Throwing up!

Everyone at my school is calling me fat! The last time I checked the scale I weighed 144 pounds! But I gain weekly! I hate my weight! I am very self consious and I've tryed diets but they haven't been working. So lately I have been making myself throw up after very meal! Is it really that harmful? This seems like my last resourt! What should I do! My friends are worrying sick about me! The only thing wrong with this is that it makes me feel kindly weak! But mostly when I get hot or something! What should I do?

Thanks for all yalls advice! I have finally decided to go to the gym and cut back on junk food instead of killing myself a little bit everyday! Thanks! It truly means alot that people I dont even know care as much to help me!

Throwing up after you eat can lead to a disease called bulimia; bulimia is VERY hard to overcome.

Physical problems from throwing your food up:

Not getting enough nutrients
Rotting the enamel on your teeth
Causing abrasions in your throat
Abrasions can lead to throat cancer
Dizziness
Fainting
Hair falling out
Heart problems

And the list goes on and on and on...

Sometimes people overeat because they feel anxious or sad - and it sounds like the people in your school aren't making things easy for you. But it ALSO sounds like you have a great group of friends who really care about you.

144 is not obsese. Depending on your height, that's not even overweight.

A good strategy could be to stop gaining weight, but not actively seek to lose weight. Toning exercises can sleeken the look of your body, giving you a really healthy look (and making your muscles healthier!).

You really need to stop thinking about what other people think. Be happy with what you have. And throwing up isn't going to help you in the long run. I suggest that you stop it.

Check out MyPyramid.com and enter in the information about you. It will give you a guide of how to eat to be healthy. Also, if you want to lose weight also excersize.

What you're doing is making becoming bulimic, and yes, it's serious. There's a good number of teens who suffer from it, and there are ways to reverse it.

It's serious enough that there's the chance that you could end up in the hospital. Also, you're starving yourself of proper nutrition, and your body can't function with no nutrition, nutrition that you eat and then throw up again.

The other thing about forcing yourself to throw up is that it's bad for your teeth. The acid from your stomach eats away at your teeth and the result is cavities that need to be filled.

If you want to lose weight, your best option is to talk to your parents or a doctor and go on a monitored diet.

Show them you don't mind being called fat.Show of that you are clever than them and have much better insults and fat jokes by making fat jokes about yourself so that it'll will not be fun teasing you because you've allready beat them to the end of the line.this is a weird way to loose weigh but its worth a try. i read in the newspaper about a V.J who ate as much as 5-6 people and he was not fat he wondered why.then he found out it was because every night he had nightmares.the next day in the same newspaper coloumn i read that when you have night terror you wake up scared and PERSPIRING why do you think you perspire if you don't burn up calories?you do burn up calories when you have nightmares.so stick monster pictures in your room.but if you don't belive me take up something like swimming or tennis.you put limits on junk food and eat healthy.give yourself a junk food reward after you've allready excercised and burned up more calories.there is a difference between dieting and not being a pig.dieting always causes eating disorders.don't even think of dieting

Not only is forcing yourself to vomit unhealthy in general, it's an eating disorder. This may seem like a last resort, but it should not be any resort at all.
Part of the dangers of doing that is that your body will get used to vomiting after every meal, and then you won't be able to keep anything down.
YOU NEED NUTRIENTS. Food is not your enemy. Food is fuel. It keeps you going, if you eat the right things. You get weak because your body has no nutrients in it.
Not to mention the fact that vomiting constantly is like rinsing your mouth with stomach acid. It eats away at the enamel on your teeth, it can damage your throat, it can damage your digestive tract...there are a lot more dangers than you're taking into consideration.
The first step you need to take is to admit that you have a problem.
The second step you need to take is to stop thinking you're fat. 144 doesn't seem too bad. I have a friend who's 5'4" and weighs 150, and she's gorgeous. She's not as skinny as she wants to be, but she loves herself and that's all that matters. She loves herself for who she is, the way she is.
Stop listening to everyone at school. "Everyone" is an idiot. The only opinion that needs to matter to you is YOURS. Not your friends', not your teachers, yours.
I understand that you're self conscious, but you know what? If you keep looking in the mirror and going "Ew, I'm ugly and fat and disgusting," you will convince yourself that you are ugly and fat and disgusting. I speak from experience.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself "I am beautiful, and I am perfect as I am."
Corny, maybe, but seriously do it.
I had the lowest self esteem ever for such a long time, and then I realized that I needed to stop criticizing myself and start complimenting myself. There were enough people out there doing the criticizing for me - I didn't need to add to it.
I look in the mirror every day now and say to myself "You're beautiful. You're sexy. You're confident. Show the world what you're made of," smile, and walk out.

stop puking, nOW! you shouldnt take things like that so seriously, alot of people in your life are going to say as much as they can to make you feel bad about yourself, cuz they wanna feel good about themselves. I've gotten alot of shit said to me in my life but i really dont let that get me down, even my closest friends ssay bad stuff about me! I just think about the good things in life and then i get high (off life). listen to music and shit. and toughen up a little jeez, youre going to let people talk to you like that. Who do you wanna be, the; little girl who cries in her room all day or the girl who doesnt let anything get in her way? Good luck.
