You know, good question. Everyone always says the x's are kisses and o's are hugs. I disagree. I think the x's are hugs and o's are kissing. I think it makes more sense. Since when does an x look like a pair of lips kissing something. I think it looks like two people hugging with one arm around their neck and the other on their back.

My older sister is 17 (Im about to turn 14 in a few days) and today I was hanging out with her in her room while she was looking through her drawers for a pair of shorts. I saw something that looked like a condom wrapper but she covered it up so quickly, i thought i must have seen it wrong because my sister told me shes a virgin. Well, when she left the house, I snooped & turns out .. it was condoms, a few of them. And about 3 were un opened. Im MAD. She lied to me. And shes told me repeatedly how she wants to save herself until marriage. I dont know what to do, do i tell anyone? Im afraid she'll get an STD, or pregnant. But I cant talk to HER. First of all, she could still be a virgin. Just because she has condoms means she's doing it. They could be there just incase. You shouldn't go jumping to conclusions. Also, if she has condoms shes not going to get pregnant. If it's bothering you THAT much, then you have to tell her that you saw them.

a girl i dont know that well, but is good friends with my good friends invited me 2 her b-day party, but i was gonna be on vacation, so i told her that and said i couldn't come. she called me a month later and invited me to another party, but i was really really mad at the moment. and i bitchily said "i'm busy" halfway through her sentance and she was like "oh... ok" and i said "bye" and hung up. i called back and apologized once i had cooled down a bit, and explained it was just my mood. but she's been telling her friends (mine too) that she thinks i hate her. any suggestions to make her realize i have nothing against her (and start getting invited to her parties again, because it sucks, cuz she has them all the time and i'm never invited anymore) (link)

Okay well my boyfriend and I have recently been having sex through about 3 months and we have been going out for three years. Not once have I had an orgasm, I always have to fake it and I sort of get tired faking it because I want to experience what an orgasm feels like. And I don't want him to give me oral or finger me or whatever, I want to have an orgasm through intercourse. The sex feels good, but there are times when I cant even feel it in me. Yeah, I've had my period for like 3 years and sometimes it still is irregular. Just say you are luck you don't get it everyday. It will even out as time goes on.

i didnt know what to put this question under. but if you shave like "down there" are you supposed to put lotion on..or is there a certain way to shave. cause i get little red dot and i dont know if its normal

First of all, make sure you have alot of shaving cream and put it on down there. Then shave going side ways then go the way your hair grows. After you are done and what not, put lotion on it. Some lotions will burn but it's better putting lotion on and not getting razor burn like you got.

The following questions are not really being asked so that I can be advised about my own beliefs, but rather to (hopefully) stimulate discussion.
Anyway, my first question is this:
Many people believe that God must exist because the universe itself exists. In essence, they believe that the universe was caused by something, and that cause was God. The argument assumes three things. 1. It assumes existence is necessarily caused. 2. It assumes that existence was caused by a conscious, intelligent being.
Now, it seems to me that the idea that the cause is conscious and intelligent, and even a being, is open to question. Maybe the cause is some transcendant FORCE? The first assumption, as well, is questionable. No one is sure if we have every really observed existence being caused. We have seen things change forms, but not pop into existence. Not only that, but theories in quantum physics hold that subatomic particles often appear out of nowhere, with no cause. Many events in the subatomic realm are said to be uncaused. This seems to openly refute the first assumption.
Do you agree or disagree with this? Discuss.
The second argument I'd like to make is in regards to the other big argument for God, that being the argument of design. It basically states that because life is so complex, it couldn't have arisen from chance and it had to be designed.
My objections to this are as follows:
1. If complex life must have been designed by some intelligent force, then the designer (being intelligent) must also have been designed. The designers would have to go back into an infinite regression. This is hardly a plausible idea, because it needlessly multiplies entities without any reason for supposing their existence.
2. The theory of evolution shows how life can evolve from simpler organisms without any intentional design. This is not caused by 'random chance', but by the forces of natural selection, genetic drift, and sexual selection, among others. None of these selection mechanisms are "random". The mutations are random, but the species that survive are not chosen at random.
Is there an adequate way to defend the design theory against these arguments? How would you do so?
Another common argument (this is the last one) is that, given the Big Bang theory, the chances of this specific life-supporting universe originating have such small odds of happening that it seems absurd to say it happened by pure chance.
My objections:
1. Simply because the probability is very low for this given universe doesn't mean that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the universe to form this way by chance.
2. If we were to emphasize the chances of a universe being created that had, say, a lot of big, gaseous planets like jupiter and very few like Earth, this would also be very improbable. The point is that emphasizing life seems arbitrary. Any other possible outcome would be just as improbable.
3. Your own existence is very improbable as well. Think about it. You were composed of a specific sperm out of millions and a specific egg out of thousands. Your parents, grand-parents, and all your other ancestors for however old humans have been around were also subject to this very low probability of being born. If we factor in the chance of each of your relatives meeting and the chances of them having sex at a particular time, the chances become even lower for your own existence. Given all these variables (and there are many more), the chances of your existence are VERY improbable. Does this mean that you weren't created through sexual reproduction (a process of "random" selection among sperm and eggs) but that some being--maybe a stork?--guided you into existence?
Obviously, the fine-tuning argument fails for the reasons the stork argument fails. Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not?

