As a seventeen year old female who is oober tired of stupid highschool guys and would like to move on to more mature ones... how old is too old for me?

Well, it really depends on the guy.As you probably realise some are more mature than others. I'd try to keep it at 21 or younger.Until you turn 18 though you are technically jail bait for anyone over 18.Bad term but true. Happy hunting!:}

I think that anything above the ages of twenty or twenty-one is too old. Technically it would be illegal for them to be in a sexual relationship with you anyway because you are under the age of eighteen. Wait until you are eighteen before you start dating anyone above twenty-one.

I'd say anything over 21 is far too old but it does totally depend on you and the guy- if you're quite mature then you may be able to handle a relationship with someone who is 20 or 21. You'd have to be sure he was interested in you as a person rather than seeing you as a kid he can use to his advantage if you get what i mean (without trying to be rude!!). Just be sensible and use your head

Well when I was 17 I was dating a 22 yr old. I have always like older men because the maturity level is finally there lol. If your parents are okay with it then thats fine. I think no one older than 22 because they are still in college. Once guys are out of college its like buisness, carrer mode...definitely alot different. good luck!

It doesnt really matter the age it matters how you feel for the guy. I would go for 23 or 22 . And stop ther because if you go with a too old guy then he wil want to start a familt or something and you will still be in college... or highshool. SO 22 23

It depends on the guy. You want to find somebody who's of similar maturity to you. If you are mature for your age, you probably find guys your age too immature for you, as guys tend to mature slower than women do anyway. The danger is that if you look to older guys you find that they have different lifestyles (this will even be an issue with college students or people who have left school and working full time, who are only a year or two older than you), experiences and expectations, and this can be a recipee for disaster. 18 year olds would be good for you, as, being still in High School, as I presume you are, they're in a similar life stage to you, but you've found these guys to be unsuitable. 19 or 20 year olds are probably more what you are looking for maturity-wise, but age is a potentially hot issue even with this relatively small gap. But, as I said, it depends on the guy. I wouldn't advise looking at anyone much over 20, but be open-minded: not all older guys are creepy leches, but similarly, not all younger ones are immature jerks. Just be careful and don't rush in to anything with somebody who is in a very different place in their life to where you are in yours - think before you jump.

Back to this ol's legal age thing in the US (Man, over here in England its 16, which solves some problems but creates more). Just cos' you go out with someone doesn't mean you have to do the deed, and if someone is willing to wait till your a) ready and b) legal, then perhaps that might demonstrate the maturity that you're looking for.

Okay, you see that last question, which is the one I'm suppose to be answering? That there, is a stupid/retarded answer, and so someone like you, shouldn't really have the "more mature ones." Infact, you shouldn't even be dating. Just... don't think about it too much. You'll get over it.

Seventeen is a very, very tricky age for dating. I'm sure you've heard about all the statutory stuff about guys over 18 going out with anybody under 18. Having said that, who do you find attractive? Who do you relate to best? Who makes you feel good about yourself? Right now, it seems as if there IS some 'perfect' age limit, but as you get older, that gap closes significantly. So, now at 17... 19 or 20 years old may be that perfect limit because it's a respectable 2-3 year age difference. When you are in your 20's, say 26, and you meet someone who is 30-31, that's a 4-5 year limit and THAT is perfectly respectable. Don't lock yourself in too quickly to a specific age.

I'd stop at 19 years old, you have to be careful with people who are over 18, because they can get in trouble for statutory rape, and they may seem immature, but you can always wait until your 18, but that doesn't mean you're free to go off with 30 year old men, men like that are only big perverts, theres no 'love', its just sick.

I would say anyone older than 22 is to old for you just wait and the right guy will come along for you. Dont go searching for love Love will find you. EDIT to what you said in the feedback You are welcome
