twistedsister17 answered Sunday July 10 2005, 4:26 pm: Um actually, coming from a person who is emo, emo doesnt necessarily have to do with depression. Thats called fake emo. Fake emo is when people sit around in their rooms cutting their wrists going, "Omg, i hate my life, I want to commit suicide!" Emo simply means emotional and full of emotion no matter what kind of emotion it is- happiness, sadness, anger, etc. Its a form of expression, just showing strong emotion and being sensitive. It also fits into a certain type of music category like hawthorne heights because they show extreme amounts of expression in their lyrics. Theres nothing wrong with emo...except that it is a label....but anyways....thats just my opinion on it. :) [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]
