Karen answered Tuesday April 26 2005, 3:12 pm: An ordinary lip gloss really doesn't last for about 6 years because it's basically impossible. I have never found a lip gloss that lasted about 6 hours, unless it was a long lasting one. The only way for getting lip gloss to last for a long time is to either reapply it when you need to or you can buy a long lasting one. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

It would be a good idea to make shoRe the lip gloss is long lasting, fiRst of all. I apply lots and lots of lip gloss, and use it oveR chapstick, and this usually lasts quite a while. I do know that theRe's a penicl called a "NatuRal/Nude" lineR, and I heaR that it woRks wondeRs. HoweveR, I have neveR tRied this, so I can't Really Reccommend it, but I think it's woRth a shot, but if not... the chapstick woRks wondeRfully too. Goodluck; Hope I helped!! lorelei answered Monday April 25 2005, 7:01 pm: Use lip liner to fill in your lips before applying the gloss.
They make nude lip liners in case you use a clear or sheer gloss. It may not last a full 6 hours but it will last a hell of a lot longer.

xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday April 25 2005, 6:48 pm: Try the long lasting lip gloss. Getting a regular lipgloss to last for about 6 hours is close to impossible. You would have to hardly talk, eat nothing, don't lick your lips, don't kiss any boys... Just save yourself the tourment and get the long lasting lipgloss. Almost every brand of makeup makes it and they all work equally good. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
