sisters condoms =/ please help!
My older sister is 17 (Im about to turn 14 in a few days) and today I was hanging out with her in her room while she was looking through her drawers for a pair of shorts. I saw something that looked like a condom wrapper but she covered it up so quickly, i thought i must have seen it wrong because my sister told me shes a virgin. Well, when she left the house, I snooped & turns out .. it was condoms, a few of them. And about 3 were un opened. Im MAD. She lied to me. And shes told me repeatedly how she wants to save herself until marriage. I dont know what to do, do i tell anyone? Im afraid she'll get an STD, or pregnant. But I cant talk to HER. Or she'll freak out at me and deny it - i know.

It mite not have been full out sex it could have been oral and she used protection. She might have lied to you due to you age because your a little younger and doesnt want you to worry or tell your parents. Just flat out tell her that you saw them and ask her why they are there.

First off - you probably shouldn't have snooped. But heck, we're all human and we've all done it from time to time because our natural curiosity gets the better of us.
So the situation is this:
* Your sister has told you that she's a virgin
* You've found some condoms in her drawer (I don't know why you say that three were unopened - do you mean three boxes? Three condoms? Were there open ones in there - why would anyone keep an open condom in their draw?)
But anyway - you've made the leap that the condoms mean she's definitely having sex. That might not be true - she might just be being sensible and keeping prepared for any eventuality. Sometimes people say one thing and do another. Why do you think she's saying that she will stay a virgin till she's married? Perhaps there's peer pressure in your family or her friend group to do so. Are you mad at her for lying (if she is having sex) or because you personally think it's wrong of her to be having sex before marriage?
Even if she is having sex, so long as she's using those condoms (and preferably another method of birth control too) the likelihood of her getting pregnant is practically zero and she's really unlikely to get an STD too.
I don't think you should tell anyone - just accept that your sister may well have a life that you don't know anything about and there's probably a good reason she wants to keep it that way.

You must realize by now that you shouldn't have snooped, but you should also realize that sex is a very personal choice to everyone. She probably felt that you wouldn't understand if she talked about sex with you. And more importantly, the reason she told you she was a virgin when she wasn't could be becasue she doesn't want you thinking you should just go jump in bed with someone just because she did. Maybe I'm way off on this one, but maybe she lied out of caring. I think you should just pretend that none of this happened. It's not like she'll take kindly to the news that you've been snooping in her personal things.... If she's using condoms at least she's smart enough to use protection in the first place. They aren't 100% effective, but they do help prevent STD's and unwanted pregnancys when they're used correctly.

Just because she has condoms does not mean she isn't still a virgin. It may be she has them 'just in case'. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. They will keep her from getting STDs and unwanted pregnancies. I know you and your sister are probably close but some things a person does should remain private. You may not understand that yet but you will one day.
Weather you tell her you know about them is up to you. Will it make her not trust you anymore if you do? If it will, keep it to yourself. If you think she would be OK with it then ask her about it. Just remember that regardless of what she is doing, shes being safe about it. That's a good thing. :)

she's trying to set a good example for you. maybe she regrets her decision or she just wants to keep you safe and away from telling the parents what shes been doing. im sure her intentions are good. its really none of your business, as your sex life is non of hers, but if you really want to know, calmly tell her that you can swear on a bible that it wasa condom wrapper and your just wondering what the truth is and promise no to tell the parents or get all worked up over it. she doesnt have to tell you so just keep it to yourself. oh, and at least she's playin it safe so be proud. <3

Ok first of all she can't get pregnant if she uses a condem. Now what you need to do is tell somebody like a parent and if she denys it show proof(the condems of course). This affects not only her but her own family.

First of all, she could still be a virgin. Just because she has condoms means she's doing it. They could be there just incase. You shouldn't go jumping to conclusions. Also, if she has condoms shes not going to get pregnant. If it's bothering you THAT much, then you have to tell her that you saw them.

Just because she has a couple condoms in her drawer doesn't mean she has had sex. She may just have them around because she is curious. Besides no one keeps used condoms around, they would be disgusting. I think you should just pretend you didn't see anything.

Well this could be a possiblity.. she could of opened a few to see what they feel like or who they'd possibly feel inside of her.. like what im tryin to say she could of liked masterbated with one.. thats what my older sister has done.. she told me about it cause i ask her if she was a virgin then she explained that to me..

You have to let your parents know about this they can do something about it.You're sister may even get pregnant even though she uses a condom because of the pressure and she may not even know.And show them where you saw the condoms,when they have it in their hands she will be in trouble but it is for her own good, and std is a very terrifying disease to get.If the condoms are gone from by the time they check up where they are then you should tell them that you are not lying.that she must of taken the condoms,and get proof that she is using condoms to have sex.You could have a camera hidden or take pictures of it if it is necessary.Your parents also should be absolutely careful with her,and watch her every move because she is heading the wrong path.

wow that is so great you found them im glad your looking out for your sister you need to tell sumbody and sumbody quick yea she myte be having proteced sex nox but it only takes on time to get HIV/AIDS or even pregnant.Talk to her sit down with a consuler so that your consuler(not from skool)can sit doen with you your sister and your mom and work it out ok hopefully ya do da ryte thing

Talk to her, not about the condoms, but how you look up to her, and if she had sex it would change your mind about how you think of her. You know, just because she has condoms doesnt mean she is sexually active, it could mean:
A.She carries them around and if a friend needs one she gives one.
B. Maybe she thinks she looks cool with them.
C. Maybe she is deciding if she wants to or not.

you could always call birthright..i have it saved on my phone just in case of emergencies. maybe your sister just wanted to have some safe fun. but dont blame her. maybe you should talk to her calmly and ask her again if she had wild and crazy sex before she got married. just because she had them doesnt mean she used them. talk to her about how you dont want her doing it.
