hey! i`m katie & i`m just making this advice column on a whim. but i feel that i have a lot i can help people with. i`m a great listener and i`ll give advice on things like boys, sports, exercise, make-up, moving, family, friends, love, break-ups, life, school, moving & anything else you can think of. a little about myself, i`m a 15 year old volleyball player from missouri. i`m a southern girl through and through. i`m currently single!! i live with my parents and have one older sister who is basically my hero. i have been through a lot of rough shit and have managed through with the help of my friends and family. life isn`t always easy and i learned that very young but i`m working on myself, and trying to live each day happy. figuring out who i am :)

is hydrogen peroxide(sp?) ok to use to whiten your teeth? and if so, how do you do it, whats the best way to put it on, how long to you keep it on, etc....

also, would it be better to use before or after baces come off(i obiously have braces)

what are some fun things to do when you have a friend over? my house is so boring. also, i need to watch my little sister. thx

watch tv/movies, look at magazines, surf the net, go to the park, cook something, do eachothers nails, layout, clean, play cards, listen to music, talk, wash cars (always FUN!), make signs & posters & all sorts of other random stuff!!

Hi, I need some advice on how to lose about 5 pounds by the middle of August or sooner. Please help me!!

Quit drinking soda/alochol, drink tons of water, watch what you eat (cut out things that are high in fat & sugar), & do cardio exercise!!

I'm 15/F turning 16 in october. I'm desperate to get a babysitting job, so my cousin told me to make flyers to put around my neighborhood.

What should kind of information should I put on the flyer, like my name and phone number.

How should I decorate it and what additional information should I add?

Lastly, what SHOULDN'T I put on my flyer?

You should put things like your name (first & maybe last, kinda depends on if you live in a small town where everyone already knows you or a bigger city), your phone number, any qualificatons (babysitting classes you have taken), when your available, & how much you charge. I wouldnt put your address on the flyer. Also, try to make the flyer look nice, dont go putting tons of stickers & things that will make you look like your eleven years old. Hope I helped!!

ok i just got back from my 5 day cheer camp and we stunted almost 24/7 and i am really sore! i've taken advil to try to get it to go away but it doesn't seem to be working! i can barely walk and pick things up its so bad! what are some good ways that you guys use to help the soreness go away? thanx!

Try taking a warm bath and just resting a lot. Your muscles need time to heal and restore themselves. Also, eating a lot of protein will help!

my cell phone was droped in the water and now i press a button and somethin else pops u like if i press menu it starts to dial a number if i press 3 it shows up the menu is amy where i can take it to fix it or should i jsut get a new 1 its a virgen moblie slider

Try taking it to the store that you purchased it at and see if they can do anything to fix it. This is a good reason to buy insurance on your phone, because then you dont have to buy a new one, the company will buy you a new one. But most likely, you will have to purchase a new one!!

I love biolage and matrix products, you can check out their website for specific products for whatever different look your going for. Also, low end I would reccomend John Frieda, the sheer blonde stuff is pretty good (but if your not blonde im sure the brunette is awsome as well). Just remember to condition your hair a lot, a deep conditioner/mask that you leave on your hair for about 10 minutes works well. I know john frieda makes one & pretty much every brand has one. Also check out www.makeupalley.com and you can look up hair products before you buy them & they have reviews and ratings to see if others like the product you want to buy, its great.

My best friend just passed away :-[. she was only 13 and she died of cystic fybrosis. i miss her soo much! we have been best friends since the day we met .. when we were 3! every night i cry myself to sleep because i miss her so much! She passed away last week. PLEASE HELP ME! what can i do to keep her with me and what can i do to make me get over the fact that im never gonna see her again!? thanks a lot ..

Just try to remember all the good times that you had together. Keep her in your mind and in your spirit. Im sure she is watching over you. Another good thing you could do is to get invovled with cystic fybrosis, maybe volunteering at a hospitol or something like that. Just try to keep her memory close to your heart!

so my sister just got a mini doxen and my aunt is a groomer, is it true when it's fully grown, it will become a mean dog? are they good dogs?

A dogs behavior usually depends on how it is raised and its environment. Any breed of dog can be a good dog if it is trained properly. Although some breeds of dogs are nicer then others most dogs can adjust to being nice. I suggest looking up more on the breed by either googling it or going to your library!

My guy friend (who I kind of like) & I are going to see Star Wars. I'm thinking this'll be the night when I admit to having feelings for him. Is this a good movie for that? It sounds crazy but is there anything I can do during the movie to hint I like him? Are there any romantic scenes in the movie that might turn him on or get his mind on relationships?

I have this friend that i really dont like and i really didnt want to be her friend in the first place..she pretty much took my BEST friend away from me in the first place..! i really cant explain why i hung out with her .. but i really need to end our " friendship " and i really dont know how! Okay, first off if someone is really your 'bestfriend' nobody else can take them away. I guess your friendship wasnt that strong in the first place. Anyways, just dont hang out with this girl anymore. Its normal, people go their seperate ways all the time. If she insists on hanging out or keeps talking to you just explain to her that your gonna try to hang out with some new people. Im sure she'll understand.

Ok i know i just did something really stupid but i was bored so i put on some fake nail with nail glue and i took one off and like its really nasty looking on my real nail the glue is and i cant get the glue off my real nail how can i do this?

Try your local florist or garden nursery! Also ive seen them at places like Target. Just check around!

I have these big bee-stung lips...they are so poofy and ughhhh I hate them..is there any way to make my lips look thin like normal people??

just be grateful, people pay big money for lips like those! lol but really, just avoid wearing really shiny gloss because that will make your lips appear bigger!
