BUT he hates sin. the reason why there're some many againist gays, is because in the bible it calls it an abomination before God. it's of satan himself, i belive. another example from the bible, no where in the bible, when it talks about marriage, and how the partners are suppose to act, DOES IT mention a man with a man, or a woman with a woman. it only talks about a man with a woman. it also says that sex is only suppose to be done to make kids, and kids only. and not done for just pleasure. well thats another strike againist the gays. for they CAN NOT! make children. hope this helps.
stephanerd answered Sunday November 12 2006, 5:12 pm: Well, the saying goes "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" but he also made Adam and Eve white. So, black people, Asians, Hispanics, Indians, Native Americans, and all other different skin colors are also abominations, apparently. But according to Leviticus, pretty much everything is an abomination, such as going out in public while on your period, and even ejaculating. I'm straighter than a 2 by 4 but I support gay rights as well, and church just pisses me the heck off sometimes. [ stephanerd's advice column | Ask stephanerd A Question ]
ComplicatedParadise answered Monday October 16 2006, 1:31 pm: God told us homosexuality is wrong. Its is sinful, god created man and woman to create life. Its in gods word, and he said anyone who goes against his word does not obey him and he said they belong to satan, they may fool you and be the nicest people, but you can still go to hell doing good deeds and thinking good thoughts, if you dont obey christ your lost. Tom_Foolery answered Friday September 29 2006, 5:54 am: Being a Christian myself, I can say that I don't dislike homosexuals or hate them at all. I'm not even one to speak out against them and say "You're wrong. You're going to Hell." A lot of people in the country are stereotyping most Christians as hardcore conservative Bible thumpers. While there are a good group of them in our United of States, they're not necessarily right all the time. God does love everyone, but if in our hearts we're sinning against Him and don't care...I believe we'll be allowed into Heaven. The Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin. Biggest sin? Not sure if there is much difference in sin in the eyes of God. Of course that's my own belief. Seriously, get down and read the Bible yourself and don't bias yourself on what other people say about it. Most people haven't even read it. They simply play off of stereotype and what they've seen and heard from the Christians they know. Read through the Gospels (Matthew-John) and then a few of the letters to the early churches from Paul (Other books in the NT). I recommend the New King James Version and don't take offense to the Bible calling homosexuality wrong, b/c in the end...its just trying to help. Take it how you will. Have fun =D. heatherniffer answered Monday August 14 2006, 4:27 am: "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; that is an abomination"
that is a direct quote from my bible..i had the same question and asked one of my youth group leaders and they gave me this. basically what this verse is saying is that a man should not be with another man like he should be with a woman. God does love everyone its just that he doesnt love everything we do. homosexuality is a sin. [ heatherniffer's advice column | Ask heatherniffer A Question ]
lyonzrule answered Saturday August 12 2006, 5:27 am: man shall leave his father and mother, and be made one with his wife; and the two shall become one flesh
You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; that is an abomination
Also I have a question for you. If God wanted us to be gay, why did he make a male and a female, why not just make 2 guys or 2 girls? Not trying to be rude, just something to think about. [ lyonzrule's advice column | Ask lyonzrule A Question ]
BitsandPieces answered Friday August 11 2006, 4:38 pm: If a particular religion/person reads the Bible and believes it to be the Holy word of God, then there are many, many things that they are reading in the Bible that are sins according to God in that Bible. A "sin" is anything that is wrong according to God. God is said to love us despite our all being sinners. Sin is what is wrong for humans according to God. The Bible says that we are all sinners, and He loves us anyway. Followers of God are told to be loving towards all people and NOT judgemental or hateful. Anyone using God or the Bible to be mean is commiting a sin themselves! There is no such thing as the "biggest sin" or "the unforgiveable sin." The only thing that separates humans from their Creator God of the Bible is a continual refusal to believe in God and accept His plan of eternal Salvation (Jesus). Being hetrosexual, bisexual, or homosexual will be of no concern in Heaven according to the Bible, because there is no marriage or sex or difference between male and female in eternity. Sex is a temporary thing apparently and unnecessary in the afterlife. [ BitsandPieces's advice column | Ask BitsandPieces A Question ]
orphans answered Thursday August 10 2006, 3:21 am: i agree, i get soo mad when my freinds are like "anti gays" and stuff like that. i dont know much about religion and dont intend on learning about it. i dont think being gay is wrong, and you dont, so i think thats all that matters.
some people would tell me i dont believe in god, which i dont, but saying that im not against gays isnt saying "you arent against gays, so you must not believe in god".
