13/F, barely 5'2, and about 112lbs. I know my weight is fine for my height and age and everything, but i really have a lack of self confidence... ever since i was little i was this super skinny tiny little girl. Now I'm getting much fatter. My stomach just has soo much fat on it. I'd just like to tone it down, and keep it flatter, maybe get some abs. Summer is almost here, and I go to high school in august. I know i need to exercise, but eating is my problem too. I eat alot of junk food, and i am a very picky eater. I don't eat meat, fish, poltury(chicken, etc). I also dont eat beans, nuts, or vegtables! (i'll eat potatoes, raw carrots, and that's it.) The thing is i mainly eat breads, dariy, and some fruits. I know this kind of eating is also not helping my body. i can try to force myself to eat like salads and stuff, but it's so hard beacause i end up almost throwing up. I'm also stressed most of the time, and very busy. I have minimal time to exercise, and not alot of resources. I have an ab thingy called the ab scissors... but i dont like it very much. I'm also not familar with how to do good exercises. So what are some ways i could lose so weight, but mostly loose my excess fat???? Thanks!! I'll be sure to rate good, thoughtful, helpful answers.
