middle school dance team
hey! I was wondering if anyone had a dance team at their middle school. 3 of my friends and I are starting one this year and are sort of like the coaches/captins cuz we have to make up the dances, do tryouts and all that. We didnt know how much we would really do with the dance team though cuz all the other teams at our school are just cheerleading (they cheer during the games and go to competition), baseball, soccer, and basketball. We knew we would try to go to competition, but if thats only a couple times during the year or whatever what else would we do?

Alot of teams have things called pom pom squads. That's basically a dance team that does stuff as school assemblies and pep rallies. You have the option of going to competition but it's most likely going to happen that your school will want you to either find a sponsor or raise the money yourselves to go. You'll need money for a bus to get there and back, uniforms, and chaparones (unless they're voulenteers). This should take alot of hard work. But good luck!

Hey awesome question cuz i have a dance team at my skol n imma captain! n im serious. WE dance at the basketball games n try to go to competions. Um.... u shood have lyk a fundraiser or something n dance there n raise money 4 lyk costumes or a charity. u shood get the cheerleaders to cheer there too. Hope i helped. Millie**

When I was in middle school we had one, you could try like having a show somewhere like have a Christmas show or something, that way you are raising money, you're getting practice in front of audiences and you're having fun

at my school the dance team does some stuff in between half time and stuff. sometimes they do that with the cheerleaders

well i hav a dance team @ mi school but im in cheerleading. ( u must hate me now rite? ) dance is a lot of fun nd pppl injoy it. u can hav fundraisers nd do comunity dance 2 entertain ppl. do competitions a few times. the longer the practice the better the performance. good luc :)

I know that Cheerleaders seem to take up all the good spots, but thats where you need to get creative! You could do some good things for your school or community. Have fundraisers! Use your excellent dancing talent to keep people entertained. Besides, you might be glad Dance COmpetitions are only a few times a year, you get longer to practice than cheerleaders (they have games all the time!) so you look better :-D
