U kan start using tampons w/ you first period.((If you want)) It also does not matter what age you r. U kan shower with them but need to change them about every 3-4 hours. When you FIRST start using them, itll b uncomfy!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to go to the NJ shore with one of my best friends, Sam. I was very excited...each of her siblings is bringing a friend, and she chose me to go for the week with her & her family! Just today, however, she called me and was like "I just found out Catherine is coming too, is that all right?" Obviously I said yes...I wasn't going to be rude & tell her no. However Catherine is Sam's friend (their families are good friends too) and she does not go to my school. I have met her before, & she is very nice, but I really don't know her well. To be honest, I am not sure that I am so psyched to go anymore, because she is going to have Catherine there too. I know it sounds mean, & I have nothing against Catherine, but it just seemed rude that Sam never mentioned she would be there before. I BELIEVE SAM'S MOM INVITED CATHERINE'S WHOLE FAMILY, WHICH IS WHY I AM UNCOMFORTABLE. HER PARENTS ARE SORT OF "WILD" THEY DRINK A LOT AND ARE BASICALLY PARTY ANIMALS. THIS MAKES BOTH ME & MY MOM UNCOMFOTABLE. ALSO, MY DRIVING TEST IS SOON, AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRACTICE FOR THE WHOLE WEEK IF I GO. ALSO, MY SISTER & COUSINS ARE GOING FOR A FEW DAYS TO MY GRANDPARENTS HOUSE, WHICH I WOULD MISS OUT ON. I honestly don't know if I want to go anymore...I mean I am sure it would still be fun but it is just not the same. Do you think it is silly for me to be upset? Should I just go, or should I decline? I do have reasons (as noted above -more than one) of why it might not be the best idea to go, but I would also feel like sam would be upset if I didn't go. What should I do, and how do I talk to her (either way i need to talk to her).

I think you should prolly go and get to know her. If things don't work out, then OBVIOUSLY you won't be going next time she goes. But who knows? You could have the time of your life!!

OMG! Thats the story of my life. NEway tho. For me, conciling has helped. N medication. But if you lyk the friends u have now then try to work on ur attitude. If you dont try to find other friends that lyk you for urself not you trying to be sumtin.

I just inserted my first tampon about an hour and 15 minutes ago. Well, half of the string is covered in blood and i still have blood dripping out into a pad. Why is it doing this? You should prolly just change it and wear a new one. Taking it out the first few times is supposed to feel weird. And tampons, after awhile, do start to leak. If you have a heavy flow you should change it every 1 and a half to two hours. Wear a minipad when you're not swimming.

Put black pepper or sum hot sauce on your fingers. It helped me. Or put something on your nails that you don't like.
