THAT'S MY MAN

Question Posted Monday April 25 2005, 6:13 pm

So I'm sorta about to be going out with this guy. My best friend, hits on everyone, including him. lately i've been trying to hang out more with him (but i haven't like ditched my friends for him) so today, im sitting behind him in math, and my "friend" walks up, and sits on his lap. This made me angry but, he didnt appear to happy about it either but is to nice to say GET OFF ME! So then, she's trying to get her hands either up or down his shirt claiming she's "cold". then. when we are leaving math, i walked out with him. she runs up the hallway, litterally, shoves him off to the side, somehow wiggles between us cutting my totally off from him! i havent told her yet that we r going to go out, cause im afraid of her reaction. how can i tell her to lay off him, without being rude?! ty in advance, i rate high/

i think you should talk to him about it. be like, "hey do you like (friend's name here), because you guys are like always flirting with each other." he'll probably say something like, "no, she always comes on to me." then one day casually bring up that he likes you. if she responds with shock, be like "yeah, you didn't know?" she should get the message, and back off. if this doesnt work, try to get him to tell her to stop. hopefully when you asked him if he liked her because theyre always flirting, he'll get the message, and try to prove to you that she comes on to him, since he likes you.
i know it sounds a bit confusing, but i hope it helps!

Tell your friend that you and this guy are going to go out. She she makes fun of you, then shes not a true friend. Then she should get the hint and lay off.. if she doesn't, tell her how you feel.. if she reacts badly, maybe you two should spend some more time together to work on your friendship.

You have to tell her... just be like i like so and so and he likes me... if she is a good friend she should listen to you...

Just tell her hey, remember that guy that I walked out with after math yesterday? He asked me out and we're dating now.

I don't think that sounds rude, do you?

If she gets pissed, she has no right to. It's not like you knew that she liked him anyways because she flirts with everybody!
