i feel alone and overwhlemed because of my food addiction Posted Sunday February 20 2022, 10:42 am
Hello, I'm a 13 year who constantly indulges in food as long as I'm craving them. multiple times I've tried to instantly quit eating bwetween meals and tried to swap them for things like fruits but I always go back to square one. I've brought this issue up with my parents that they should buy less junk food because it's always a source of temptation for me. but all i was told by my mum was to "control" myself. but thats not really helping me anymore. I end up suffering in silence on days when it gets really bad. I ALSO struggle with being short in height and also my weight which does not help at all.
Is there any solutions?
is there anyone in the same boat as me?

I am in my early thirties. I was born with a super fast metabolism. It didn't really bother me when I was a little girl but I do remember people commenting on how much I ate.
In high school I noticed it much more and in college I became self conscious and even a little worried. I ate so much more than everyone else and everyone thought it was weird. I did a lot of athletics in college and I ate around 7000 calories a day. People would ask all kinds of questions and some people thought I had an eating disorder. It was really annoying. I talked to a doctor and a nutritionist about it but no cause was found - the same as with my family doctor growing up.

Hi I'm a 25/f, and I have a super busy life working and taking care of my one year old. My job is very later back so I'm not as active as I'd like to be, and my diet is extremely bad. I would love to make healthy meals at home, however my living situation makes that extremely difficult. My place doesn't have a kitchen, and the only way to make anything is to buy premade, or microwave it... I feel like surviving off microwave meals would be the death of me. What could I do to make this easier on me?

Ok so I’m 2017 I had a problem with menstrual cycle where I bled more than 21 days each month for like 3-4 months .The problem was that I had offset my system because I purged myself too much. I was given birth control but it only worked for a few days and then I went to a private doctor and I was giiven pills that lower sugar level. I forgot the name . I took it for a week and everything went back to normal . I haven’t had any issues since a but during that time I lost some weight and I only gain back a few . I lost alot of weight really fast and also lost muscle mass and I wanted to know the best way to gain it back in the right places again. I figure in exercise also bit what kind and what vitamins for a bigger butt and bust with smaller waste.

I’m a 13 year old girl and I’m trying to lose weight. Recently I got back from a vacation and was a little jet lagged and I don’t like coffee so I thought I’d try a cup of tea to keep me awake and I’ve started to have a cup of tea every night while I’m sitting in bed reading etc. Is this bad for me? Will it get in the way of me losing weight?

I’m trying to get some more fruit into my diet and I was looking for some really good smoothie recipes. I am in highschool so I don’t have a lot of time in the morning to be cutting up fresh fruit and I’m kinda picky so my mom won’t by me any fruit unless she knows I’ll eat it so I’m looking for basic fruit smoothies. I’m 13 and over weight and was trying to find away for me to eat more fruit and less unhealthy snacks and I thought I would try smoothies but I was wondering if having too many smoothies would be bad. I was thinking because I’m in high school I could quickly make a smoothie for breakfast and take it with me and then maybe another one after school? Is that too many? Should I have more? I’ll make another question about possible recipes.

I have recently found out that I have failed 5/6 of my high school fitness tests meaning I have to take a 3rd year of p.e. due to a new law next year. My counseler said I am to sign a waiver when I turn 16 next year and I won't have to take it. Now I have come to realize that I am not flexible enough to touch my own toes without having your knees bent and can't even do a push up or sit up due to my lack of upper body stength. I have decided that since I am not going to take p.e. anymore I have to take matters of losing fat and gaining muscle into my own hands. Since I don't know how to drive and have no money the Gyms out. So I decided to workout at home with youtube videos that go through the the workouts. Now I have the workout part down ...

I've had symptoms of severe anorexia for a while (never diagnosed, but lost a bunch of weight), and now I need to gain a bunch of weight before my next pediatrician appointment in the summer. Right now I'm 5'5 and 68 lbs and last year I was 92 lbs. I just recently stopped doing 4 hours of cardio exercise every day, about two weeks ago. And I was also on "high restriction" for a few months, eating only 500 calories a day, sometimes less. Last week I was more like 600-800 calories, and yesterday I got up to 1000, maybe a little less. Where should I go from here? Would it be safe to eat more than 1200? And should I continue to increase? (How much?) Any other advice?? I really don't want to go to the hospital. Thanks in advance!

So, I have this school thing that I'll be performing in. I embarrassed myself last year and I feel like this is my one chance to make that up. My friend gave me her old uniform last year and said I could have it and she would get a new one. So today's that last day and my tracher has already gone, the performance is in about 3 days. My old uniform does not fit me anymore, and I didn't ask my teacher about it since I have the one my friend gave me. I cannot get a new one now. At the end of school today my friend said she needed her old uniform back. So now, I have to try and fit Into my old uniform that doesn't fit. I've decided to starve myself to at least try and fit into it and not look disgusting. I know it may seem drastic, but I cannot...

I am a 27 year old female and I am 5'2 and I weigh 185 pounds my doctor says that I need to lose 60 pounds to be at the correct weight for height and I need to know what's the healthiest way to do this. I need to get to 130 pounds to be healthy.

Does anyone know if its okay to take a birth control pill at a different time of the day if not sexually active?
I wanted to start taking my pills at night rather than the day. The only problem is that I am worried because I have read multiple times that I have to take it at the same time of day. I am not currently sexually active, as I have just started the pill but I will be. I just wanted to switch from taking the pill in the morning to the evening.

This afternoon my family thought that it would be a good day to have a cookout. We had plenty of food left over and I decided to have the last burger we cooked before going to bed. Well, I noticed something sitting inside this pit that looked very suspicious. It looked like a cluster of eggs or larva. It wasn't moving or anything, but it made me a bit paranoid about what was in the meat we used to make the burgers everyone ate. My dad told me not to worry about it, that if it was some sort of parasite it'd be dead. I really don't feel good about it though, and I don't know what we should do. Should we just wait to see what happens??

I just started checking my glucose levels to see if I may be hypoglycemic or if I have overactive insulin. I'm not exactly sure what I should be looking for or what I should be concerned about so any help would be great! Last night I checked my glucose level it was 77. This was before I ate but within 3 hours of a snack and a soda. This morning about 10 minutes after a meal it was 118 and then two hours after the meal it was 81. Is this normal? How can I better monitor it and what should I be looking for / paying attention to?

I recently started this new diet and I have been exercising a lot. Now I am 5 days late on my period. My boyfriend and I decided to wait til I am a week late to get a test. I started this diet 5 days about and lost 5 pounds. I feel really pressured to do this diet. I have actually done well and stuck to it for once. I am an athlete but it is extremely hard for me to lose my belly fat because My family is all diabetic and they think I am too. I also am going through an extremely stressful time with my stepmom. That causes me to stress eat. I am not ready for a baby. Is it possible for my new diet to have delayed my period?
