dumb question
this may seem like a dumb question but i heard someone talking about it.
lets say you use a public bathroom & you're a girl. if there's sperm anywhere near the toilet, on the seat, in the toilet itself, is it possible to get pregnant?? if you were juss using the bathroom??

lol! this is funny cause i freraked out once cause of this reason i know its stupied but i actually thought i was pregnant any way i found out thers no way you can get pregnant just by sitting on the toilet. its just one of those myths out there that arent true, any way ever since then i never sit on public toilets there just so gross i recommend you do the same thing!

There's been so many questions like this. People freak out. You can only get pregnant IF sperm gets into your vagina..
So basically sexual intercourse.
If you were just using the bathroom then theres no possible way of getting pregnant because the sperm was not inserted INTO your vagina.
And plus sperm dies once it hits the air.

Dear Questioner,
In the off chance that there is some sperm on your toilet there is no way you can get pregnant, unless that is the sperm can jump up inside your vagina all by yourself. I don't mean to make you feel dumb, it's okay, everybody has questions. And if you do see some liquid on you toilet seat, wipe it off! don't wanna sit on that. Hope that helps.

It is possible, but so unlikely that it probably has never happened and never will. Sperm need to be kept at a very particular temperature and only a few degrees variation from that kills them very quickly. Outside of the body on the toilet seat is much too cold for their survival. Secondly, sperm being on a toilet seat in the first place is unlikely. It doesn't just come out at will and most of it would go into the toilet itself. It has to come in direct contact with you to even have a chance. Thirdly, there is only a span of about 4 days a month when it's possible for you to get pregnant at all. Another thing is that sperm usually aren't strong enough to climb all the way up into your body. So basically in order for you to get pregnant from a toilet seat you'd have to be at a very specific time in your cycle, a guy would have to be in the bathroom before you and masturbate on the seat, immediately following he would run out, you would run in, not wipe the seat off before you sat down and rub your butt all over it for the sperm to have much chance at all for anything. Don't worry about getting pregnant from a toilet seat, it's not going to happen.

the only way a girl can get pregnant is through sex. using the bathroom while there's sperm on the toliet isn't necessarily sex is it? nope. so don't worry, and once sperm touches air, it's no longer effective. (you can't get pregnant). and if you're that worried about it, don't sit on the toliet silly! you shouldn't at all it's gross and unsanitary. you can get infections by doing that. and the most reliable thing you could do to prevent pregnancy is to not have sex until you actually want to get pregnant. i promise you sex is the only way you can get pregnant. ♥adina
