Yea..Cheerleading will do that to you. I feel your pain, but I dont think theres any way to ultimately rid yourself of aches and pains. I hurt a lot after camps, clinics, and even my regular gymnastics class, but I just wait a few days until it goes away. Sorry if this didnt help too much. Good luck!

ok i am a cheerleader and i know how u feel! i would first take a really really hott bath(like as hott as you can take it) and if there is something really wrong with you....you might want to go to the doctor to see if you pulled anything. but just lay around and dont do anything to active that might make it worse.
hope that helped!

Try taking a warm bath and just resting a lot. Your muscles need time to heal and restore themselves. Also, eating a lot of protein will help!

i would contiune to take advil, but make sure you take it as often as it says to on the bottle, because that medicine really stops working every 4-6 hours. i would also take a nice warm bath. bengay, and iceyhot are lotions that help releive soreness. i personally use iceyhot (which you can find in walgreens and stores such as that, by the band aids and stuff) and it really works. you could also use a heating pad, and buy a self massage-thingy at places such as bath&bodyworks or bed, bath, and beyond.. and massage your sore muscels. plenty of rest also helps!

i hope this helps you out! =]

rest your body has been over worked if you can stretch before you go to bed and when you get up that will cause you the least pain but if you cant do that than i suggest talking to your mom about going to the doctors there could be something serious like a pulled muscle or something just dont over work yourself!

ok...i've definitely been in your situation with cheerleading and volleyball. i usually take some motrin. and if that doesn't help then buy a type of sports cream, i know there's one called "blu emu" which just basically numbs the spot that you put it on. it works really good, but sometimes the soreness just has to work off. hope i helped!

marie

I've definitely felt that way after dance before. Just take it easy for now. Use a heating pad on sore spots and take a nice warm bath. Don't try and strain yourself. Talk to me if you need more help. Kristen

Hey -- good luck with your sore muscles!

-Ibuprofen helps inflammation
-Ice the sore areas for about 20 min. once every hour.
-Stretch the sore area.
-Take a warm bath.
-Eat a lot of protein. (It will help build up the muscles.)
-Dont over do it - lay low and rest for a few days.

oO ik exactly how you feel, the best thing to do is to relax and take it easy. Did you stretch every time before you did anything? well the truth is that you should actually keep doing what your doing, but you have to be extremly carefull and dont work out to much, Take warm baths, Put ice only for about 4 minutes on your sores then take it off for a little while, then put it back on for a bit (keep doing that for a little bit), stretch before you do any activties, and that should do it, hope you feel better

HyperactiveMiss answered Sunday July 10 2005, 4:11 pm:
Do some stretching to stretch out your muscles. Drink lots of water. Put an ice pack on your sores. Take a warm bath. Believe it or not one of the best ways to get rid of your soreness is to keep doing the same exercises (not as hard though, do it at a waaaay lower level) you did that got you sore. Or you can just take a short (15 min ish) walk. Doing this will get your blood pumping which will get nutrients to your muscles and get the stuff that occurs when you exercise out of your muscles.

(I did some research for you on this so don't think I pulled this out of thin air, lol.)

CheerChick69 answered Sunday July 10 2005, 4:09 pm:
Ohh my god! I know what you are talking about! The best thing to do it too just relaxe your muscles, streach to relive some pain but mainly just take a nice hott bath. Also i have heard that those icyhott patches work realy well, so put one wear it hurts the most. The reaons it hurts is because doing diffrent stunts for that long of a time you use diffrent musles you usaly wouldnt. I do alot of spotting and lifting and throwing in cheerleader and some stunting so i get soar for the first couple times we try somthing new! Just relaxe Try some musscle releefe meddison it always works for me! GOODLUCK!

Hope this was some help

Meg
