Sima answered Thursday August 13 2009, 12:27 pm: I use Tampons. My favorite brand of all time would be the 'Equate' super tampons. They're so cheap and you get a ton of them. I've tried almost every single brand that they have on the market, but that one is the best.
katerinche_xx answered Tuesday August 11 2009, 7:10 am: I personally wear pads, I dont really like the idea of tampons :P
I really like the ones from libra called, ultra goodnights. The packet is purple I think. I love these ones because they catch everything. I don't like the "invisible" or "ultra thins" ones because they move around and my undies end up catching more blood then the pad.
I can't really help you out with tampons because I've never used them before and because ones that might fit me might be uncomfortable for you.
The new tampons with the little wings sound alright but it's really up to you, that's just my opinion.
I hope I helped.
Take care,

della22 answered Saturday August 1 2009, 8:05 pm: Generally when you first get your period, you will use only pads for the first 1-2 years. This is just because your younger and your body isn't ready for the tampon yet. Then once you get to a certain age you begin to start to use tampons.
Tampons can be great if you play a sport, like to swim or be in the water, or are just overall active throughout the day because its easier to use.
The pad is good for at night, when your sleeping, or just laying around the house. You cant leave a tampon in for too long, or else it could possibly be bad for you.
But it is all about preference. i prefer the tampon [ della22's advice column | Ask della22 A Question ]
NiiShaBayBiie09 answered Saturday August 1 2009, 12:06 pm: I use always pads because 1. Tampons are dangerous and kan mess up your vagina in some ways and 2. Always pads donates their money tO charities and 3. They're comfortable and holds better [ NiiShaBayBiie09's advice column | Ask NiiShaBayBiie09 A Question ]

I like playtex gentle glide, they are comfortable.
SWEETXLOVE answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 7:15 pm: hey! i use tampons, they are most deff. the best thing ever invented. and i use tampax pearl, which is amazing!
yes, it's scary for the first time putting it in but do NOT use the cardboard ones, use the plastic ones (:
once you get the hang of putting them in, feels like theres nothing even there!
JustJessOx answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 7:13 pm: hey there, well It depends. I use both, but when I first started my period I only wore pads for the first year until I thought I was ready to use tampons.
It all depends on which you prefer yourself, you have to try both to decide everyones different some girls might then pads work best others tampons.
tampons are the better option if your going swimming or going out to a party or anything like that. =)
but yea i mostly use the pads unless i have to wear tampons for reasons like that
hope I helped, anymore questions please ask!
much <3

My pads are never the same, I mostly use the brand Always though. & for tampons, i use Tampax. The lighter days of my period i use tampons but the heavier days i use pads. :) [ iiLOvEyOux3's advice column | Ask iiLOvEyOux3 A Question ]

I don't really have a preference between pads or tampons, honestly. I'd say that most of my girl friends use tampons because it's easier and it doesn't feel like you're wearing a diaper.
As for good brands, they're all pretty much the same? But if you're just starting out with tampons, try the smallest size so you can get used to it.
xokristabelle answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 12:37 pm: If I'm going somewhere I use tampons, if I'm just hanging out at home or sleeping I use pads(sometimes they can make you smell a little). Always Infinity with wings and Tampax Pearl are good. [ xokristabelle's advice column | Ask xokristabelle A Question ]
lacexface answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 12:24 pm: Hey, I wear pads, I've never really worn tampons (don't care for them) but the kind of pads I use are Stay Free Maxi, they work amazing. They also come in over night so they're larger for when you go to sleep and don't leak. I usually get the ones with wings, they stay in place better. As for tampons, I've heard the best brand is Playtex, especially Playtex Sport because they allow you to be active and move around better.
AskAndy answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 11:55 am: I use pads maxi pads and I never leak, and trust me, my flow is heavy! Always Maxi Overnight Extra Heavy Flow is the best pad ever to use when you sleep, or on a heavy day, and even when your taking some long test and you can't change your pad. They have regular wings and backup wings in the back. Stayfree has a pad similar to that so you won't leak but its for a regular flow day. Stayfree Overnight Maxi With Wings is what it's called and it's awesome. It has a nightguard zone and 18 anti leak channels and it says so on the package. They often have odor neutralizers too. Those are my favorites. On light days or when your period is tapering off, any pantiliner or thin, or even small pad will do! [ AskAndy's advice column | Ask AskAndy A Question ]
sweeethoney answered Tuesday July 28 2009, 11:08 am: i use tampons, mostly because i wear shorts or thongs so that makes pads hard to wear.
my favorite kind of tampon is tampax pearl. you can barely feel it in you and i rarely rarely leak.
if you play sports you might want to use playtex sport, but not when youre super heavy because it can leak.
make sure you get the right absorbancy. if this is youre first times usin tampons then i highly doubt you get the super ones, because they might hurt you when they are inside.
change them every 4-5 hours, but depend it on how heavy your flow is.
