Jessie1734 answered Friday August 27 2004, 6:24 pm: If you mean a singing voice I've got you covered. I myself is a singer. Everyone can sing, don't let anyone ever tell you that not everyone can't. All you have to do is take voice lessons if you don't see results then maybe singing is not your thing. If you need anything else drop something in my inbox.

Siren_Cytherea answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 12:32 am: Voice lessons are KEY.
I had an okay voice when I was little, but I needed training. Now that I've been taking voice lessons since eighth grade, I have the power behind my voice to sing real opera, and I got picked as one of the top 11 singers in the state.
The way to improve your voice is to improve your technique, and the only way to do that is to train with someone who has the technique down pat already. Take it from me - it's fun. ^_^
Good luck!

Moop answered Thursday July 22 2004, 5:24 pm: if you can already sing pretty well and can stay on key and that, you can do the following (to eliminate scratchiness):
1. Eat a mint. This step is optional. If you haven't had anything with caffeine in it (which is a must for good singers, it coats the vocal cords) you can go to step two. I like to do this anyway.
2. Eat two tablespoons of honey. This is a bit like rosin on the bows of stringed instruments.
3. Drink a glass of milk immediately following honey. If the milk is cold enough you'll feel a burning down your throat. This does absolutely nothing and is horribly painful but you need to wash that honey down somehow.
girdy_goo15 answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 12:46 am: you have to practice everyday to improve your voice. your born with a certain train of voice and you can inhance it but you will still have the same voice. good luck [ girdy_goo15's advice column | Ask girdy_goo15 A Question ]

Maisie answered Saturday July 17 2004, 10:54 pm: Take voice lessons. If you can't afford it or simply don't want to do it, then practice constantly. Sing along with a piano or other instrument (be sure it's tuned properly so you know what notes you're hitting) and learn your range, then just go with it. When you've trained yourself well enough you may try expanding your range.
As far as your actual voice goes, I don't think it's necessary for anyone to change their voice. If you want to assert your singing talent and try to cut some sort of record deal (which, I may add, is really friggin' difficult if you live in a small town) don't worry about your voice. Remember: no matter who you are or what you sound like, there will always be people who adore you. For example: some people listen to Mudvayne and Slipknot. Vocal talent? I think not.
I'd like to know if this helped you any, because this is a topic I'm interested in so... let me know if it helped you any.
miSScxoxo821 answered Saturday July 17 2004, 9:59 pm: Dear Singer,
Singing is a talent. Some people have it, and some people don't. Others are born with it, and others have to wait. Some people can hit the highest note on the piano, most can not. If you want to become a singer, I would get a vocal teacher. Someone who will show you notations, breathing, and find your singing range, and try to increase your singing range. But before you go out and start singing with your vocal teacher, think of what type of singing you would like to do. There is a lot of varity to choose from, and you can use as many styles as you'd like. If you can't deside maybe your vocal teacher can help you, or/and find what style suits you. Singing isn't easy, so you must always remember, when the going gets tough the tough gets going. Always stay strong no matter how hard it is. One day it will be easy for you, but it might take a months, or years. But never say never, but only if you don't like your vocal teacher because you can change to a different vocal teacher if things aren't working out. When things aren't working out, or you feel like calling it quits, just say to yourself, "I've come this far, and I can go further...but, is this what I really want? I can make my dream of being a singer come true, or I can find another dream." Dreams do come true, only you can provide your own happiness. So, make a phone call, hook yourself up with a vocal teacher, and give it your best till you become the best.
I hope that helps! You can always come to me for advice if you'd like!

Lizzy answered Saturday July 17 2004, 9:00 pm: It's not really getting a better voice, but training it right, make sure you breathe through your diaphram instead of your chest, and also, learn the basics. You can't sing pop, or rock or punk without the basics. Make sure you practice no more than an hour and no less than a half hour everyday so you don't strain your voice.