uisforukelele answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 8:58 pm: i don't understand it either. in the bible it says that marriage is between a man and a woman, but i'm not exactly a bible-thumper. i believe there's nothing wrong with being gay, and i'm still christian (i'm straight though). and a lot of that is actually people's opinions (that being gay is wrong). most people can't cope with things being different, so they consider gay people sinners, even though technically everybody is a sinner. my philosophy is "whatever makes you happy" because i don't like to judge other people, but a lot of my friends disagree with me (they are christians as well). i mean, i'm not exactly comfortable with gay people, but i certainly don't have a problem with gay people and religion. anyway, i just believe that as long as you're a good person and treat everybody else with respect, then it shouldn't matter if you like boys or girls, right? ductape_n_roses answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 7:47 pm: Because God is atheist. That's what my friend says anyway. I know that being a homoesexual or a transvestite always rouses up big debates and arguments.
I don't see what's wrong with being a homosexual or a transvestite. Love and marriage isn't about race, gender, age, or sexuality. It's just pure love.
I agree with you that being gay, lesbian, or bisexual is NOT a sin.
KisaKiss19 answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 4:38 pm: do really answer this question you'd have to take it up to god himself/herself.and if its a sin to be gay, then what about people who are bi?just because people think being gay is wrong doesnt mean god thinks its wrong.in the ten commandments did it ever say "only a man should love a woman and a woman should love only a man" ? whatever, its not a sin in my opinion- and if god made people-and he knew someones fate-then why would that person go to hell?i mean...wouldn't he want someone to be happy with another? to many questions should be answered.we dont know. this is a hard question xD - anyways even though i might not've done a good job on it i tried- and all questions about god are a little shakey-because you might not get the disired answer you hoped for :p!

holahayley56 answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 4:34 pm: They are not against gay people. There against gay marriages. Big difference. I'm not entirely sure, but I think its what the church say, it wasn't like what God said. Like, it is suppose to be for a man & a woman. But, I think gay people have every right to get married as well. God does love everyone, no matter what decisions people make. I'm catholic. & some people in there, make such a big deal about it. & others think its fine. Its just peoples opinions. To make this a little clearer, if you don't understand it.. because i'm kinda confusing myself as it is.. but haha, what i'm trying to say is ... the people think its a big sin. I don't think God does.
Alpha345 answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 4:27 pm: I will quote Leviticus of the bible.
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman, that is detestable." Leviticus 18:22
And again in Leviticus.
"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." Leviticus 20:13.
God's law and Jewish law here. But since Christ has already come (in the Christian standards) the laws are already fulfilled, and no longer need to be done in such a way. Now the law serves as a mirror and curb, showing us what we have done wrong. We're forgiven and the law no longer binds us like it did.
To answer your question, it is morally incorrect for homosexuality. In many, many regions you will find people stoned for it, even still today. God does indeed love everyone, and the only sin never forgiven is denying God.
Homosexuality is still a sin, and must be treated as one. There is a balance, if you will, of man and woman in every religion/region/anything. Homosexuality upsets the balance, and distorts it. Man and woman are the natural way to do things, being homosexual, quite frankly, is unnatural.
It's a balance issue, other than that it is the same as every sin. No sin is greater than another, they're all sin, nontheless. Homosexuality is more of a moral issue.
Solemnstar answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 4:14 pm: according to mot christian faiths, god created humanity to be man and women, but because we have free will, we can fall to satan's lies, such and bisexuality and homosexuality.Satan wouls try to corrupt God greatest creation by changing them against what god has made them for, and thus, the serve another, and cannot enter heaven..
So it's seen as wrong to keep us out of hell. however it's much more likely that that was just spread because the dominat religion before chrianity, paganism, accepted( muc more than the new faith) such behaviour, and that would keep many things too simaler.
christmas, is celebrated as jesus birth, which was in april-may(i'm not sure exactly when) because that was the time of the week long hoiliday Yule. Easter was a hoiliday celebrating the awaking of the goddess. it was jsut to make the transition to the new faith eaiser on some. [ Solemnstar's advice column | Ask Solemnstar A Question ]

CHECKERED-LOVE answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 2:05 pm: I am completely with you. Gay relationships aren't sin. If a person feels they should be with a person of the same sex than it should be allowed. I think people get the wrong idea of what God is saying. I think when he put Adam with Eve, he just wanted them to have children. Because 2 men or 2 women can't have children. It doesn't mean he didn't want them to be together!
Saynotogymclass answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 1:58 pm: God wanted relationships to be man to woman from the beginning of time. He created Adam to be with Eve, end of story. Gay and lesbian relationships are breaking the standards that God has created, so that is why religions have such a problem with it.
