I had that issue. I use Sally Hansen facial hair waxing stuff and it really works! Just don't leave it on for too long or it will leave a rash. And you don't want that to happen. It's very humiliating. And don't try shaving it. The hair will grow back thicker and courser so it will be more noticable!

Did you think it was a problem before those creeps said anything? If so, go ahead and get waxed if you want to pay all that money and waste all that time. If not, those guys were doing nothing but trying to hurt your feelings. A guy did something similar to me when I was younger and it still hurts. I hadn't started shaving my legs yet and he made a comment about how hairy my legs were. I made a fool of myself by trying to use my mom's razor and ending up with one poorly shaved leg and a huge, nasty cut. I get overly embarassed about any hair on my legs to this day and am constantly reminded of what he said to me. I let what that guy said get to me and I shouldn't have. If you go and get waxed you'll only be making a fool of yourself like I did. That kind of reaction is exactly what those guys are looking for. They want to feel powerful and have influence over people. So, they play games with girls that they think are weak and easily influenced. Don't give them what they want. They don't deserve it. There's no reason to get rid of that little bit of facial hair. Like you said, everone's got it and it's not noticeable unless someone is purposely looking for it. Run your own life and make your decisions for you, not for the jerks that feel a need to put you down because of their own insecurities. You may feel bad and self conscious about it for a little while, but if you do something about it you'll be reminded of what they said to you for your whole life. Let it go. Good luck.

Teza answered Monday March 20 2006, 11:04 pm:
Everyone does have hair above the upper lip but some people have more. Don't shave it because it will grow back a lot faster and it will grow prickly. I suggest you buy a waxing kit. Sally Beauty has them and they aren't expensive. I have it and it works really good and hair doesn't grow for 8 weeks.

I would reccommend waxing it,its about 8 dollars i think around where i live.If you pluck it the hair will grow back thicker, and more noticable. You could also bleach your hair to make it less noticeable it really does work.i wouldnt worry about it though, they were probably just kidding around with you guys will do that sometimes, ask your mom, sister,or your friends if its really that noticeable then if they say "yes" then maybe its time to go waxing ; ] i hope i could help!

Don't shave it because it'll grow back darker, thicker, and hairier. I would get it waxed, because plucking might hurt too much if there are a lot of them. Ask someone in your family if you can get your upper lip waxed.

hey! well when i was about 12 going on 13 the hair there started to be more noticable. so..what you need to do is go to the hairstylist and get it waxed. if you get your eyebrows waxed, its much like that. yes, it is going to hurt the first couple of times you get it done and it may be red for like a few minutes afterwards. but it is all worth it, and some places if you ask for it have like a numbing sort of lotion they can put on you before they wax to make the pain less. this is what i would do. xoxo helpachick

tasuki answered Monday March 20 2006, 8:03 pm:
Well, there are many ways. The best way is to get it electrically removed, because it never comes back but it's REALLY EXPENSIVE.

Second best, I think, would be to wax it. There are plenty of waxing products you can buy. Always ice your face afterwards, because it can sting.

Dying just makes it lighter, so if somebody is really close they might still notice it.

You could also shave it, just be careful not to cut yourself.

someone1234 answered Monday March 20 2006, 7:34 pm:
If it really bothers you, you would have to wax or bleach it. but once you start you have to keep it up because otherwise it will look worse. Waxing does make hair grow back a little thicker around the upper lip and eyebrow area, and when you bleach, the hair grows and then you have to bleach again otherwise you will have roots! ON YOU UPPER LIP! yea its kinda weird, I waxed and then regreted it because it actually wasnt that bad before. Now every month I go to the salon to get hair riped off my upper lip. So think about it, if you can live with it upper lip like you have it then forget about what those losers said.
Oh also bleach can leave your skin irratated and you lose some of your skins color, I wouldnt recommend it if you have tan or dark skin. If you have the money for it laser hair removal would get rid of it in a second and you never have to worry about it again. DO NOT SHAVE!!! IT WILL LOOK REAL NASTY IN ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO IF YOU SHAVE! JUST DONT DO IT OR YOU LOOK LIKE A GUY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE . Hope this helped =)

ROXiEMARiEX3 answered Monday March 20 2006, 7:22 pm:
I would suggest either waxing or bleaching. Waxing may hurt but it can often be the best solution. PLEASE don't shave; it's left for the guys because we know better! Shaving facial hair causes so much irritation on sensitive feminine skin. Waxing strips are probably your best option unless you're not ready for that kind of sting. After you use them for a while though, you'll get used to them. Goodluck!♥

DeadMemories answered Monday March 20 2006, 7:21 pm:
Study has shown that only men can have a mustache. But one thing that you should NOT do is Pluck them out! =[. They will grow back Darker, thicker and more noticeable. For example when you shave your legs. The hair grows back dark and thick. That would be what would happen to you.

How to get rid of it? Bleach it or just let it be. Guys are immature and they will soon grow out of it. But whatever you do, DO NOT wax, pluck or shave it off!

Never shave or tweeze. It will HURT! But if you want a quick easy way to get rid of it, try bleaching it. Try the brand Jolen, you just have to mix the powder with the cream and it bleaches the hair, and it is not noticable!

violet911 answered Monday March 20 2006, 7:07 pm:
You can do one of several things -- Waxing, which removes all the hair at the root and takes longer to grow back(about 5 or 6 weeks). Ouch factor-- Ripping off a really sticky bandaid.

Tweezing-- This is a painstakingly slow process and it still grows back pretty quick. If you don't have a LOT of hair, this might do. Pinches a lot until you get used to it.

Hair removal creams-- I personally dont like these. If you have very sensitive skin, even those formulated for that, can still irritate your skin. You put on a cream that you leave on for about 5-8 minutes, then wipe off with a washcloth. Can tingle and burn a bit if your skin isn't too sensitive, and a LOT if it is.

Bleaching--If your hair is dark and your skin light, bleaching might be an ok option. The hair's still there, but remarkably lighter so it isn't as noticeable. This is best to get professionally done. It can irritate the skin a bit, but overall isn't too bad.
