Well, I have wavy hair and it's never completely straight. But it gets to where I like it if I blow dry it. And also, gold plated hair straighteners work better than the silver plated ones.

well some people (like myself) have naturally straight hair and thats why its so silky
--but
the problem might be with your straightener..is it old? does it not produce enough heat? or your hair just sint good for straightening..:(

i was born with insanley curly hair, and i had to try a million different hair straighteners to get mine the way that i like it, try that, and you might want to look into some defrizzer that i'm sure you could find at any beauty store as well as walmart

Some people are blessed with great hear. Aussie has great styling products that will reduce frizz so does John Freida and Garnier Frutice. I also like Pantene Pro V. They all work well, depending on your hair!

Did you know that egg whites have historically been used as a hair creme?

Sounds like you probably need to start using a thickening shampoo and conditioning regularly if you don't already. Also, make sure to have your split ends trimmed off at least once a year to prevent your hair from splitting irreparably.

Karen answered Sunday April 17 2005, 10:56 am:
To get your hair perfectly straight and frizz free, you need to use a good straightener or a flat iron/CHI. Those girls you see probably use a flat iron or CHI because those two types of straighteners make your hair frizz free. As for the silkiness part, you need to use a shine spray or any type of serum for your hair. Then you just straighten you hair like you normally would.

Try getting ceramic straighteners they help keep it smooth all day. If your hair is frizzy try some straigtening sirum before you straighten it.

Ahh! I love this question because i've had this problem! Go to MJ capeli and ask if they have party up or something like that. It should be in a hot pink tube! If not look around for a orange bottle thats sort of see thru and grab that. Look at hair salons for that sort of stuff and they should be sure to have that sort of stuff. There prices range in like the $15-$25's so its pretty decent!! Good luck!-trix

netsirk07 answered Sunday April 17 2005, 12:31 am:
Well I had the same question, but I figured it out. If you have layers then it won't look like the completely straight, silky, and perfect hair. You need to have all one length hair. If you already have all one length hair then you need to get a really good straightener I have Conair it's red. That works very very well and it's only about $30. You can get it in Target or a hair salon has really good straightners also. When you get the straightener then straighten it like this::
1.]Clip your top and middle layer.
2.]Straighten the bottom layer
3.]Let go of the middle part.
4.]Straighten the middle part.
5.]Let go of the top part
6.]Straighten your top part.
Hope I helped!!

sadf16 answered Sunday April 17 2005, 12:20 am:
How about if you go to the parlor and hot oil your hair? Don't use shampoo always because it'll make your hair unhealthy. Also use conditioner instead of shampoo. You can use shampoo once or twice a week. Hope this can help!

Most people that have perfect straight silky hair was born with it. But it doesn't mean that they don't it just depends on shampoo and conditioner and the straightener that you use.

insomniac.with.advice answered Saturday April 16 2005, 10:49 pm:
You should try using a straightening balm or palmade before you straighten your hair preferably before you dry your hair with a blow drier. I suggest that you also use a ceramic flat iron, That keeps your hair smooth and silky and the ceramic material will not harm your hair. You might also want to use a heat activated shampoo, like Thermasilk or pantene pro-v's smootha nd sleek shampoo. i hope this solves your hair dilema.

I would by some frizz-control to use. Also, make sure to condition. At any salon, or even wal*mart there are various frizz contorl products. Some are even for while you straighten your hair. Look for on that best suites your hair type.
