Gamers o_0

Question Posted Monday August 23 2004, 8:25 pm

Is it true that girls dont like gamers? By gamers i mean people who play video games as a hobby or a profession. Also is it true that they dont like computer techs? It seems like everywhere around where i live that girls find that to be a turn off. I live in Tennessee, if that helps. Just wondering.

I will re-phrase your questions. Hot girls don't like "gamers" and neither do girls who have what you call a LIFE or a prospect. If you snag a really desperate, dependent, needy and most likely dorky girl you might do okay. I would suggest you either grow out of your "gaming" phase before trying to date or embrace the fact that you will be masturbating for the foreseeable future.

Girls LOVE gamers. Maybe it's the way they push those buttons, those shiny, erotic buttons. Or maybe it's the fucking sexy way gamers tend to spend hours upon sensuous hours on a game, sometimes even all.night.long...

Girls also like the way computer techs can tweak them wires.

And you just KNOW it takes alot of testosterone to beat those big scary video games. Only a man could.

I see nothing wrong with playing video games for fun, but as a job..please spare me. Guys who are into computers, sure, why not. But if its all they ever do and dont have a life outside of computers..thats rediculous. Your bound to find someone whos into that stuff as much as you are!

I like guys who can tell me what games are the best and how to get my computer out of trouble. (I needed that like two months ago. The blue screen of death blew my hard drive. Lol) I think you just need to find a girl who appreciates video games and computer stuff as much as you do.

I think the best part of dating a gamer would be that you would probably know right where he is: in front of the tv. As long as you don't ignore your girlfriend, everything should be fine. You might find a girl that likes to play as well. As far as computer techs, sometimes those guy make a fairly good living and that makes living a little easier. I think its more of a problem if they don't like dealing with people or being social.

russianspy1234 answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 3:34 am:
depends on how gamer they are. if they play everquest 24/7 then they would be hardpressed to find a gf. but if they are like me and play occasionaly, know quite a bit about computers but arent nerds, the it should be fine. met one of my GFs because she needed help with an assignment in comp sci

My fiance is a gamer, and I love him to death. He spends at LEAST an hour a day on his games, but usually much more. Sometimes I join him, sometimes I let him game by himself. It's not a problem, I actually think it's kind of cute.

I don't mind it if they play the games or are into computers, just as ong as they don't talk about it all the time. I'm pretty sure my bf gets tired of me talking about my god damned Super mario all the time. lol. They are all really sweet guys, give them a chance.

MrsPhelps answered Monday August 23 2004, 9:20 pm:
This is a rather interesting question, I've never seen anyone ask this sort of thing before. But, there's a first time for everything!

I, being a girl and all, feel I can answer this by saying that I don't think girls really care if you're a computer nerd or a "gamer." Some girls actually are gamers. (I sort of am.) But if a girl doesn't like you just because you're a video game kind of person, it's probably because she's one of the more superficial chicks out there. I don't think it's a turn off, but not many girls are really interested in video games.

So, basically, I don't think that girls find it to be a turn off, even if some of them are not video game people. And if a girl doesn't like you JUST because you're a gamer, that's pretty stupid that they didn't get to know you better first and...well, their loss!

I disagree completely with the whole "girls don't like gamers or computer techs" thing. I'm dating a gamer, of sorts. He's the most romantic guy ever, and he's like, my perfect guy. Video games are fun...he's convinced me to try a few, lol. I used to be rather anti-video game, but not so much anymore.
Just make sure that you can talk about things OTHER than video games. Lol.

Nope, it isn't true. Girls just don't like it when guys always talk about their video games and computer stuff. Sorry, but it's a turn off for us girls. You can still play your video games and go on the computer but just don't talk about it lol. Hope I helped :)

I do. I like video gamers, and have been accused of being one myself. And if a guy is a computer tech, he has to be smart, if he's also funny and just fun to be around then I'd go for him.