I believe in God and all, I don't believe that he created the universe and human beings. I believe in evolution that we all evolved from bacteria into monkeys and so on to present day humans. I also believe in the big bang. The chances may be very low of it happening, but some things happen like once in very long times. I don't believe in the whole stork existence thing. I believe it was all chance.

That's how I was. What I said to my mom was "Uhh mom I think I got my period" Lol just be blunt about it. You are going to have to tell her sometime. Tell her that you don't need a lecture on it because you know what to do and so on.

Definitely laying down. I HATE standing up ones. Then you have to hold the bars and it makes your arms hurt after a while. Then you get bored just standing there. I also found it that I got tanner in the laying down ones (maybe it was just the places I went to). Yeah but from my experience, stick with the laying down one.

i really need someones help!!! ok so i am 17 and over the last 3 days i have been so hungry i have just wanted to eat and thats it. Today i ate a whole bowl of rice all to myself and i did not even feel full up i think i am Ill. every morning, i have the sniffles. like i constantly blow my nose & sneeze & everything. last year, i couldn't concentrate in my 1st period class bc i had the sniffles! ugh it's so annoying! and it only happens when i wake up early, not when i wake up whenever. school starts soon & i don't want to be humuliated in my class. how can i get rid of them?? thanks and yeah i'll rate lol (link)

Tell your mom or someone. You could have allergies. Or you could just be congested because you've been laying down for a very long time. Get that nasal spray, maybe that will help. If that doesn't work, go to the doctors. I'm sure he'll give you medicine.

Tell them that other girls at school have it done too. It's not a big deal. If they don't agree with you, then wait atleast another year then I'm sure they will let you. I mean you are only 13 now and the legal age (well in my state anyways) is 16 now. It used to be 14.
OHH by the way.. you really shouldn't get it until you are 16. When I called to get mine done the guys said he wouldn't do it because you aren't done growing so if you have it done at 13, you have like 5 years left to grow and it will tear the belly ring right out. Then you will have a scar.

I have an extra curricualr activity. There's this guy there. His name is Gabriel. He's not the hottest guy in the world, but I think he's totally nice. We have a lot in common. We see eachother once a week, and talk on AIM. We're in different grades. He's in 8th, I'm in 7th. We don't go to the same school, and won't be able to see eachother over the summer. I really care about him, but he doesn't know. My friends think he's ugly, and that even if he is nice, he's not worth it because he's ugly. I don't care about looks so much. I'm really shy too...

Tell him you like him. You guys can hang out in the summer, talk on the phone, or over AOL. Tell your friends to not bad mouth about him because you really like him. Even if he is ugly but you still like him, then so what. You can't help who you like and you're not suppose to!

Hey ya'll. Thanks for looking at my question.
I like this guy, Danny. Well, I don't really like him, but you know that crazy feeling that you get when you sort of like someone yet you sort of don't? (Confusing I know..)
Well I'm 17 and anyways, I kind of have the hotts for him and we talk alot on the AIM. I've know him for all my life, and we've just sort of gotten attracted to each other.
I think I could like him more than just attraction and fooling around.
The bad part about it is he lives in another state, and he's my best friend's brother. But I go out there frequently.
But I have no idea how to present the idea of liking each other to him. He is nineteen and of course its not that bad, I'll be of age soon.
I'm really bad with words and want to ask him if he feels anything for me and would like to have a relationship with me. In a nut shell. I don't want to freak him out, or make him think that I just sit around thinking about him all day.

ok.. ive liked this guy for a while now and now he knows and i can tell he likes me too but i think that were both afraid to talk to eachother :(.. i really really like him and i wanna be able to talk to him but im really really shy. and plus ive never had to go and talk to someone, theyve always came to me. but anyways.. its been a few weeks and i jus wanna get it over with and talk to him...but the thing is.. i dont kno wut to say, and when or w/e so can u pleasssee help me?? im starting to get frustrated with myself cause i cant do it. When he says hi to you or something strike up a conversation. You can always talk to him online (if you both have aol or whatever). It won't be that hard. Or, you can have a friend tell him and tell him to talk to you. Sorry, that's the best advice I can give!
