Oily Skin.
I'm 13, I've had very oily skin since I was 10 *including the black heads and pimples* I've tried so many products such as clean & clear, noxema, ponds, clearisil, (all those otc products) but nothing works to clear it up. I want to go to the derm. but we have no money for it, there for no money for Proactive either. What should I do, is there anything yall recomend ?

i really recommend-benzol peroxide 5% acne gel.it takes a while to work,but its in all of those expensive skin care products (benzol peroxide is the main thing in all acne medications) its a percription though-you just have to go to your doctor,not a derma. or try this [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Garnier blemish pen zaps away blemishes by drying them.Put a bottle of rose water in the fridge.Soak a towel in it and put it on your face

I say you should go to a spa and get a facial. They remove all black heads,pimples,and they give you samples to use on your kind of skin

I would recomend St.ives..black head scrub and facial wash..Or even do a facial mask once in awhile..Use the balck head stuff in the mourning an the facial scrub at night..it works for me

i was right there with you and then i managed to talk my mom into taking me to the derm. and he recomended a couple things. one are these pills call tetrocyclin and they work so good its scary and then anything that has the ingrediant benzyol peroxide in it with a high percent (around 5% is good)

proactive works pretty well..
it seems to give you more pimples at one time...not major though...and after that you get pretty cleared up.
its my favorite.

At like Walgreens and those kinds of stores they sell these acne pill things and I've heard that they work really good. You take them once a day and they're supposed to take away your acne. They come in a really big bottle and it's like $20 so it's not that expensive. Hope this helps!!!

I completely feel your pain. I had and still sometimes have very oily skin. Let's just say i hate it. As im sure you do too. I use proactive and it works great. But i know that's not really an option for you right now. About the dermatologist, why can't you go? Don't you have medical insurance? If you do then don't worry the dermatologist would be free. Umm but i still really think you should try proactive. Try saving up money for it or something. Umnm lets see the only thing i could recommend for you besides Proactive would have to be stridex day nd night. It's the only product that i have gotton from a pharmacy that has worked.

Otherwise then that i can give you so helpful tips on how to control your oily skin.
1. Cleanse only two or three times at the very most with a product made for your skin type
2. Drink lots of water
3. Don't skip sunscreen. Many women with oily skin foregot face lotion. But everyone, no matter what her skin type, needs sunscreen. Use a gel SPF formula.
4. Avoid moisturizing makeup. Foundation for older skin is usually formulated to be moisturizing, which means it contains oils and humectants that your skin doesn't need. Instead, choose an oil-free foundation.
5. change your pill case every two days, so that all the dirt won't be put back on your face everynight.

get a job like babysitting or cleaning or save your birthday money and christmas money save it and then you can go to the proactive and whille your waiting for the money put tons of makeup on to cover up BUT WASH OFF AT NIGHT!!! remember dring soda causes that and leaving makeup on over night and not washing your face EVERYDAY!!maybe TWICE a DAY!!hope i helped rate high please
