2. I want my braces to not stand out so much (right now I have hot pink rubberbands) and I was thinking about getting either clear or white rubberbands. But I heard that the white rubberbands make your teeth look yellow. And I heard that the clear rubberbands turn the color of whatever food you eat. Is this true?? Does anybody have clear or white rubberbands that could give me some advice?? Help!! Thanks!! (link)

I had braces. I also tried white, clear, and every other color my orthodontist had. I never found any problem with any color except the white ones. The perfect white of the rubberbands against your teeth will make them look more yellow. So I suggest you choose a clear if it has to be one of those two. If you can use another color, I suggest grey. They'll blend with your braces without making them look bigger like black ones, and they won't make you look like you have paint on your teeth. I believe they're the best choice. Hope I was of some help.

For a really dramatic change go for something like ice blue or grey. It'll mak your eyes stand out. And if you're just looking to go a little lighter without the drama then look at a honey brown. It'll be lighter than your natural color but it won't be as dramatic as the blue and grey.

Hey, I'm a female of 14 years old. My boyfriend dumped me 2 and a half months ago. I love him more then any thing and I just can't get over him. My best friend likes him too and says she likes him just as much as I do... which is hard to believe because she just recently started REALLY hanging out with him. He seems like he likes her too, but I've asked him countless times and every time he's said no. What I'm getting at is if he does like her and if he does decide to ask her out, what do I do? I love him more then any thing and to see them together and happy would kill me. I know I should be happy for them if they do decide to take it to the next level but I don't think thats possible. I know how you feel about not being able to get over a boyfriend and a friend wanting to hook up with him afterwards. My b/f of 2 months dumped me and four hours later started going out with my best friend who had previously dated him for about 2 weeks. I would suggest telling your friend that you understand that she likes him and all but right now it really hurts you that he might like her and you're not ready to see him move on. She should understand. If not though, talk to him. Tell him the same. Tell him that even though your friend likes him that you're just not ready to see him move on. Say that you'd rather see him alone for another week or two. Also say that this decision isn't completely selfish. You think that the two of them spending more time together outside of the "couple" situation would strengthen their relationship and show what their true feelings are.

okay so im 13 goin out with this boy 13 aswell. ive been goin out with him for about a week and i just broke the news to my mom that im dating him. well this is really the first time i told my mom about n e of my boyfriends and she took it fine. its just that i dont knoe how to ask her if i can go out on a date with him. i mean i dont really even have n e ideas for a date. it doesnt even have to b one on one it could just b a trip to the mall or a local foot ball game but its weird i dont knoe how to talk to my mom about these kinds of things. please help me out and give me maybe an idea for a date (parent aprovel) and a way to ask my mom and dad if i can go threw with the date.

If you're going out with him and your Mom doesn't have a problem with it I think that a first date should be going out with a bunch of friends. Go roller blading or to some place public with alot of people around. And go with friends so you have someone to talk to when your boy goes to get a drink or to the bathroom or something. Make sure your friends don't mind a co-op date as well. And if you have friends in relationships, a whole bunch of you should go on your date. Like a multi-date. It'd be fun. Hope this helped you out.

It's perfectly fine for older people to date younger. I dated a freshman my sophomore year in high school. I'm a Junior now. I think there's no reason why you shouldn't go for him if you like him and he likes you.

After putting chap stick,lotion,etc on my lips, my lips are really soft, but when I add lip gloss over it my lips tend to peel. I use Clinique and MAC lip gloss some of those most expensive lip glosses n it still makes my lips peel. Is there anything I can do to not make them peel? Its driving me insane! use vaseline instead of lip gloss. It won't dry out your lips and it'll look the same. If you want it to smell and taste like lip gloss put some Vaseline in a clean, empty film case and put vaseline and a powder drink mix that you like and mix it in. Let it sit over night and you'll have flavored, slightly tinted lip gloss.

What people do in my school is take wrapping paper and cover the outside of the locker with it. Then take ribbon and curl it. Make a bunch of strings of ribbon about 6 inches long and tape them together after curling them and stick them to the locker. Take a different colored or patterned paper and write happy birthday in bubble letters and her name. Then if you want you could take a card, have all her friends sign it and then put it in an envelope and stick it behind a flap in the paper on the locker and stick the card underneath with a clue that it's under there so she doesn't miss it. It's fun and a total surprise.

If you put a flyer up for a baby sitting service, give them your name, phone number, and how old you are, people should trust you well enough. If they call and ask you to babysit, make sure your parent or your friend's parent drops you off. Don't walk or ride bikes there no matter close it is. It's best an adult knows exactly where you are. And if you're babysitting more than one child or a child you know is a little bit of a terror then you should bring a friend along. It will also keep you from being bored if the kid happens to fall asleep or if you're staying at night to babysit while the parents go to a movie or dinner or something.

Okay. Have you told her that you don't want to lose her as a friend and how much she means to you? If you haven't then you should. If you've tried and it didn't work then I think you should try telling her again. It's better than losing your best friend.

I am a 13 female and recently I just found out I am pregnant. I have no one for the baby except for my boyfriend who is the father. He is 16. My parents and me never keep in touch anymore so I live with my sister who is 18. She is never home and won't get mad if she found out I was pregnant. My boyfriend knows and is really happy. He is glad I am pregnant. But I'm not. I mean I am going to have the baby and keep it and i will love it but I am too young. But I do not know what I should do with my boyfriend. I think that you should discuss options with your boyfriend. Since you are too young to have a child you should ask him if he would mind if you give birth and give it up for adoption or not. Even if he says he's against it it's your decision. It's your body. But just be warned. If you do decide to have it and keep it you will be faced with hard times. If you give it up it has a chance for a better life and you won't have to get an abortion. And with adoption there's always the possibility of finding your child when you're older and ready for it.

I would go for a red orange or black (or any mixture of the colors) because those are the formal colors of a tango dress. I also suggest something with an uneven hem on the bottom. The dress should be cut somewhere near the middle of your calves. It will flounce around your legs when you dance to attract attention to them. hey! I was wondering if anyone had a dance team at their middle school. 3 of my friends and I are starting one this year and are sort of like the coaches/captins cuz we have to make up the dances, do tryouts and all that. We didnt know how much we would really do with the dance team though cuz all the other teams at our school are just cheerleading (they cheer during the games and go to competition), baseball, soccer, and basketball. We knew we would try to go to competition, but if thats only a couple times during the year or whatever what else would we do? (link)

Alot of teams have things called pom pom squads. That's basically a dance team that does stuff as school assemblies and pep rallies. You have the option of going to competition but it's most likely going to happen that your school will want you to either find a sponsor or raise the money yourselves to go. You'll need money for a bus to get there and back, uniforms, and chaparones (unless they're voulenteers). This should take alot of hard work. But good luck!
