OK first decide if you want it to be a group thing or just the two of you. I might invite him for a group thing an maybe next time invite him for just the two of you.
Just mention the commercial of the movie,talk about how it looks good and how you and some friends are going to see it..then invite him to go.
YOU: I saw the commerical for (Movie)and it looks pretty good...me and some friends are gonna go see it, wanna come with us?

Well first of all are u and this guy friends? If you are then say hey i was just wondering if you want to come over and watcha movie at my place? If your not friends then start talking to him and until you guys are comfortable with each other then you can ask him to come over and watch a movie! Hope i helped!

I've done this before I felt kinda odd I just asked on AIM simply would u like to go to a movie with me sometimes and they said sure they'll usually always say yes because they have nothing better to do and they might think its good that a girl asked for a change...just ask naturally and everything will be ok just imagen that they are your friends that you normally ask to the movies

Do you know the kind of movies he likes? If so you could say "hey, i just rented this movie and i think you'd like it, wanna come over and watch it?". Play it calm though, if he sees you nervous, it could make him think it's a bigger deal than it is, thereby making him nervous and you appear very sketchy! Good luck!

Just act normal! Be yourself! Ask him if he was doing anything Friday night etc, and see if he wants to go! You won't look like a doofus, no matter what ya tihnk. Just make sure he's in a good mood when you ask -grins-

hey just be casual about it. a simple "do u wanna see ___ with me on __(day of week)___?" if some other people are going you can say "some friends n i are going to see ___, would you be interested in going?" then have him call you for details. thats should take some of the worries out of it. relax and be yourself, <3
