i want to contact a local retirement home to volunteer there. i need more extra cirricular activities for college so i wanna do something like that. im thinking about emailing them, any suggestions on what i should say in an email or on the phone? i need any kind of ideas. ♥

Tell them how old you are, where you live, and how often and what sort of hours you might be able to help out. Make sure that you have parental consent if you need it. Mostly they will be really glad of having volunteers, but make sure you go down there first (if you don't know it already) and get a sense of the sort of things you might have to do before you start and make sure you're happy. Let him/her know that you're interested in volunteering, the days and times you would be available to work, and what specifically interests you.
